What generation of Pokémon is this?
you have inherent value simply because you exist. your worth to the world around you is not dictated by how well you fulfill social norms.
you do not need to be "productive" to be appreciated. you don't need to change how you look to be loved. you don't need to censor yourself for your story to be heard.
there are more people on this planet than you could possibly know that would love to be in your company, exactly as you are now - people who would want to be your friend, hear your truth, see you smile, or explore life with you.
it's okay. you're okay. you may not feel okay, your life may feel like it's in shambles, the world may feel beyond fucked up... but you, as a living, breathing human being - you are enough.
anyone who tries to tell you different is just repeating and believing a lie - probably a lie they were told about themselves, too. it's not a reflection of you. ok?
I'm planning to do a BIG series of Kwami swaps (80 additional designs, plz wish me luck 🙏) but first I needed some basics of my design principles for each character and Kwami, so here are all the designs I'm working with::
To make the 80 designs more manageable, my plan is to work by the Miraculous first, for example I'll do all of the bee & all of the snake designs rather than all of Chloe & all of Luka's designs, that way I'm working in slightly smaller batches of designs & I can keep them unique enough from one another
And if anyone is curious, here's my chart for organizing the swaps and also the hero names:
(and I'm allowing comments on the document if you have any thoughts or alternate names (bc I'm not sold on ALL of them) so plz feel free to do so)
P.S. I don't intend on doing anything with this in terms of a story or lore, or even full illustrations, it's just something I've wanted to do for a long time
I love a character raised to be a weapon as much as the next guy. But what really gets me is a character raised to be a shield. Who can’t fathom being needed—or even being wanted— beyond keeping others safe. Who believe they are alive only to insure someone doesn’t die. no matter the cost. Characters who self-sacrifice not because they think they deserve it, but because no one else does deserve it, and it’s their job to protect.
Characters who’ve been told that’s why your important. Your worth something because this other person/ thing is important, and you are here solely to keep them safe.
Bonus points if it’s not a legitimate job they’ve been given. Maybe at one point it was, but now that they are free from it, they haven’t given up that mentality. No one is forcing or asking them to do this, but they need to. They need to in order to be deserving.

reblog this and tag the first vine that comes to ur mind. mine is the one of the people yelling at cabbage
*whispers* please stop taking strong, competent women in fiction and then making them completely void of character flaws so they can fit into a #girlboss category. the flaws are also part of the strength and capability. they make her human. to take those away is to make her inhuman and by proxy less capable.
That's why it felt unique, like maybe she was learning and growing with her powers. Others have pointed out how she fixed Alix's pocket watch but no one seems to fully agree on WHY.
This time, Marinette full on accepted that she was the villain. I HOPE this becomes growth on her part and that it's not just convenient writing for plot reasons that will be lost in the future.
I hope the writers have learned but... we'll see, I guess.
So the end of the episode shows Marinette realizing as Ladybug that SHE was the real "villain" this time and returned to the racetrack to fix things.
And somehow she... fixed Sublime's prosthetics? Even though all previous "rules" for the ladybugs were that they could only fix AKUMATIZED villain's damage (EDIT: rather, damage done DURING the akumatization, and her prosthetics were damaged BEFORE). This was always a really big point and was emphasized at various parts.
So is this just a weird plot point they decided to throw out to make things work out better, or is this a growth in Marinette's powers? Thoughts?
imo sharing your art for free online for strangers to see it requires a lot of courage. A lot of mental strength. Im being serious rn i think if youve ever shared anything online and even if its not popular even if only a few people have seen it i think thats very very brave
