Hello I Came To Ask For Myth And Friendship! I Would Like To See Your Take On Myth And Lucette (and Maybe

Hello I came to ask for Myth and friendship! I would like to see your take on Myth and Lucette (and maybe waltz) all being friends

Have a scenario were all three are getting along and Waltz and Myth try instructing Lucette on doing some magic from Lucette’s point of view.

It was apretty nice day, Lucette could admit that to herself. Even if it was still abit strange to spend days openly out of the palace like that, despite havingspent six months away.

The weatherwas nice and warm, the sun was shining brightly, she was out of town by a lake, sitting on a pier, feet dangling into the water, look sideways-

“-you didn’teven pay attention during the lesson, what the do you know aboutwater manipulation!?”

“Says theone, who couldn’t even warm up water without exploding part of it into steam!”

“I’ll showyou steam-!”

- and watchedas Waltz and Myth were ‘discussing’ how to best explain elemental water controlto her.

Lucettewanted to shake her head at them. It was ridiculous how easily they were ateach others throat. And how easily they teamed up against people trying to harmeither of the witches or her. She didn’t even pity Alcaster on that matter.Just the servants tasked with the clean up.

Well, atleast they were reacting to what the other one said, instead of just throwinginsults at each other.

Lucettewanted to shake her head at the two witches. Apart from each other they wereeasy to be around, even with Myth being… still not quite open about being awitch in public, but that was a matter of habit.

Put themtogether?

Myth was seriousabout magic, studying each field thoroughly, unwilling to let anything open forchance or surprise.

Waltz wasmuch more playful about his skills, willing to use it to humor crowds ofchildren and to discover nuances by himself. And he was a prodigy, who easilymastered where Myth needed time to learn.

She could seewhere Myth’s jealousy had come from. Seeing someone younger repeatedlyoutperform you, and not even studying seriously, could be… jarring. And withher mother hinting that maybe she was better of just teaching oneapprentice…

Their rivalryhad died down a bit over the last months, but she really didn’t want to knowwhat would have happened if Myth hadn’t gotten his head straight via Alcastertrying to kill him.

And she waspretty thankful for him being there for these lessons as well. Because beingthe Bearer gave her power not talent.

And sometimesit was nice to have additional instructions for the areas that came so naturalto Waltz. She knew Waltz didn’t mean any harm when he forgot to mention anaspect he thought was instinct and he had gotten better about it as well.

Myth had alsocalmed down a bit when Waltz had stopped putting showmanship into instructionsto show off.

Not that anykind if instructing had happened yet, today, because today they were disagreeingon information they had.

But it wasdefinitely entertaining.

Lucettelooked straight ahead again, looking over the lake.

It was a niceplace. Away from town, far enough that you needed horses to comfortably comehere in a reasonable time, so there were no town people-

A loudsplashing sound made her jerk up and turn back to the other two witches.

Waltz wasalone on the pier, looking dumbfounded and surprised, then smiled at her.

Myth was justsurfacing from the water.

“As it seemsmy information on water control is not faulty, I guess we can use it forinstructions,” he said, “It’s a bit like controlling the icicles from the lastlesson. You just need to identify the water to your magic first and push itinto the material before moving-” Waltz broke off when a wave swapped him fromthe pier.

Myth climbedback onto the wood, looking smug. “I recommend getting into contact with water firstand spreading magic into it, to identify the sensation of magic in water.Hurling it around has literally no skill to it.”

Lucettewatched as Waltz lunged out of the water grabbed Myth and pulled him back in.

Ignoring thesplashing noises she pondered the information. She was quite sure both maleshad the same information, just different ways of voicing it. Not thatneither would admit it with the other in hearing range.

So, pushingmagic into water to get a feel for it and then moving it around like theicicle…

It proved tobe a bit more difficult than the icicle. Water was a liquid and if she wantedto move it evenly, she needed to spread her magic evenly.

She watchedMyth and Waltz sending bursts of water at each other. Myth was sending waterfrom his immediate area to Waltz. Waltz ‘grabbed’ water away from him and shotit at Myth.

…could shepull water away from areas?

A short testproved: Yes, she could.

Smirking, shestarted to push her magic towards the males.

