Indie Fandomless Android OC

Do not be fooled by VATU’s seemingly frivolous looks; she’s a state of the art combat android fully equipped with a range of weapons and programmed with a myriad of battle tactics.

If pressed, she will not hesitate to remind potential threats that she is a goddamned weapon of war.

VATU has no sensors to indicate any physical pain. She has the sensation of touch, yes, but nothing that registers any kind of pain.

She has an awareness when she gets damaged, but lacks a pain response.

VATU inspected the map of the city, standing atop a tall building overlooking the area. Her enhanced sight allowed her to see the smallest gravel from a great distance. She took a moment to review her orders.

Mission: live capture of Subject 457

Subject 457…also known as Irina Klein. Also known as “Nova Zero”. VATU was to capture her and bring her back to the nearest VentureTech facility, preferably in one piece.

The android could feel a sort of kinship with this woman, despite never having met her. VentureTech saw them both as tools, to be used and discarded when their purpose was fulfilled.

Not that her feelings mattered, she supposed.

Tipping forward, VATU entered a freefall, boosters activating to allow her to fly. It wouldn’t be easy to find her quarry.

VATU regarded the other quietly. “Strange, is it not? How humanity’s works of fiction often hold so much truth…but that is neither here nor there.”

Fully turning to face Evren, she tilted her head. “What would the price be for information from you? There’s an individual I’m looking for.”

“Freedom has a cost. Peace has a cost. Nothing can be gained without first sacrificing something in turn.”

A lesson she had learned over the years she was being developed, from watching the human scientists as they worked on her.
