I have. A lot to say. A lot of it I haven't figured out how to say yet. Not in a productive way. For now I will say this:
Take the time you need to cry, to grieve, to learn how to breathe again.
And then tell yourself you will survive.
I know. I know.
But tell yourself you will. Do not give them the victory of your despair. Do not go quietly.
Put on your sunscreen. Drink your water. Focus on what you need to keep going and keep going.
We've got work to do.
I suspect we've actually seen evidence of Atsushi manipulating the timeline already.
"Remi, what on Earth are you talking about? Surely, we would have noticed such a thing! And also who are you and when did you get here?"
We've actually seen him do it quite a bit. But we've gotten so used to it and it arrived so early, we didn't question it:
Every time he heals.
Let's jump back to chapter seven - remember what Yosano says?
"A complete restoration" like the injury never happened. Now, my Bleach fangirl isshowing, but there's a character in Bleach with a similar prowess when it comes to healing, and it's eventually revealed that he ability is not healing, not regeneration, but negation. She undoes what has happened to restore things to how they were before. It's a time ability.
So consider: the Tiger doesn't heal, doesn't regenerate. Rather, it merely jumps to or pulls on a page or timeline where the hit never happened, restoring itself and Atsushi to full health.
Snip, snip.
*cackles in validation* Hey. Hey guys. Is Atsushi the bookmark because he’s the protagonist of the story and thus the page is marked depending on his phase of the journey, or is he the protagonist because he is the bookmark, where his very existence necessitates him becoming a catalyst so the story can unfold and be read in linear time?
:P i always feel conflicted abt chuuya in the mafia bc i dont think he's happy at all but i do think he's comfortable and has found some kind of connection to the people there. Sometimes those things don't reconcile.
But ok. Also with nearly the entire Port Mafia being in a current status '?????' right now and the bait n switch of Chuuya having faked being a vampire, he HAS to know what's going on in Yokohama atm right?? He has to know that some of his closest friends(and coworkers) have been turned, and that Mori deliberately sent him away from the center of the action. He probably agreed to save Dazai just by the principle of Dazai being his friend but he's made it clear that he doesn't want to be in Meursault right now.
Idk i really want to know whats going on in chuuya's mind. What's he thinking?
Now this is what I call a fight!
Based on @whathorselegs' wish/headcanon post, about Atsushi and Chuuya fighting and Atsushi's claws cutting through Chuuya's gravity manipulation. The visual of it gripped me by the throat.
New Year’s resolution is to actually be a presence* and like participate and make stuff. Yeah. We’ll go with that.
oh and actually read the damn comic. And be nicer to myself, sure.
