Don't know how to explain it but Simi is the opposite of Brocedes. Met later in life vs childhood friends. Strangers to best friends vs best friends to strangers. My favourite teammate vs the teammate I don't speak about. Being teammate brought us closer vs being teammate destroyed us. Seb and Kimi always saying to the press the other was their only friend on the grid vs Lewis "We are not friends". Seb being the one person Kimi extensively talked to vs Nico speaking in any language bar English to avoid speaking with Lewis. Kimi staying at Ferrari for Seb vs Nico leaving Mercedes without a warning to Lewis. Seb and Kimi always talking about eachothers vs Lewis being silent about Nico (Nico is talking to a wall). Seb saying that it's "impossible" to fight with Kimi because everytime there was an issue they openly discussed it vs Lewis and Nico fighting tooth and nail. Seb and Kimi openly despising and never using "mind games" with their teammate vs the psychological war that Nico and Lewis carried on (and Nico saying he doesn't regret playing mind games). Seb and Kimi defending eachothers against journalists vs Nico and Lewis using press to wage war. Seb and Kimi both taking their distance from F1 vs Nico and Lewis still clinging to the sport in any way they can. Ferrari red vs Mercedes silver, the first being the last heartbeats of one of the most beautiful friendship on the F1 grid, the second the first signs of the beginning of a heartbreaking war. "It's like I've known you my entire life" vs "I used to know you, but I don't anymore".

Also Charles being the son of Simi's divorce (went to Ferrari when Kimi was dropped) and Max being the son of Brocedes's divorce (he was there in 2016, front row seat).

who up thinking about how lewis and nico are two sides of the same coin in the sense that they both embody talent in two very different ways.

lewis has a natural talent that shines so bright it burns. he’s a shooting star—raw talent that blazes and leaves nothing in its wake.

nico, on the other hand, has talent borne from his analytical mind. he’s taught himself the exact way he has to move, the exact temperature in which he has to burn in order to shine just as bright. because he has learned that in order to be a star, you must burn.

So, even though you have broken my heart yet again. I wanted to say…

sometimes it feels like lewis has a degree of distance from the rest of the grid that makes it hard to connect to him (i, a newer fan, took a while to even get a proper sense of his vibes). he’s such a legend and icon in the sport there’s always a little bit of separation i think — maybe subconsciously for some of the older drivers, but i think it’s more prevalent in the younger drivers because so many of them actually idolized him for years and are suddenly racing with him. max may be getting there but he also grew up with most of the grid, and he has his funky little hobbies (twitch streaming sim races) that give fans a glimpse of him casually. i’m not sure why lewis doesn’t participate in grill the grid/f1 videos but when you think about it that’s how a lot of people get some more casual impressions of the drivers they don’t follow as closely (or at all), and then he’s not there. there’s just this air of legendary about him so when you see him standing alone it seems intentional, in a way. he is always standing on his own as a leader in many (metaphorical) ways so i can understand why the drivers might see him minding his business during the parade and think he wants the space.

anyway all this to say there is a special kind of happiness in seeing charles decide to break through the wall of godliness to keep lewis company and bring him back to their level. lewis seems so much more engaged and lively and mortal when he’s happy chatting with the other drivers and being a bit mischievous and it’s like oh, i’m finally seeing the lewis hamilton he was before the myth and fame and weight of leadership. i think he’s really going to seem like a whole new person next season with charles and ferrari for those of us who didn’t know that lewis and i really really like the idea of getting to meet him ❤️

Was listening to "Lacy" by Olivia Rodrigo when I realised that that song could basically be Nico Rosberg's thoughts when facing Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton... What I'm saying is that Nico's "Lacy" is Sebastian and Lewis lolz.

Like yea Lewis is pretty simple to see since you have the childhood friend who is better than you in every way and somehow ends up like REALLY successful in everything he does.. And ends up overshadowing him in almost every single aspect of his life even though they started at the same place (or maybe they didn't since talent can cause a pretty big divergence between people and an illusion).

And then you can say that Sebastian is his "Lacy" as well because of how much of a prodigy he is and all that and how his rivalry with Lewis is more remembered than Nico's with the both of them.. And also the fact that they're both Germans and have probably grown up together in the feeder series and yet at the end of the day Sebastian is the one who triumphs his achievements.

There's probably analyses somewhere on here anyways but I just wanted to put this out.
