A friend drew Tōshō and Touya for my birthday, I love my crispy children
Getting super annoyed with the big Pro-Palestine/ Pro-Sudan accounts with massive platforms who are only sharing the oppression and massacres but not the fundraiser campaigns as well
some campaings for Sudan in urgent need of donations:
Help Aalaa and her family escape to safety ( very urgent)
Help Asjad and her family escape to safety
Help 15 families evacuate El Fashir, Darfur
some campaings for Gaza in urgent need of donations:
Help Muhammad Al-Naffar and his family in their struggle to survive
Help Mahmoud’s Family Evacuate for Urgent Medical Care
Help Reham Alswaisi get her family out of Gaza
Help Aseel and her family evacuate from Gaza
Help Almoghrabi family to evacuate Gaza strip
Even 5$ matters, if we all do our part we will get these people to safety!
a severely underrated aspect of hyuluka (and an underrated aspect of both of them individually as characters seriously y'all are sleeping on this) is that they're both physically disabled-- hyuna is an amputee and luka has,, some variety of circulatory-system-related issue that is visibly depriving oxygen from his fingers.
i just think that's neat. they both have things they have to take into consideration about their bodies that other people don't, and i think that that'd make it easier for them to understand one another's accessibility needs and feelings around their disabilities.
i also think it'd be cute if there were some overlap, like say (and this example is more in terms of some kinda slice-of-life style AU)... hyuna has a shower chair and luka's always convinced himself he doesn't need one, but then he realizes he gets less lightheaded and nauseous in the shower if he's sitting down, so he finds himself more and more comfortable using it if he's staying over.
enjoying both mirumisu and cithrun feels like the obvious option is right there in front of me except i feel like cithis and milsiril being in the same room is dangerously unpredictable
i will no longer bleed for you
lifes fleetin do whteve yu want & die 2be a buttrfly aftrwrds

Ok can we just all collectively agree that octonauts has some of the best representation in children’s media? I mean:
Shellington- Autistic, is shown stimming, dealing with sensory and social overstimulation, and is shown actively using comfort items and comfort strategies (to name a few) However he is never judged or treated differently despite his social difficulties and he is always shown in a positive light even when he’s exhibiting autistic behaviors (but they are not over glamourized either)
Peso- Anxiety Disorder, is shown struggling with anxious and intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, and is shown actively trying to work through his fears and anxieties. He is never told that he is being irrational, childish, or stupid for having anxiety driven fears, and he is treated as still being a brave and strong character.
Kwazii- Trans & ADHD, has been recognized by the creators when acknowledging typos. Is shown being unafraid to express himself and is always showcasing his personality. He has a never ending energy, he gets distracted often.. He is never treated like he is less of a person or like he is less important.
Barnacles- Autistic & Phobia/PTSD, is a role model and a leader whilst displaying very pattern based living, the need for a routine, and the need for sensory regulations and comfort (to name a few) along with being shown dealing with trauma responses from a traumatic childhood event that led to the development of his phobia. When everyone learns about the struggles he had facing, they treat him with more respect, not less.
Inkling- Is seen using a wheelchair/hoverchair, but not all the time. Ambulatory wheelchair users are very common, but very rarely seen in the media. He is treated with the most respect, and the crew is always willing to adapt equipment, spaces, and even missions for him.
We need this kind of representation in a positive environment such as a cartoon like this.one.
