Retrieving a scroll from a pouch connected to his armor, he unfurled the scroll to reveal a map of the STARS. Coal eyes turned skyward, eyeing the silver orbs that danced across a sea of ink. All the scrolls he had read had to have some merit to them, right? He was going to be the one to find the lost CITY OF NIGHT, he was going to save his tribe. The night dragon was distracted, blind to the arrival of another nearby.

As much as she wanted to be more like him, she wasn't. She was brave, loyal, and okay maybe a little bit bossy and stubborn but that was okay. What was more important was the situation at hand. She had came to help deal with this mysterious attacker and though she was surprised by the other person being here, she welcomed his aid. With a huff, she glanced over at the stranger with furrowed brows. 〝 Okay... 〞 She didn't fully understand but she didn't need to. 〝 how do we STOP them? 〞

We're born at night So much of our lives Is just carving through the dark
noble of the nightwings, son of nocturnal and nightshade, younger brother to parallax, captain of the royal guard. he is an adult dragon by a few years prior to the start of arc 01, making him just slightly younger than morrowseer. his mother, nightshade, was one of the few nightwings working in intel, granting her access to the mainland. as a result of her being sent off to a long-term intel mission in the sea kingdom, noble hatched being blessed with one full moon, giving him the ability to read minds. an ability long lost to his tribe. for the first few years, noble grew up on a remote island off of the bay of thousand scales until he was older enough to make the venture back to the nightwing island with nightshade. during this time, he learned the history and traditions of his tribe as well as the ways of the other tribes - how to fight against them, their patrol routes, where they stood in the war, etc.
once he returned home, his real training begun. noble is very much a product of his time with the nightwings, though he doesn't really share the nightwing superiority ideal. however, in hopes of winning the affection of his father, nocturnal, and other nightwings around him, he would do anything for his tribe. noble excelled in his combat training, hoping to be a guardsmen like his father someday.
it wasn't long before the nightwings to learn of his mind reading abilities, quickly resulting in noble gaining favouritism. he became a test subject as the nightwing scientists tried to figure out how to recreate it - to bring power back to the tribe. while he didn't oppose it, again falling into the mindset of blind loyalty and doing whatever it took to serve his tribe, it weighed heavily on him.
upon his father's death, noble inherited his position as captain of the queen's guard. something that meant everything to noble. he worked closely with the queen and morrowseer and was present during the icewing attack that wounded her. during the attack, he was also stuck by the icewing's frost breath, severely injuring his shoulder. following the queen, he submerged his shoulder in lava, hoping to prevent the frostbite from spreading. he kept doing this until his sister threatened an animus to enchant armour (kinda like this but slightly lower, on his actual shoulder) that would keep his shoulder heated enough to prevent it from spreading in the form of a shoulder plate made from scavenged metals.
following the death of his queen and the end of the war, noble abandoned the tribe, in hopes of returning to the lost city of night and rebuilding his tribe to former glory. during his time alone, he stumbled across a strange silver nightwing dragonet being attacked. he jumped in and killed her attacker. not wanting to admit it is because he cared, he adopted the guise of 'a nightwing looks after their own' and the two began traveling together.
Spyro: Dawn of The Dragon for some reason heavily reminds me of the lotr series- anyways IGNITUS!!! I've always wanted to draw out this sad scene :'D 💜