Their faceswhen they were suddenly on dry land were hilarious. When they noticedthat there was water towering up around them…

She let go ofit, before they could react.

And gave thema smile when they came up sputtering for air.

“I guess, Igot it,” she said, fighting down the laughter building up inside her.

Both weresilent. Looked at her, looked at each other, then back at her.

The nextmoment there was water flying towards her.

The sun hadmoved quite a bit when all three of them were stretched out on the grass, thesunshine warming them up and drying them slowly.

Lucette wasquite happy with the outcome. Win by superior firepower (and Crystallum enhancedresources).

“Well, princess, you definite understood the material,” Myth yawned from his place, looking like he was falling asleep. Waltz looked a bit more awake, but not bymuch.

Turned outthat Myth knew more about minimalizing his usage to last longer. She would lookinto that another day.

“That wasfun,” she finally said. Delora most likely wouldn’t participate in it. Maybewith the potion she had developed with Parfait and kept mumbling about, butotherwise she wouldn’t have the stamina. And the potion was a bit too expensive forthat.

And Parfaitwas too frail as well.

“Yeah, itreally was,” Waltz agreed, “What do you think, Myth?”

Silence.

Both turnedto the witch when he didn’t reply and Lucette fought back a snicker. Waltzlaughed quietly. “A nap doesn’t sound that bad,” he admitted and let out a yawnhimself.

Lucette lookedback into the sky. It was a prettynice day.

Well, I believe that murder should be legal if the person is a jerk.

021 - Anomaly

The most difficult things to plan for, Myth knew, were anomalies. Especially persistent ones. There were anomalies in strength -Waltz and he- and in sheer stubbornness -Delora- who was despite everything more of a problem than Waltz in some way, due to her closeness to the Lucis bearer.

Myth himself was also an anomaly the opposition wouldn't be expecting. For one, he was supposed to be dead. For another, he had -for now- Alcaster as his ally.

Fritz was an anomaly as well, his willingness to spend time with the princess going past the normal sense of duty.

So many anomalies he needed to keep track of and adapt his plans to...

It would be worth it, in the end.

Your writing is veeery good. Thank you for creating all this content. Can I request Myth interacting with young Lucette? Like, before the rebellion.

Take some story time.^^

If anyone wonders, the tale Myth starts telling is taken from the game “Kingdomd of Amalur: The Reckoning”. There are multiple tales in it, this one is the start of the one called “The Fading Of The Fae”.

The ten-year-oldwas looking at him curiously from her place at the floor in front of themakeshift puppet stage Waltz seemed to try to hide behind. “Princess,” he bowedstiffly to the girl and then glared at the boy trying to make himselfdisappear. “This is what you do, when you’re supposed to be studying?”

“W-Well,” Waltzchuckled awkwardly and forcefully, glancing at the door as if he was judgingthe time, he would need to reach it and flee successfully, “What are you doinghere, Myth?” “You didn’t put the books back. I got the allowance to get out ofyou where they are. That involved hunting you down in the first place. Does thequeen know what you’re doing?”

“It’s a secret!” the girl exclaimed cheerfully, “Youlearn together with Waltz? Can you also do tricks? Waltz can make flowersappear!” Big golden eyes peered at him. With her head slightly tilted the smallgirl looked… kind of cute.

“Secret?”he asked flatly, “Flowers?” “And we make dolls together and come up with storiesand he is really got at telling stories.”

“Stories?”he raised an unimpressed brow Waltz, “You do this instead of-?” “Don’t tellmother, please?” Myth starred at the girl. “What?”

“Don’t tellmother, please? I like having more company than my dolls and the maids areforbidden from playing with me and mother is barely there…” a pleading gaze methis eyes “You can stay as well!”

Silence. “What?I have no time to-” the golden eyes seemed to get a bit watery. For a momentfaces seemed to overlay, golden eyes darkening a bit, face morphing into a toddlerpeering at him, reaching for him. He forced the feeling away, before it couldgrab him. He starred silently at the girl. “And what would I be doing here?” hefinally asked coolly.

“Oh, Waltzand I come up with stories to tell each other. These Fairytales are boring andalways following the same pattern. So we come up with new stuff. Do you knowany stories to tell?”

