There are so many little things in your day-to-day life that you didn’t even know impacted your mood, but they are so crucial to understanding how and why you feel the way you feel.
Humans are like plants, we are what we absorb. You wouldn’t be surprised that a plant dies in an environment with no sun & no water, so why would you be surprised that you can’t thrive in an unmotivating environment?
𝜗𝜚 The weather - This one is obvious. We humans really are like plants, in that we need sun to thrive. Have you ever noticed how much more pleasant people are during those first few sunny days of the year? It’s biological, we love the sun. So when it’s sunny outside, even if you think it’s too hot, go out and enjoy the sunshine! If you stay inside all summer, don't complain about being tired and unenergized.
𝜗𝜚 The music you listen to - I know you love to listen to sad break up songs and daydream, but it’s not good for your mind. If you don’t believe me, do a little experiment: one day, wake up to the saddest song you like to listen to, and the next, wake up to the happiest, danciest song you like. See how much of a difference it makes in your mood.
𝜗𝜚 The people around you - If all of your friends constantly complain about their lives (justifiably or not), then you’re going to constantly complain too. If all of your friends always focus on the positive, laugh and smile through hard times, you’re going to adopt that mindset too. The thing is not to ditch your friends if they’re negative (to themselves, if they’re mean that’s another thing), but to be the one to influence them towards a better attitude through being mindful of what you feel and say.
𝜗𝜚 Your living space - Don't even bother wondering why you are always distracted or unmotivated to do homework if your room is messy. Don't bother to ask yourself why you can't find discipline if your house is dirty and unkept. The space you live in is a direct reflection of your mind, you'll see how much more clear-headed and motivated you will feel once it's clean and organized.
𝜗𝜚 Your digital space - Having an organized & simplistic phone/laptop is key to make you see things clearer when being on them, and avoiding useless screen time (which is notoriously bad for us). That means deleting apps you don't use or don't serve you a positive purpose (games, negative social media platforms, etc).
Please tell me in the comments if you feel I have left an important point out, I will be happy to edit this post to include more valuable advice!

How do I feel when I spend time with this person? What emotions or sensations come up for me when I’m around them?
After being with this person, do I feel more like myself—or less? What does my energy or mood say about the effect they have on me?
Do I feel heard and valued in our conversations, or do I often feel dismissed, interrupted, or overlooked?
When I’m with this person, do I feel genuinely understood—or do I feel the need to explain, justify, or hide parts of myself?
Do they do most of the talking in our conversations? How do I feel about it?
What role does this person play in my life, and what role do I play in theirs? Do these roles feel balanced? If not, how does that imbalance affect me?
In what ways do our goals and motivations align or differ, and how does that impact our connection?
Do I notice them putting me down—subtly or directly—to elevate themselves? Do they often try to position themselves as morally superior in our conversations? If yes, how do I respond to it when it happens?
Do I see myself sticking with them in the future? Or do I feel that I would be better without them in my life and why?
When I imagine my future, does this person fit into that vision in a healthy, supportive way? Or do I feel I would grow more freely without their presence—and what makes me feel that?
Am I holding on to this relationship out of love, habit, fear, or hope? What would it mean for me—emotionally and practically—if I chose to move forward without them?
Managing relationships with people can be difficult when they aren't a right fit for you, and taking the decision to cut them out of your life or not is a hard thing to do. Hopefully these prompts can help you see things clearer when it comes to that <3

𝑰𝒏'𝒔:
Appreciating nature - it's the perfect time of the year for that! Go outside and take a long walk in a park, forest, field, whatever's closest to you, and take deep breaths, look around yourself and relish in the beauty of your surroundings.
Reading - cultivating your mind is one of the biggest favours you could do yourself in life. In our modern world, knowledge (and knowing how to learn) is the key to success!
Doing things alone - you don't need to be with someone to go out and eat at a restaurant or go shopping. No one is free that afternoon? Go anyways, be your own date.
𝑶𝒖𝒕'𝒔:
Sleeping in - unless you went to bed really late for a good reason, there is no excuse to be sleeping in later than 9am. Get out of bed and do something, move your body, otherwise you're gonna be even more tired.
Using food as therapy - eating something, even in small portions, every time you feel bad (mentally) is the quickest way to develop an eating disorder.
Sitting around in your room - while you do anything, whether that's being on your phone, reading, studying, anything that can be done standing up should be done standing up or even walking. Your knees will thank you later + you'll likely get tired more easily and have less trouble falling asleep.

10 things to do when you’re having a hard day or when motivation is down </3
Take a long shower/bath to cleanse yourself of your negative thoughts/feelings
Make your bed to get your motivation started
Do a quick workout to get your body moving
Write in your journal about how you feel and why, it might release some emotions and make you feel better
Drink water and put intention in it - decide that the water is going to cleanse your energy and it will!
Talk to a friend or a family member and if that isn’t available to you right now talk to an online friend or even a pet
Read a book (if you like reading, otherwise it might not be as calming)

⋆. 𐙚 ˚ Good luck to every one whose mock exams are coming! ₊˚⊹ ᰔ
Reminder: studying is very important, but you have to study with techniques that work for you. don't burn yourself out by spending hours on end studying mindlessly, it won't bring you good results. find techniques that you feel make it easier and make you remember things best. Tam Kaur (on yt) has a great video on studying methods if you struggle with it! Good luck !! <3
