Diamond castle au- “…whenever a new song is sung, a diamond appears on the wall”

i find it so cool that the diamond castle canonically was built with diamonds created by every song ever written, kinda implying that it simply grew from, like, a normal temple to a full on castle over the centuries since it first emerged and that’s so cool to me

but, more relevantly, the magic diamonds that Amy and Blaze find and make into necklaces were made from Sonic and Shadow’s song “Believe”, and they were knocked down from the castle after Sonic left after a big fight and slammed the doors of the castle closed so hard that they fell into the nearby river and were washed away

Blaze’s necklace was made of the lines sonic sung and Amy’s held the lines that Shadow sung

Through those necklaces they get glimpses into the past through their dreams. Seeing bits and pieces of the two muses story from the moment they locked eyes from biased perspective of whose gem they’re wearing

witnessing how, slowly over time, they went rivals/lovers/whatever they were to the bitter enemies time remembers them as

“In my youth,” reminisced the old man, scratching his beard thoughtfully, “I was quite the quirked up white boy. No one in the village could best me at busting it down sexual style.”

“And were you goated, sir?” the young boy queried.

“My dear boy, I most certainly was!” The old man chuckled, a merry twinkle in his eye. “With the sauce, I daresay.”

i was at the dentist on tuesday and then this afternoon i'm getting cryotherapy and on saturday they're shooting me with lasers so all and all im having a pretty busy week
