I just love the way everyone whispers their prayers or wishes into Nandi’s ears at Lord Shiva’s temple.

It feels like a shortcut to having your wishes fulfilled. If Nandi can't convince Lord Shiva for you, then who can?

Draupadi as a Feminist

Created by Vishvakarnma in order to trick the Daitya leaders Sunda nad Upasunda to fight each other, the apsara Tilottama is hailed as one of the most alluring personalities within Mahabharata. She is said to have been a source of distraction for even Shiva and Sakra.

In my imagination, she is a free woman, whose independence is what truly attracts the men who are narratively linked with her.
