Yes thank you! Also the comments on this post from some commentators are disgusting. They somehow think it’s okay to wish violence on someone because they perceive John to be violent and don’t see why this makes them a massive hypocrite
i really really wish i could just write this everywhere.
Yes let’s perpetuate the myth that one of the greatest songwriters of all time didn’t know how to work hard. I know it’s supposed to be cute but John produced his own albums in the 70s. He contributed the majority of songs on the Beatles early albums. John wasn’t a workaholic like Paul but he was a hard worker. He learned those chords because he was determined to learn the guitar properly. Music was his passion too you know
John learning to play upside down for Paul... Something about that always gets me, John is the guy who allegedly didn't like work and wouldn't stick to anything. But he learned to play upside down because he would need to borrow Paul's guitar or to learn how to play something... he put that extra effort in just because Paul is left handed...
It's a small gesture but it means so much
It was love 💕
I love your stories and the Rise and Fall of John Lennon is one of my fav stories in the fandom. It was such a great mix of humiliation, angst, fluff and intimacy. I really hope you continue with your stories. I’ve never re read a story more than that one lol
i might elaborate later but fanfic replies literally develop writer’s metacognition and make them better writers

As written in the video section :"Paul listens to the song "Beautiful Boy" and tries to hold back the tears. Notice the tribute in the song to Paul ("every day, in every way, is getting better and better"). It's from The Beatles' song "Getting Better" - John's contribution to that song at the time was cynical and witty (his lyric was "it can't get no worse") but here he was sending a little message to Paul that Paul was right, life does just get keep getting better and better."
Seeing Paul holding back his tears makes me want to cry ugly.
My beautiful Johnny. This is why he was so beloved
Find someone who can make you laugh like this
I’m Sylvia wanting a lock of John’s hair. Also I’m Donna because I would totally buy Beatles records even without a record player just to have everything they ever produced. Yes I’m sad

Dear friend! We already know his thoughts on Coming up from a few interviews and the same for Too Many People. I don’t entirely buy that Call Me Back Again is a McLennon song. But Dear Friend is 100 percent about John and given it came during a period of infighting, I want to know what John truly felt hearing that for the first time. Can I get Paul reacting to I Know, I Know as a bonus? And both of them reacting to I Don’t Know (Johnny, Johnny)?
If you could be a fly on the wall when John listens to a song for the first time, which one of the following songs would you choose and why?
Too Many People
Dear Friend
Call Me Back Again
Coming Up
If you could choose another song, that isn’t listed above, which one would you choose and why?
Say it louder for the people in the back!
anti john lennon propaganda is so lame how is paul supposed to appeal to anyone can't a crazy air sign just have his greatest beatle status like he literally already paid for his crimes who cares. he wrote help so get over it
Behold my purchases from the Eyes of the Storm exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery on Saturday. I had a discussion with the women on the till in the gift shop about how hot John looked in his sunglasses 😎
