You don't have to use certain ingredients in spells if they don't feel right, or if you simply don't vibe with them
When I tried to add rice to an abundance spell, it's like whatever energy the spell had started to accumulate dispersed. When I tried to add ground pepper to a spell, the vibes were just... rancid...
You don't have to include every single corresponding ingredient. Feel it out, see what works and what doesn't. Even better, create your own correspondences
I'm afraid not. Shadow work is really something you do on your own and at your own pace. It's a long and hard journey of self discovery and awareness that takes you into the depths of who you are.
I can only suggest you look up some shadow work prompts regarding your situation specifically and start from there.
I hope it all goes well for you đŽ
Music.
Makes.
Everything.
Better.
Wanna hex someone? Play [insert some sort of rap/angry/music that makes you wanna fight here]
Wanna banish a demon? The only acceptional music is the Doom Ethernal soundtrack babyyyyy [or cocomelon...]
Want some self love or happiness? Play some hyperpop or that pop music from the 2010s [jessie j is specifically good for this]
Need some protection? Play some boss music from your favorite video game [or whatever makes you feel less vulnerable]
See, music can fix everything!
This is a fabulous spell to use on someone who hurts others for his or her own benefit.
Materials:
- Length of jute or hemp cord cut to the height of your target.
Find the center of the cord and tie the first knot there, saying:
"By knot of one, you come undone,
Tie the second knot to the right of the first, saying:
By knot of two, chaos brews,
Tie the third knot to the left of the first, saying:
By knot of three, you'll want to flee,
Tie the fourth knot to the right of the second saying:
But knot of four just lock the doors,
Now alternating left and right, tie the remaining knots as follows chanting the related verse.
The fifth knot:
By knot of five, you lose your drive,
The sixth knot:
By knot of six, your mind plays tricks,
The seventh knot:
By knot of seven, you'll wish for heaven,
The eight knot:
But knot of eight just slams that gate.
The ninth knot:
By knot of nine, your strength declines,
The tenth knot:
By knot of ten, you cannot win,
The eleventh knot:
By knot of eleven, you'll wish for seven,
The twelfth knot:
But that is shelved by knot of twelve.
The thirteenth knot:
It's the thirteenth knot that does you in
And leaves you paying for your sins.
It brings you right down to your knees
And leaves you begging for release.
But none shall come until you've paid
For what you've done, the games you've played,
The folks you've hurt, the lives you've frayed.
And only then shall you receive
Your life again and a reprieve."
Bury a hole at least nine inches deep and bury the cord in the ground.
The Daemonic Witxh's notes: this is a very effective curse and well deserved for those that abuse and harm others on a regular basis. As far as disposal goes, if you don't want to bury it or cannot, you can throw it somewhere else. Get creative. Think of your enemy and the best place to put it. If you feel you might want to untie it at a later date, you can keep it somewhere. I have a cigar box I use for such spells. Also, you can dress the cord in a type of oil after. Banishing, confusion, domination oil, etc. I've had this in one of my grimoires for years and this has become a favorite!
As I always recommend, strengthen your shields/wards and make sure you are doing protection spells on yourself regularly.

I like your blog, a lot.
Which one is your favourite poetry?
Which one is your favourite dark song verse?
Perfect place(s)?
Do you enjoy the dark side of witchcraft? The one who people joke about and beg when they need it?
What do you call yourself? Or how would you describe yourself? Make it long, make it holy.
The Two-Headed Calf gets me every time.
The entirety of The Colour of Leaving by Parkway Drive but if I had to pick one lyric it'd either be "You never know how small your voice is till you're arguing with god" or "I saw death's face today as he lead my friend away, so I'll ask who I gotta pay to bring him back to me". Arguing with god and feeling unheard and trying to pay death to spare a loved one both express pure pain that is so deeply human.
My strongest spells were the ones born out of love and hate. Underestimating the dark side of witchcraft only makes it stronger, more potent.
