Impulse: I'm getting a haircut tomorrow, I think? I think? Oh my gosh, how am I going to get a haircut tomorrow, I'm super busy. Anyway. Look at this. Look at the hair, look at the hair. (three seconds silence) It's fine, isn't it. No, it's a mess. My hair's a mess, doesn't know what it's doing--uh, no, this is my Phoenix Suns hat. Usually I like, wear it like this, but. Wear it backwards today. Oh, it's hard to put a hat on in a camera (laughs) Should I leave it off? Should I leave the hair off-or, the hair out? Every time I take off my hat, you guys are like, "just don't wear the hat. You don't need it." (laughs) Eh, my hair is so long though, it's-it's so long. Ah, "No Shave November"--well, I'm allowed to keep it trimmed though. I did that--so, this is--that's what happened last November, I started growing this, and I've had it ever since. Impulse: I--ooh, I've lasted a year with a beard. It's our year anniversary (laughs). Oh, anyway, um, I guess we should play some Phasmo, that's what you guys came to see, right? Should we play some Phasmo? Gonna cut it tomorrow so it looks good, yeah. Joker: (in the background) I'm ready! Skizz: Me too me too. Impulse: (to himself) that's not the right button. (to the others) Yeah, I'm ready too, I was just talking about my hair. Tango: Oh. Skizz: What's wrong with your hair? Impulse: It's long and I want to get a haircut. Tango: Ahhh. Skizz: Dude, just grow it out, dude. Impulse: (incredulous) What are you talking about? Skizz: Let it-let it be. Impulse: I have grown it out, you've seen it-- Skizz: More, I said more! Impulse: Do you remember how I used to do it? It used to be like, always no longer than an inch long. Every single hair follicle. Skizz: Yes. I hated it. So, I-- Impulse: (laughing) You hated it-- Skizz: 'member, I, 'member, dude, grow it out--remember my hair in high school-- Impulse: No! Skizz: --that's what you're going for. Yeah. Impulse: No, your hair--you have-you have thin hair, I don't. So I just have an afro and yours would actually fall and-and look good. Skizz: I--that's what--if you grew--oh, dude, you would have a sweet afro, dude. (Impulse laughs) A sweet afro. Just do it! Tango: Why can't I crouch? Impulse: (examining himself in the monitor, quietly, to himself) It doesn't--it doesn't look good.

I know that almost every single one of my posts are impulse related, but I just love this little guy

So you know the whole thing where angels only appear in their true form to prophets? So if you see an angel in their true form, you shouldn't be worried about it hurting you, but rather because it bears responsibility with its arrival?

What if Imp and Skizz.

Imagine this. You're a normal guy, living a normal life and hacking for fun. You aren't a believer, but you wouldn't call yourself an atheist either. You know there's a higher power out there somewhere, but it hasn't ever interacted with you, and you're honestly at peace with the fact.

Then you hear your door bell ring. You aren't expecting anybody, so you're confused as you make your way to the door. You open it, and you see golden wheels, tons of wings and eyes. Eyes everywhere. You hear the sound of a thousand voices layered upon one another in a cacophony that feels as though only you can hear it.

"BE NOT AFRA-"

nope. You shut the door on it and turn away.

"No thanks."

There's a beat of silence, as, in utter confusion it speaks through the door.

"I COME BEARING YOUR FA-"

"Nope."

Impact font for Impulse ⚠️☢️

i know ive been mostly posting double life designs and headcanons for my AU but this is just a default impy. Well, obviously with my delusional twist on him but this is him without any bdubs traits.

Just felt like drawing good ol Impulse.

basically i knew i wanted impulse to be netherborn and also wanted him to be an "imp" whatever that means. So while researching imps i found a few forgotten realms designs for their version of imps which is a lil guy with horns, your typical demon kind of wings and....a scorpion tail. so that's where that part came from.

if anyone is curious about the designs process, here are some brainworms of mine;

Then i thought "okay how i make this minecraft nether related?" scorpions have venom right? but poison isnt very nether coded so i thought of other effects. fire is tango's thing in my brain, thats off the table. then naturally my brain goes to wither effect. and what has wither in the nether? wither skeletons. thats where his black markings and exposed spine came from. (also if you remember my double life au bdubs design, this is why he got wither roses in his new design)

then an extra pair of wings to make him more buggy and thats about it.

little things like his tripp shorts and piercings were just me hitting him with the projection beam and making him punk-ier. i literally just used my own shorts as reference.

im not gonna go into the delusional nether lore i made up for him...at least not for now.

oh but the fact he has blue in his design is cause i somehow decided hes native to the soulsand valley biomes. cause uhhh skeletons?
