Nobody Really Talks About How Lonely It Can Be As A Radfem, Especially How Alienated You Feel From Other

Nobody really talks about how lonely it can be as a radfem, especially how alienated you feel from other women. The continuous betrayal and ridicule you’ll experience from the same people who agree with surface-level feminist analyses is so disheartening.

You’re eager to criticize poor male behavior yet you also vehemently deny real-world oppression that we all suffer from? Acknowledging the wage gap and sexual violence statistics is all fun and games but deconstructing anything beyond that is somehow taking things too far? Do you not see the irony in condemning things like the cosmetic industry while degrading other women who choose not to shave?

I want to know at what point they think the oppression of women starts and stops. Do you genuinely believe that thousands of years of misogyny simply disappears overnight? Is it truly the case that your father, your brother, your boyfriend have miraculously been deprogrammed and it’s all other men that are the problem?

Everyone wants to shit on men until it comes time to reconcile with the fact that the majority of them actively and intentionally contribute to maintaining a patriarchal society. Then it just gets too real

in barbieland, where everything was perfect for women, men were safe. they didn't suffer, they took full part in society, they just weren't the "main characters". but when Barbieland was captured by men, women were instantly in danger. they began to be held for service and objectified.

the authors conveyed the essence very well and clearly, which not everyone understood

giving us a day doesnt give us our rights. once again men contribute nothing

Women's day coming up can't wait to answer "I'll be happy when you stop killing us" to all men who tell me "happy women's day!!!!"

the next 4 years will be dark for americans. to all of those who are in a dark place right now, please remember that if you give up, if you let go, and if you stop being who you truly are, you'll only be giving conservatives what they want. please remember to take a break and do something you enjoy to take your mind off of things, surround yourself with people who love and protect you; and if you don't have anyone like that, always love and protect yourself.

you don't need to always be up-to-date on the political state of the country and how things are going, especially not if it effects you mentally. you're allowed to disconnect, you're allowed to put your head in the sand and block it out, because you need to stay strong.

or, maybe staying up to date helps you stay strong. maybe it motivates and encourages you to push through and hope for a better future. you are more capable than you think.

remember: don't snitch, take things easy when you need to, use your resources, and put yourself first. if you ever need to talk, mine and many others' messages are open.

I cannot believe what I am about to say, but radical feminism is healing me.

I’ve been suffering from an eating disorder (an0rex1a) nearly all my life, my first worries about weight started when I was 9 years old and slightly chubby (and people made sure to point out that was bad).

More than a year ago, I reached my weight goal of 45kg at 175cm (99 lbs at 5’9"), and I thought I had made it. Finally, I became undeniably skinny, skinnier than most, the smallest I could be without dying, and therefore worthy.

Spending my days faintly, mostly sleeping, unable to work, study, or read, I thought that made me better. That my endless suffering meant I was worthy of true love, admiration, and all the better things in life.

Looking back, I am sad for my past self. For the first time in my life, I am making an effort to gain weight, to gain my life, my capacity, my abilities. I gained 7kg (15 pounds) in a year, but most of it came after reading (and taking it in—which took months) radical feminism theory, and now, being in this community.

Now, eating breakfast worth of calories of my full day back then, I feel freer. I am genuinely stopping equating my worth to my suffering, not just pretending I do in front of therapists and psychiatrists—but from within.

I cannot stress it enough. I had never been this free in my life, and throughout the endless years of treatment, I was sure I was never going to heal; some therapists even declined to work with me, for I was deemed a desperate case.

Therapy has flaws, as it focuses on the individual, on our own actions, while radical feminism points out the wider problem—systemic oppression.

The problem was never me.

Yo, correct me if I am wrong please, but didn't Hitler rise to power because he promised to fix the German economy and people really liked that so they looked past everything else he was doing??? Like exactly what's happening in America right now???

So many people said they voted for Trump, put a truly evil person in power, because he said he'd fix the economy, and a little voice in my head is going, "Isn't that what happened with fucking Hitler??"

But I've seen no one point that out so maybe I'm miss remembering???????

I know two men who are currently single. One is 26, and the other is 38.

I’ve spoken with both of them at length about what they want in a woman, seeing as they’re cishet and white.

They both immediately went for physical attributes. Thin, but needs to have a nice butt. Boobs can’t be too big. One likes short hair, the other likes long hair. They also went into facial features for some reason. That was the part that made me really uncomfortable as I hadn’t expected either of them to have been that focused on appearances.

Aesthetics came next. Both want ‘alt goth / witchy’ women. It should be worth noting both of these men said their potential partner can’t wear too much makeup.

Lastly came personality and interests. They both said this is the most important thing to them, but they also ‘have to be pretty’. Oh, and they need to listen.

I have some single ladies I’ve also spoken with.

It’s the opposite. They rarely care about looks. It’s about chemistry, emotional connection, feeling safe, and sharing common goals / ideals.

While I know it’s not ‘all men’ it sure as fuck is a lot of you. Also both of these men think they’re part of the ‘good cishet white liberal men’ who voted for Kamala, despite one of them not voting at all.

He’s the 38 year old. To make things worse, he’s trying to date a 24 year old. 🤷‍♀️ His criteria for a potential partner was also under the age of 30 because it means less baggage and they’re still ‘fun to be around’.

You don’t want to know what he doesn’t bring to the table. Either of them, rather. 😅

We do have a male loneliness epidemic, but it’s not women’s fault. We don’t owe you anything. We’re not vending machines you put tokens into and get sex out of. Male culture made by men and perpetuated by men has made men this way. And it’s your job as men to fix it, not point the finger at us and say it’s our fault for not wanting to be with you. Some of us like myself want to actually HELP you, but you guys rarely want to listen. You instead want to complain to us about our gender and how unfair we’re being by not giving you a chance.

We don’t owe you anything.

On January 20th, 2025 and forward, they’re going to try to take our rights. They may succeed.

Men have to take from us because they’ve gaslit themselves into seeing us as the enemy, despite having driven us away by their own actions centered around self interest.

“It’s not all men. But it sure is a lot of you.”