A traveller of worlds. Inspired by No Man's Sky, it fully resonated with me. I've been through a lot of things in life so far despite my age, seen a lot of things, met people who told me their stories and left, as if me listening to them was the catalyst they needed to go onwards, a save point for their life so far. I remain mostly alone, only a few people came in my life to stay. It used to make me sad, I spent many nights crying with my eyes towards the skies asking why I have to so lonely. But now I'm okay. I'm not lonely anymore. I have so much to discover, so much to see.
It was only recently that I truly understood the power and significance of offerings
In the past, I had tried deity worship. I made offerings that felt accepted but never in return for anything, it was just an act of servitude. It didn't feel right to ask for things. For the longest time, I was alone. I felt lonely, and part of my dabbling in deity practices was an attempt to reach out to someone, to something, to feel less alone, to feel like someone is out there watching over me, caring about me, taking care of me. I felt like a little girl with noone to hold her close and lift the burden on her heart, noone to make her feel light again
Later on, I moved on to other things. It just wasn't a good fit. Ideologies and beliefs shifted and the deity I would turn to when things got hard was the night sky. Tear filled eyes looking up to the stars and pouring my heart out over whatever was hurting me. Funnily enough, I ended up getting what I asked for during those sessions and I chalked it up to my tears being the offering, the energy I released during those moments, an equal exchange as all things are. Still, the night sky wasn't what I was looking for, though it gave me comfort at times
Recently I was in the hospital visiting someone. One of the doctors approached me and asked me for a favor because none of the staff could leave the room due to an emergency. They were out of a sort of bandages and she needed me to go get some from a nearby pharmacy. She showed me the empty pack to know what to get and money to buy it
I paid for it myself and returned the money. They tried to argue but I refused. They've done so much for me, it was the very least I could do. It was nothing, a natural course of action
And yet, walking out of the gates it felt like I paid off a debt, something shifted and I felt like an exchange had been made
An offering accepted.
I pray I am right.
My mind started racing, so many possibilities opened up yet the paths leading to them are still unclear. What do I offer? Who do I offer it to? The universe? The night sky? A familiar?
Occultists, witches and spiritualists really need to stop peddling the lie that spirituality, witchcraft, paganism, etc. isnât a psychological phenomenon as well as a mystical one. Your psychology will in fact, fundamentally inform your experiences with spirituality.
And we also need to stop pretending that spirituality and witchcraft are somehow contrary to mental illness. Or that having a mental illness means you canât do witchcraft.
Iâll be completely honest with you guys and say that certain people with certain afflictions are more predisposed to different âmysticalâ experiences than others. I donât think itâs a great coincidence that I am so great at visualization given that I was raised in a severely neglectful household. It doesnât surprise me that many pagans are lonely people. This doesnât mean to say that spirituality is âfillingâ a hole within anyone (although if it is, thatâs great for you) but more so that, well, this path is unpopular for a reason. Alternative subcultures are alternative for a reason, and outcasts and rejects usually find a home there for a reason.
This also doesnât mean to say that people who engage in witchcraft and spiritualism are inherently mentally ill. There is still a difference between hallucinations and spiritual encounters. And there was never any rule that said that both of these things cannot happen to a single person. For the safety of yourself and others we should be aware of the warning signs of dissociation and hallucination, but that doesnât make anyone âwrongâ for experiencing those things. And experiencing those things doesnât mean you cannot explore spirituality or do witchcraft.
I hate it when âspiritualistsâ who are actually just anti-vax conservatives push the narrative that people with mental health issues cannot participate in spirituality. I also despise the notion that mental health issues are inherently a sign of an energetic imbalance. Weâre all walking around with a special concoction of brain soup in our heads, it doesnât surprise me that Ares devotees tend to have BPD, that many Aphrodite devotees struggle with self harm, that many people who work with angels have paranoia or generalized anxiety.
There was never any rule that said that you cannot use your deities or magic to help you cope with your mental health. I know some people will say âthe Gods arenât here to be your friend or hold your hand through lifeâ but Iâve seen no evidence to suggest thatâs true. I see no reason why a God like Ares couldnât help his devotee with BPD come down after a bout of rage, I see no reason why Dionysus couldnât help his devotee with their alcoholism or substance abuse, I see no reason why Aphrodite couldnât help a devotee with relapse or negative self talk.
