Also, not to be a downer but, that was it?
They said this was this season would be the end and would tie up everything, but then they put some sequel bait, jinx just sort of sacrifices herself and that's that (except don't really show IT). Piltover and zaun are ok with each other now because there was a war and now there's a zaunite in the council?. Jayce and viktor are gone (but not really). Viktor had his thing with magic and went from one side to the other, but the exploration of that was kinda lacking. Same with jayce, that segment should've been longer. And caitlyn joined the facist uprising, but we don't get that much fallout and exploration either, not even time for her to reflect on it.
It feels like there should've been at least 1 or 2 more seasons. Instead of cramming it and STILL put some bait at the end. Idk i just want for stories to have an ending and be their own thing. All in all it was fine, but far from what season 1 was.
This fits so well if you have henry cut through hans' excuses and swear his lid off in the beginning. To have the only person that sees you for who you are and treats you like an equal unlike all the rest acting up as a yes man due to your status must've been devastating. The only person who sincerely enjoyed your company and you let them down. No one can be proud of you.
henry's boyfriend sure is bratty and dramatic
That scene made me feel THINGS... let's leave it at that...

I'm a solas hater (i love hating him, not his character) and it still feels like a cop-out to have the guy you are trying to stop just be the exact same from beginning to end. It's like they didn't know what to do with his character
Maybe I'm too much of a Solas stan but theres something really upsetting to me about every ending having Solas use his life force to uphold the veil. You know, the unnatural construct that destroyed the immortality of the elves, traumatizes spirits that pass through it, separates the physical world from his beloved Fade. I wish there was one ending where the veil came down ._.
And how did we get from his goals being saving the elven people (and the spirits) to doing it all for Mythal? I remember seeing a fan theory a while back that Solas was bound to Mythal's will and that's why he did everything, and I hated it because it robs him of all of his agency as a character. But that's basically what we got.
I think Solas was OOC which is sad because I was hoping he'd be the saving grace of veilguard.
