BREAKING MY SILENCE

It's a funny title, but it's the most proper (for me) to speak about what's surrounding HYBE (also, I'm only speaking from the groups I stan, ENHYPEN, BTS, and Tomorrow By Together, but this goes for all the artists of this company from the 3rd generation to the 5th generation).

As a BTS fan since 2015, when it was just BigHit Entertainment, I was genuinely proud of how the company rose from a small label to a powerhouse, all thanks to BTS and their journey. And let me tell you—it was wild! But over time, my pride turned into disappointment, and I stopped supporting HYBE altogether (only the groups). This latest controversy confirms the doubts I’ve had for years.

HYBE’s recent actions feel like a slap in the face to all of us who supported them. The leaked internal documents, part of their so-called “Weekly Music Industry Report,” didn’t just show competitive market insights—they were filled with disrespectful comments toward young idols across the industry, even toward their own groups like ENHYPEN and others under Belift Lab and HYBE's umbrella.

Speaking of Belift, we just don't like that company AT ALL, and I just want to list a few things that I remember they've done as an Eggie:

Overworking and Health Concerns: Sunghoon fainting at the JFK airport, Heeseung tiredness at the concert where he was criticized for "not giving his 100% and him apologizing when he came back to SK, Jay's knee issues that they hide for months, Jake's grandma sadly passing away and having him working on fan meetings, lives, and more, not letting him go to Australia for a while or grieve

Lack of Promotion and Publicity Missteps: We know this; no need to explain.

Plagiarism Controversy and Image Management: Belift Lab dragged ENHYPEN into the narrative when it occurred ILLIT and NewJeans, suggesting that another group was copying ENHYPEN’s uniform concept (this is actually too stupid).

Fan Engagement and Communication: Inconsistent updates and a perceived lack of appreciation for the fan base

Member-Specific Issues: Jay being Belift punching bag, Sunoo not having a brand deal, them not even taking action in rumors regarding the members, not caring about the d word threats the member will receive for their birthdays, and more that I truly forced myself to erase from my mind because it even hurt me.

Now, TXT, we, the fans, were voicing concerns about the group's management, promotional strategies, and overall treatment. Do we see how it's literally the same?

To see a company stoop to this level, making harsh, belittling remarks about artists’ appearances and choices (which, btw, the majority of them are fucking minors), feels wrong on every level. I mean, what happened to the values HYBE once claimed to hold? This is beyond disappointing—it’s a betrayal to the fans, the artists, and everything they were supposed to stand for.

HYBE’s first response? Trying to brush it off as a “compilation of public opinions,” as if that somehow made it okay, like, Bitch, we know you're money hungry; don't care about the idols that are literally your main source of income. Please give it a rest.

It felt like they weren’t even acknowledging the impact these words would have. They finally apologized, but it’s too little, too late—WAY TOO LATE. The damage is done, and no PR statement can make up for the harm caused to young artists who pour their hearts into their work. This whole situation has hit a nerve for so many of us who once stood by this company. It’s disheartening and, frankly, infuriating to see how far they’ve fallen.

For now, I’m speaking up because this isn’t the company I once admired, and I'm getting so concerned for the new groups that we know. HYBE needs to reflect deeply on what they truly stand for, and as fans, we need to hold them accountable. They owe it to the artists, and they owe it to us. PLEDIS, BELIFT, SOURCE MUSIC, ADOR and BIGHIT

To: BTS, ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, FROMIS9, SEVENTEEN, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, and NEWJEANS

You deserve to be celebrated for who you are, not just for what you achieve.

You deserve an agency that cares, not one that leaves you alone when the world finds a way to push you down.

You deserve to have your voices heard, your talents recognized, and your mental well-being prioritized.

In a world that often measures worth in numbers and accolades, remember that your value transcends metrics.

You are artists, creators, and innovators, and your stories deserve to be told with compassion and respect.

You deserve the space to grow, to learn, and to be authentic without fear or pressure.

They are not just pretty faces that sell stadiums; they are young souls whose dreams burn brightly yet are gradually being smothered by the weight of expectations and industry pressures. Each smile hides a story of late nights, relentless practice, and the yearning to be understood beyond the glitter and glamour. Once vibrant with passion and energy, they now navigate a world that too often reduces their worth to mere marketability, risking the essence of who they are. These were once children who dared to dream, pouring their hearts into every note and every performance, yet find themselves wrestling with the reality that their passion is slowly being crushed beneath the relentless grind of fame.

They deserve to be cherished not just for their appearances but for the depth of their artistry and the richness of their humanity. They gave up a lot of things to be who they are, and that's how the agency repays them?

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found.
