will never get over the fact that lewis & nico know damn well how competitive and cutthroat the sport is, and how rancid an eventual rivalry between teammates can be. and still they said "we've been teammates before, we can do it again. im sure that won't happen to us."

they had so much trust for the love they had for each other, those two put their faith on it and bet on game that has one proven outcome. they thought they had the kind of love that can rewrite a decades old narrative.

it was a gamble. a bet. a match with a prewritten result. a doomed story from the start.

they bet on losing dogs.

fanfic writers are so fucking awesome man. they write novel length fics that are sometimes even better than some published bestselling books written by professional writers. like fanfic writers are professional writers to me and they gift us their masterpieces for free. they give us something we can look forward to after a long day. something from which we can seek comfort when life is hard. something that can be our own little getaway. in a world of capitalism, despite everything, they give us all of these for free. like holy fuck. shout out to every fanfic writer.
