hello, my lovely people! i’m til and first i must thank all of you for joining this little thing that had been stuck in my mind for weeks! i can’t wait to get to know each one of you and plot with your beautiful characters! i have three characters because i’m trash, but i love them all, and i hope you will too! now, for child #1, rafi zafar!

he is the love child of a list hayworth and a nobody named mahira zafar. the only thing the two had in common was their love for drugs and sex, and it was that exact combination that resulted in rafi. and they only met again twice, one of those times when she told hayworth she was pregnant.

he was raised solely by his mother (and an array of good for nothing boyfriends she would periodically get), and that’s why he goes by her surname. although his mother did tell him who his father was rafi never really believed. it made no sense to him, and he thought it was the drugs talking.

his childhood wasn’t the best. his mother never got cleaned for more than a few weeks and growing up it was more rafi taking care of the woman than the other way around. and there was the occasional abusive boyfriend around too. they also didn’t have the best house or any luxuries, but they made it work.

the only reason he’s even at hartcroft right now is because his mother’s boyfriend du jour found out who his biological father was and decided to make some money out of it. hayworth didn’t just pay them and made them sign a nda, but decided it was time to get to know his son (after they did a dna test of course).

so he moved in with his father and his family, but to everyone else he’s just the son of a friend that is staying with them while he’s in la to study. an illegitimate child was just not too good for hayworth’s family. rafi is good with the plan too because it means he won’t have to deal with the attention that the truth would bring.

he still feels very out of place around the gated community and around his family, but he’s making an effort because really he has no better place to be. it’s just too different from what he’s used and he’s not keen on letting people get too close to him. he has a bit of trust issues, you can say. 

life has beaten this one down one too many times so he’s a bit rough around the ages and he likes keeping people at an arms length. he doesn’t like depending on anyone because he has learned through the years that he can only count on himself. he’d rather protect himself than be disappointed again.

he is a freshman at usc, which really he wasn’t planning to even go to college because too damn expensive, but his father made it possible. he hasn’t even picked a major yet and is still trying to figure out what even is that he wants to do. he only accepted because who says no to free education, right?

he is smart and attentive, he is always pay attention to his surroundings, and probably sees and notices more than you’d think. he doesn’t go around telling everyone what he knows though. he’s more the silent kind of guy that will only talk when he feels like or when he thinks he needs to. 

dark, handsome and mysterious all the way this one. i think a lot of people around hartcroft are still out of the loop on who he is and what he’s doing there, and he wants to keep it that way. 

he is not anti-social though and enjoys going out and enjoying himself. he has done plenty of bad stuff back in the day, and surrounded by drugs he has tried pretty much everything. he doesn’t do all the hard stuff though, but he’s weed’s biggest fan. if you need some he always has it.
