saw the opportunity to rant about my favorite characters and went for it. you would not believe just how long i obsessed over wilson from donât starve. i mean sure the big big hyperfixation part where i kept drawing him and telling my friends about him was majorly just throughout middle school and it died out a lot after that, but oh my gosh i still love that goober so much. i think i just have a thing for tall lanky characters who either act goofy or funny without hiding it, or who try their best to act oh so professional and wise but are a goofball at heart. i mean you see wilson just doing his best to make a new invention in the original cutscene / opening animation for ds, but i mean you canât say he isnât a stubborn goober, just look at him. and the outfit. oh my gosh the outfit. i love his waistcoat so much and i mean his hair too, everything just ties in together and in conclusion he is a wonderful little goofball that lived rent-free in my brain for years and still does. but now iâve def moved onto focusing on a lot of other funny characters from other indie games but that gentleman scientist holds a special place in my brain / heart.
originally was going to end this at the wilson ted-talk but nah im gonna talk more since this to me also feels like a really fun writing exercise, i hope you donât mind.
not sure which blorbo came after wilson, but iâm sure whoever it was had also come from an indie game roguelike. pretty sure it was bobby / the prisoner from dead cells. i mean, especially with how fast paced that game can be, i love the little moments where you can talk to npcs and listen to basically bobbyâs thoughts. and i love the concept of him just being like this. sentient and pretty much immortal lump of what looks like guts that can always possess bodies for his own. and that detail of him specifically preferring headless bodies is just so neat for some reason since i mean with the concept of him being immortal and all that, you kinda wouldnât think heâd have interests and that heâd just be focused on his goal. but i think i also just mainly really love like how heâs drawn / depicted in all of the dlc trailers, like heâs so much more clumsy.
was gonna go even further but im gonna stop here. before i send this i just wanted to leave a few more notable blorbos of mine. well i mean wilson and bobby are kinda just the main ones but thereâs also stanley and the narrator from the stanley parable, spamton kinda fits into the list, and the most recent one is the pilot from the indie roguelike enter the gungeon.
hell yeah this is what i'm talking about thank you for your time i'm so happy you love that character so much to write so much about them. whenever you feel the need to do anything like this again please do, i loved reading through this and i wish i had the patience to write that much about postal dude...
watch out yâall this ladâs going to be trying to draw robots like v1 and p03 and theyâre going to be posting their progress here. theyâre going to cry a lot during this but they want these men / women / all of the above carnally as well as their flatscreen asses therefore the only solution is to get good at drawing them.

Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)
*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.
This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made. There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.
Save me random cyclops oc on tumblr. Save me
EATING THIS UP THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!
oh my gosh i never thought iâd see someone draw my ocs but again, thank you so so much for this :â]
definitely going to encourage me to draw more of my universe, but again for the third and final time for this post thank you so much, i also just really love how you drew parishâs eye and the expression that strel has, it perfect encapsulates their roles in their despite me not talking about them. expect more concept art of them and me rambling about the story :D
leshy is my weird tree forest deity grandpa and you canât convince me otherwise. i hated him so much at the start mainly because of how i kept dying as well as knowing the fact that he trapped the other scrybes in cards but that one line during the finale, âI sense the end approaching. Please⌠a few more rounds.â just hit me so hard when i played it and now iâll kinda admit i care about him a bit.
random headcanon of mine is that when you die in kayceeâs mod since he isnât shown trapping you in a deathcard, i like to think he just has this random power of being able to put you to sleep my covering your eyes and then you wake back up when you start a new run. also kinda like the idea of him just putting everything back in its place and tidying stuff up while youâre eeping off in the corner of the cabin.
currently obsessed with poorly rendering hollow knight characters
look at the bug !! their form fluctuates between human-esque and shadowy depending on who theyâre interacting with lalala
trick or treat :D
