It had been a long time since you had even considered going home to the Summer Court. You were happy there. It wasn't the place you lived in per se, but the people you lived with.

You had been through so much in your damn existence that thinking about how happy you were now felt strange. Watching the Cider from the terrace of your home.

You'd had to run away from home five years ago, find a place to live there, in Velaris, you didn't even remember how the hell you got there, but you had.

Morrigan had found you, and despite being a complete stranger, had taken you to the House of the Wind to heal your wounds and bruises. You had been offered a home there, and although you did not know how this place had been kept safe from Amarantha's clutches, you were very happy to have found it.

Your relationship with Mor had grown into great friends, or at least that was until Rhysand came back from Under the Mountain, when she began to inadvertently drift away from her to focus on her family. And then came Feyre Archeron, she seemed like a very nice and cordial female, but she was not the person you liked best.

The inner circle had accepted you for a year, although now with the new acquaintances it was difficult for you to feel completely comfortable in her company. Or at least that's how it was until you went to rescue Feyre's sisters, Mor had asked you for help and it hadn't even cost you to go with them no matter what.

After all, you owed Mor one. But now that the Cortes were free, the desire to return home had increased. But it was the moment you saw the eldest of the Archerons that you knew you could never go anywhere without knowing that she would be safe, fighting to keep from being thrown into the Cauldron.

You didn't know why, but you would do everything for her. You had tried to help her recovery, being there for her as a support to her, no matter how many times she kicked you out of it. You had been there, you had accompanied her on her journey towards peace of mind and being comfortable with herself, and that had been important to you.

You had found a small family in the process, with the Valkyries, being part of them, getting closer to Azriel and Cassian, because you had never been part of the inner circle, you never would be, because your safe place was with them, with Nesta, Emerie, Gwyn, Cassian and Azriel, although the last two were part of the inner circle.

Your feelings for Nesta had been very present along the way, trying not to bloom every time she felt comfortable with you, which progressed by the moment, that feeling of being very comfortable with you. Until one day she drunk you had not been able to bite her tongue and you had confessed what you felt.

And now you were happily living with your girlfriend in a beautiful house, with extra rooms for your friends and family. Although there were slight problems with Elain and you, mainly you couldn't stand her, you didn't know it was hers but there was something you couldn't stand about her that made you feel bad, very bad.

You had been very happy when Emerie discovered her bond with Mor, happy for what you considered your sister and the first friend you had there. Then came Azriel and Gwyn's bond, and you were beyond ecstatic to see them both happy, with their mates.

Nesta's arms hugged you around your waist, pressing your back against her chest. The fact that Nesta was six inches taller than you couldn't bother you and please you more, in equal measure.

She left a kiss on your cheek, with a smile, you were home, you were home with her, you didn't care about the damn mating bond, there was no one better for you than her.

"I've missed you" she murmured as she rested her head on yours.

"Me too, you should work less" you spoke, with a certain grace.

"Said the donkey talking about ears" Nesta scoffed with a smile, as she lowered one of her hands into your bulging pocket.

Her happiness was quickly changed to nervousness, but Nesta continued on her way until she reached into her pocket and pulled out a black velvet box, a smirk on her lips.

You let go of her grip, the nervousness you felt right now was getting to you.

"What is this, little one?" You looked into her eyes over your lashes, without raising your head, feeling how she was getting more and more nervous.

You searched for the words you had prepared with Gwyn and Cassian, maybe they weren't the best people you should have practiced with, maybe Azriel's seriousness would have been better for you, but it was over, now you had to think about what was happening right now.

"I know we don't have the bond, but we have a very strong bond between us" you spoke looking away and biting your lower lip insecurity "but I'm sure I want to spend the rest of my days with you, Nesta Archeron, and since we're not very traditional I have not bought a ring. But what was I going, Nesta Archeron do you want to spend the rest of our lives with me?"

Nesta she lifted her chin at you, her eyes shining with surprise and happiness, pure happiness.

"This is the bond, I don't know why it hasn't appeared for you, but it is the mating bond" she murmured looking at you with love "so yes, a thousand and one times I do want to spend the rest of my days with you, sweetness" she spoke with a smile. "Even though I was waiting for tonight to propose, I guess we both know we're not traditional, because I'm not into a ring either," she spoke with some grace, picking up a larger gray velvet box. "Open it."

You accepted the order without question, while she opened her box. In yours there was a tiara, silver with bluish gray stones like her eyes, perhaps it was her laugh that made you realize that you had given her a matching necklace, even in those moments when you did not do it on purpose you managed to get on agreement.

"You help me?" You nodded, taking the necklace and putting it around your fiancée's neck as she pushed her hair forward.

She had cut it off a couple of months ago and now she had it up to her shoulders, a little lower maybe. Since she wore it short, you used to braid it yourself or leave it loose, whatever the result, you loved it.

As soon as you fastened it, she turned a hundred and eighty degrees to put her hands on your waist again and plant a kiss on your lips. Then something appeared between you, the bond that you had wanted so much to appear appeared.

You tugged on it a bit, testing it for real, then harder and Nesta smiled, breaking the kiss.

"It has appeared to you" she murmured even happier.

"Since when do you know?"

"A year and a half ago" around that time you had kissed for the first time. "But I wanted it to show up instead of telling you, I guess things don't always go our way." She murmured kissing you again.

Im thinking that Eris is a total jerk, but a funny type of jerk that on the inside is like a fluffy cloud, but he doesn't show that part of himself cause he's son of Beron y'know.

Azriel is like a moody cloud, like very close up but at the same time very funny and sarcastic when he wants it, I totally feel he's a cuddler and Eris loves it, but at first it was like hell no.

My headcanons about Eris is that he loves in secret Lucien, like he's his little brother y'know. Other headcanons are that he has a total skincare routine for every f*cking day, like he doesn't go to sleep without it.

About Azriel is that he has bat slippers, like really fluffy and comfortable, he prefers soft surfaces to stay like for sleeping or just sitting around cause he doesn't think quite well of himself but he loves to take care of his body at his age and is sth important to him.

I don't want like a fluffy fic from start to end, like something between angst to almost the end and then some fluff. Also no Nyx, or Feysand, cause like they have so many f*cking fanfics and many books I want it to be this two centered.

There are no no-go topics for me, like I don't really want to see the things I've mentioned but are okay if your idea have them.

Like maybe yes, maybe not, it all depends if you want to make an angsty fic and your idea matches it. Don't really care about that.
