Headcanon

One important thing about my version of Simcoe is that he’s actually good friends with Andre. He’s friends with Andre, Tarleton, and de Lancey (the first two are true to history, the last one is inferred because de Lancey and Andre were friends). He enjoys spending time with them and doing the usual activities that soldiers do together; drink, gamble, play games, and make a mess of where ever they are (though Andre is the one that tends to clean up after them).

It’s also important to know that while Simcoe can be very vicious, this version is not vicious without cause. If he’s suspicious of someone, for whatever reason, he can easily be as ruthless as his Turn counterpart.

Simcoe also happens to have a soft spot for children and he ends up having nine children with his wife, Elizabeth Posthuma Simcoe. In his years during the Revolution, he wasn’t exactly a good with kids but he wasn’t a bad influence. He was just a bit awkward.

Peter Capaldi deserved the fanfare that Matt and David got. He deserved to be the Doctor who had tons of action figures, had Doctor Who Confidential, an era that had a bunch of spin offs that didn’t bomb, plenty of tie in novels that helped many children learn to love reading and big Proms celebrations with him showing up in character. Whenever I see him show up to brighten up childrens days, I wish this dear and wonderful man who is a blessing to this terrible world got all the love David and Matt got. I feel like we failed him. He gave his heart and his soul into the role. Peter Capaldi deserved better..

Minor issues like “linear time” and “causality” weren’t even worth discussing, not in the normal run of things, so why bother retro-creating an entire species simply to justify your own existence?

THIS. yay, I’m not the only one to notice this moment. Ah well it can mean nothing of course, but provokes sooo many thoughts...

The Doctor’s parenthood

So I was rewatching new Doctor Who series 9 episode 12 “Hell Bent”, and I realized something, and I couldn’t find any mention of this on the internet (though I didn’t look very hard). 

So basically, when Clara and Doctor are in the Cloister Room trying to find a way out, they go through a conversation about rumor of a young Gallifreyan, who once went into the Cloister Room, and the Sliders (Cloister people) told him a way out. Well, in the conversation Clara asks the Doctor 

“ What, and the kid told you the secret? ” To which the Doctor replies 

“ Ah, no, he didn’t tell anyone anything. He went completely mad. Never right in the head again, so they say. The last  I heard, he stole the moon and the President’s wife. “

Clara immediately realized he was talking about himself and asks if the President’s wife was nice. To that the Doctor replied 

“ Ah, well, that was a lie put about by the Shabogans. It was the President’s daughter. I didn’t steal the moon, I lost it.”         The key element here is “it was the President’s daughter”. 

I am very certain he is talking about Susan! His granddaughter! I’m certain because he is talking in a sense that refers to his early days, which is evident of his expression “The last i heard”, which was to express something that happened a long time ago. 

This means, that if I’m correct, Susan, who is the granddaughter of the Doctor, is also a daughter of one of Gallifrey’s presidents’. That would mean, that Doctor is the father to that certain president.

I want to know if I’m the only one who didn’t hate the episode. I loved it actually.

DAYS LEFT IMMEDIATE LIFE OR DEATH HELP NEEDED ONE LAST TIME

Tumblr friends. You all saved my life. Unfortunately I need help one last time to keep it that way.

You helped me pay down a hospital bill so I could have major brain surgery in October. Well, the bill for that is $9,600- Medicaid covered the hospital, NOT the doctor(!!). due to financial hardship, it’s reduced to $4,500. (more than half my annual income, on Disability).

The problem: the doctor HAS TO adjust and monitor my new neuro implant every other week, and I WILL DIE WITHOUT THE ADJUSTMENTS. But he is NOT ALLOWED to see me more than once more unless this is paid.

The reduction has conditions: I must pay $1,000 by Dec 16, and the $3,500 balance by Dec 23.

This is a terrible blow to me, unreal. The frustration and fear is simply overwhelming.

So, sadly, I must ask for help one least time (I’ll get on Free Care in April). You’ve all already been so generous. The SPNFamily, fandoms, and Tumblr at large has been amazing. And if there were any way to avoid asking, I would.

As it is I’m also homeless and sometimes staying with my violent abusive parents, other times staying with friends. Every cent I get is going to other medical expenses and necessities.
