Storyboards by Toby Cochran
“Super Giant Robot Brothers story crew knocked out 10 episodes in roughly 10 weeks! All without traditional storyboarding! HOW?! You might ask...
Because we didn't draw storyboards we created comics, that were then used on Set for the the director, actors & crew to use as a guideline during filming.
Super fun way to create the foundation for a show, and knockout an entire season in no time.” — Toby Cochran

Sometimes being an artist is feeling like a baker seeing a chemist making the deadliest liquid in the world and wishing you could make the deadliest liquid as well but you're a baker, not a chemist, and then you feel like your bread is worthless

people talk about how parents who need to know every detail of their kids' lives will simply cause their children to become compulsively secretive and deceptive, but a fun fact is that sometimes it can go the other way, where the child completely abandons all their boundaries and need for privacy and habitually surrenders deeply personal information at the drop of a hat.
and that's: ✨🎉🕺 NOT good either 🕺🎉✨
if you have bad color sense like me and want to trick ppl into thinking that you know what you're doing.
note: every detail should come together nicely and lead your eyes to the main focus :)
Continue refining the shadows/highlights. Add interesting textures/ artistic effects.
I personally love duplicating the lineart, put it on overlay (with color) and move it slightly off-center it creates nice highlights on areas with seams when you don't want chromatic abberation.
It's Tako-lucky the takoyaki! When he's around you know it will be your lucky day!

hrrrggghhhh......philosophy of art......praxis.........the idea that a certain level of complexity or a certain kind of technical skill is what qualifies something as art is bullshit.............so you have to think that way about your own art too you have to be consistent.........you have to choose how you refer to your art thoughtfully to reflect this or it will never sink into your brain..............save me jacob geller video essay "Who's Afraid of Modern Art" ............
