“Support you?” Johnny laughs as if you’re being crazy. “Supporting you is what friends do.”

Except he’s not really your ‘friend’, and supporting doesn’t mean simply being ‘a shoulder to cry on’.

You hear Johnny scoff. “The necklace you’re wearing would beg to differ.”

His large hand wraps around the nape of your neck, tugging at the pearls he’d gifted you when you’d been hired- and stolen away from the job that had allowed you to meet him and all your other idol fuck buddies in the first place.

“If you feel bad about just ‘taking’ our money then…” Johnny sighs, nosing your cheek so you look up at him, “become a cam girl for us or something.”

Imagine behind home, spending time with you family, when the news that you've lost your job breaks. Imagine finding out this news when you open Instagram to post a picture of your pet raccoon, and that's the first thing you see.

That was the reality for Logan Sargeant. He was at home, sitting on the sofa with Moon. Part of him new that he should have been on a run (taking Moon with him because he had gotten a little chunky in recent times), or in his sim rig, practicing Monza. He couldn't help but feel shit that he was sat there with Moon.

But Moon was being cute. He was asleep on Logan's lap, letting out these little snoring noises. It was so cute, he couldn't bring himself to move him.

So, he opened Instagram, ready to put a picture of Moon on his story. That was all his Instagram story was. On race weekends, that was what it was about. The rest of the time, it was about Moon.

The first picture that graced his eyes was from his very own team. It wasn't unusual to see Williams posts be the first thing on his feed, posts about him and Alex usually.

But not this time.

F2 driver, Franco Colapinto, was on his feed. That was odd, Logan didn't usually get much F2 content. Since he'd gotten Moon, his feed had been F1 and raccoons.

So what the hell was Colapinto doing on his feed?

The phone fell from his hands. It made a loud noise as it fell to the floor, waking the animal in his lap. Moon immediately woke up. He turned to his father, little raccoon hands touching his face as the tears started to fall.
