A poem I wrote during class when I was supposed to be taking a test-

My Own

Wearing my mother's hoodie,

'Cause I ain't got my own,

I left the house without thinkin',

And the cold seeped through my bones.

Wearing my mother's shoes,

'Cause she gave them as my own,

Mine keep tearin' and breakin',

And she was the only one I could phone.

Wearing my brother's shirts,

'Cause I ain't like my own,

They feel too wrong on me,

And my chest feels too shown.

Wearing my idol's voice,

'Cause I hate my own,

I'm told I'm too loud and sound dumb,

And all I do is groan.

Wearing my lover's heart,

'Cause I forgot my own,

I forgot myself and we're over now,

And I can't say I'm surprised on my lone.

Wearing my father's attitude,

'Cause it was to protect my own,

I hate it I hate it I hate it,

And now anger I'm much too prone.

Living life through another,

Wish I had my own,

'Cause they didn't raise me properly,

Gods, I need a home.

I might start doing poetry for no reason other than I can [I'm blaming apollo]

I'll just be chilling and laughing about something then suddenly my voice is the grossest thing I've ever heard, my chest is too big, my words are too mixed. The walls are too tight and air isn't right and I'm doing... nothing to stop it. I sit and I stare and I am for once silent. The people around me do not question, as silence from such a noisy creature is rare and peaceful. Yet does the silence kill the lamb, blood trickles down your arm as a stream trickles water, and nothing makes sense in the end. You read this for what? You breathe for what? You continue this scrappy life of passing through the world, there but not. Aware but not. Conscious but not. Hopeful but not. You are you. I am me. Or must I be? Are we to be? Are you me? Am I you? Who is to say? Who is to blame? What is to blame? You spiral farther and farther and deeper and lower and the endless seam cracks and breaks and you're confused but you don't dare call out, not to the void. Not to such a precious thing. Cherished pain and fragmented memories and pointless words that scream nothing with wishes to speak of something, anything, so much more than this mess.

Because art is an expression, and nothing is real. If everything is made up, how are we to feel?

They say to count your days and keep your blessings close

Or was it the other way, where nothing is to cope?

Because you read this and wonder if there's even a point, a message

So, I'll be straight here- I think I want to end this

Can you blame me??

Yapping while I wait in line at school~

Zeraura tries to take good care of her hair, but she cut it herself, so it's real spiky and uneven in the back.

Cinnamon's hair canonically reaches her feet. Her hair is reallyyyyy long, and she won't cut it as it goes against her religion and honour [I should probably make a post about her religion as well but hopefully I'll remember later]

Cinnamon can, will, and has eaten bugs and small critters of the sort due to her adoptive parents not knowing what to feed a human child, so they kinda just tested everything. She doesn't learn for a long time until she gets away from the village that humans are not recommended to eat wild animals.

Zeraura's shorter than most, but you can't really tell until you compare it. Cinnamon is also a bit taller than average.
