Turns out, there’s an ENTIRE website making money off of stolen art. It’s called CopyCover, and even the fucking name implies that it steals art for phone covers (which it does exactly that).

SPREAD THIS MESSAGE LIKE THE PLAGUE

Here’s some screenshots of phone cases that could include stolen art!(YOUTUBE-RELATED. There may be other fandoms involved in this too!!) I found my art in this!!! If you recognize an artist, PLEASE inform them! 

(Take note that there IS a slight possibility that some of these are not stolen, and are the actual artists selling their stuff, but this website stole MY art, so I’m assuming it’s stealing everyone’s. I follow a lot of these artists shown here, and none of them have EVER promoted this website)

NO. IT’S NOT OKAY. THIS WEBSITE IS MAKING MONEY OFF OF OTHERS’ ART WITHOUT PERMISSION. THAT IS STEALING. IT DOESNT MATTER IF CREDIT IS GIVEN. PERMISSION FROM THE ARTIST NEEDS TO BE GRANTED. (That’s like if you stole money from a bank, and “credited’ them by saying which bank you stole from).

if you donate one single us dollar to the unrwa, you will have donated more money than you would have by clicking that stupid arab.orb link every day for four and a half years. yes, they do actually donate money to the unrwa, but even with tens of thousands of clicks, most of that money is the baseline $90 they send every quarter. from 2023 quarter 4, half a million clicks turned into $380.57. maths out to six hundreths of one cent per click. just donate to unrwa.

The blogs here - or the ones that I follow/see anyway - usually have a lot of art on them, or make GIFs or write stories and whatnot. They're basically active with stuff, though they're usually popular bc they're part of a fandom or smtg.

Uh. I guess I wouldn't mind writing? Though I usually put them on FFN (and was planning on AO3 if I ever continued fanfiction). I haven't written fanfiction in a super long time, tho...

I wouldn't want to do fandom stuff for the sake of garnering attention though. It's nothing like that - I just don't have anything to post here, I guess. Except my thoughts apparently, hOh. Guess that's good enough for now.

when I drew this comic 3 years ago I had NO idea how far it would reach. I'm happy to finally share a corrected version with proper abbreviations, and even MORE state names of indigenous origin ♥️

however, the goal of this comic was to inspire people to do your OWN research on indigenous history. To question everything we have been taught, and everything that has been pointedly left out. This erasure, this “forgetting”, of history is not just of the past… it is happening now. - Across so-called Canada, the US, and US-occupied islands, native women are victims of murder at 10-12x the rate of non-native people, and are the most likely to go missing without being searched for by the law. - Native reservations have the highest rates of poverty in the US, with over HALF of tribal homes with no access to clean water (with more joining this list by the year) - Native people are 6-10x more likely to be unhoused than the rest of the population, and native teens suffer suicide rates higher than any other demographic. This list of modern day genocide goes on (thank you for compiling @theindigenousanarchist <3) and yet take a look at those environmental stats!

Native people manage to do SO much for the planet as a whole - thanklessly - and with all this stacked against them. Don't even get me started on kin fighting in south america. Could you imagine if there was help? #landback is resistance to genocide, and it is the key to saving our warming earth.

So look into it and the other hashtags, cuz a cartoon goose ain't a substitute for a proper education. Love to my grandparents who always kept a map of tribal territories of turtle island on their wall, to speaking on our Tsalagi & Saponi heritage. Love & solidarity forever, happy research, and happy #indigenouspeoplesday