Witchcraft and paganism were historically used as a tool for survival, to bring people ease, to help people feel safe and secure, blessed and protected. That applied to all people, including those with mental health issues.
This list is based off of resources I have found as well as my personal experiences.
As with all correspondences, this is a place to start from, not the end-all be-all of color meanings.

What it is: A deity non-specific altar is exactly as it sounds - it is an altar that is not dedicated to any specific god or goddess (though it can be connected to say, a general concept of god/goddess). It is a place that is an altar for your craft, using your power, your passion, your energy, and any ancestors, spirits, or a general concept deity you may call upon.
What do you put on it: Anything that you have a strong personal connection to. Spell jars or other products, decorative pieces that you're passionate about (looking at you, fellow artists and art lovers), pictures of your loved ones, your favorite rocks, crystals, plants, or (ethically sourced!) bones, jewelry with sentimental value, your favorite books or resources, your tarot or oracle decks, your pendulum, positive affirmations, things that remind you of your own power, your own passion, your own personal craft. Almost like your bedroom, but with a more divine feeling.
Here's an example of mine:
As you can see, I've got bones, a spell jar, a heart plush I used in a spell (can post that spell later if you're interested), pictures of my boyfriend, things he's given me, a sailor moon ouija board because that was and is my comfort show(ironically it's the best quality one I own, too), a ouija board I got as a display piece, a coffin shaped vase for when I pick my flowers, a seashell ring holder that I put a severed porcelain baby arm in to hold it open, and a display piece to express my love of horror movies. Does all this amount to a single deity? Does it all scream ~*witchcraft*~ ? Not at all, because it doesn't have to. It just has to be me. My own resources for my rituals are all over my home because I've been practicing for a long, long time, but for newbies and baby witches, you can put your resources on or near it if you please.
How to use it: Well, you practice your craft with it, just without calling upon any specific god or goddess. This is an altar for you, your energy, your power, and for your craft, not a place of worship for a specific diety. If your rituals or spells require more space, you don't have to practice directly on it. But it should be a place you look at (preferably every day) and think, "this is me, this is mine, this is a product of my own divinity." If it doesn't feel empowering, it's not right. Don't worry about being "aesthetic", worry about making it a place that you love and feel connected to.
Come to see the witch, have you? Â Need a little magic? Â Hereâs what it will cost you.
Pay me in coin. Grant me wealth by sharing your fortune. Â True, you wonât understand what wealth looks like to me, but your luck will certainly help me find it anyway.
Pay me in hearts. Bring me the heart of your pain, your hope, your rage. Â Hearts beat, my love. Â They sustain. Â Place a heart inside something, and you can make it live.
Pay me in keys. Give me a pass-ward into your spirit. Â Keys open doors, or shut them, and if you give yours to me, then I can use it to go places I desire to go.
Pay me in rose petals, in cloves, in cinnamon and marjoram and vanilla. And perhaps in something more mysterious. Â The gifts of this world are a delight, and when one understands the true value of such things, a gift from them is always a powerful blessing.
Pay me in stars. Lend me the light in your life. Â The stars guide you, and if you share them, they may guide me and protect me as well.
Pay me in shadows. Let me fold the sign of your passage into something which stays with me forever. Â Give me your cloth, your paper, your sigils and names and the marks of your presence, and I shall grant our friendship life of its own.
Seeking payment from a witch, for that which she weaves? Â Donât shy away from the jar of spiders, from the pouch of rose petals, from the strange little dagger or the box of matches. Â She knows what you need, and sheâs come prepared to pay.
Nothing is free. Everything is costly. The future costs the present, so we pay in gifts. Â Thus, we avoid debt, and live happily ever after.
I wanna be the village witch. Living in a cozy hut in the woods, talking to animals and forest spirits, brewing potions, helping the nearby villagers with their problems. They think I'm the oddest thing they've ever seen but their houses are always warm and their plates full so they are kind to me