He triedglaring at Waltz, who was still looking at him, but not looking outrightterrified anymore.

“I…”curious eyes looked at him. Hopeful and waiting. “I guess, I know a few fewerknown ones…” he finally sighted and the small girl let out a delighted aroundand suddenly he got pulled down to where she was sitting. “Tell, tell, tell!”The girl stilled and then looked over to the stage. “Is it something that couldbe played as well?”

“Ah… I doubtyou have the fitting things here…” Myth started and looked around for a moment. In the end the girl settled down comfortably anyway and looked at him. Mythalmost flinched when Waltz sat down as well, looking just as curious.

Myth took abreath and started talking, remembering dark evenings and a dark voice wistfullyrecalling old stories from memory.

“They were the harbingers of the Fall, theseChildren of Dust…and they lit the forest with their fires, and then split it with their blades. We crept back, shapeless in the darkness, silent in the trees. But shadows are few in this age of mortals. The light beckons…”

It was along tale and he was barely halfway through when he felt a weight against hisside and trailed of. The princess had fallen asleep and cuddled up to him,Waltz giving him a bright smile and then got up, coming back with a blanket.

Myth lookedat the sleeping girl snuggled into his side and tried to drown away thememories of a dark-haired toddler doing the same years ago.

My happiness about this blog existence is too big. So can you maybe write a Drabble about Myth’s first weeks in Hildyr’s training? How was he adjusting to this new life and all that? If it’s ok for you.

I live to write! ^___^

I hope this is along the line of what you wished for. (I may have escalated it a bit towards the end…)

“This will be yours.”

The door was closed now and Myth was alone in the roomthe queen had just assigned him.

‘Yours’ she had said. His. This was his.

This whole room.

A whole room for himself after years of running andhiding and fearing the cold of the night and used to the pain of hunger.

Hesitating for a moment, he stepped further into theroom, the wood of the floor not even creaking under his weight.

Clothes had been the first thing provided by thequeen, upon deciding he was worth some of her time. A street child had no placefollowing the queen around.

Standing in the middle of the room didn’t makeanything disappear. In a strange way it made everything more surreal and realat the same time.

Smooth, painted walls and a window. A drawer and acupboard. A nightstand and a bed.

Drawer and cupboard proved to be empty, but what wouldhave been in there? He hadn’t brought anything with him.

The sight from the window was met with darkness.Whatever was on the other side, it was too dark outside to see at the moment.

The bed was real. Soft and warm and utterly heavenly.

Exhaustion, mixed with the surreal new situation hewas in soon enough swirled together into the dreams he would never remember.

Myth wasn’t trusting this new routine quite yet.

He got up in the morning, got a meal, started on hislessons and worked on them until either he was finished or night arrived, onlyinterrupted by another meal in the evening.

It was strange to not need to worry about thingsanymore. It was… nice. A sense of security had severely missed and mournedwhen his childhood home had turned to ashes.

There was food, there was warm clothing and rain andcold weren’t a problem anymore, because he was inside heated, dry rooms duringhis studies.

He didn’t trust this peace. People didn’t just sweepin and took in orphans. It just didn’t happen!

Not that he dared to voice that thought. Especiallynot to the person, who had rescued him. No reason to bite the hand that fed him-in this case literally!

He was here, because the queen wanted it, learned fromher, because she wished so.

He needed to figure out why.

There was another apprentice, Waltz.

He was a bit younger than Myth, but had also been herefor a bit longer.

And the queen wasn’t teaching them together. For somereason it gnawed at Myth.

Why not? What was the reason? They couldn’t bedifferent in skill if she had decided to teach them both…

Myth found himself paying attention. Especially to howmuch time the queen spent on whom (her daughter taken out of the equation, shewas a blood relative, the princess rating higher than him in the queen’spriorities wasn’t surprising).

The queen spent… a lot more time on Waltz.

Why? He had watched the other boy and he wasn’t a goodstudent at all! Sure, he got the material quickly, but shirked the lessonswhenever possible!

Maybe she spent more time on him, because she knewthat as well…

Yes… that was it. Surely it was that.

But… why would she keep sucha troublesome student around?

There was pain flaring when he moved, the welts on hisback burning.

He should have known better than agreeing to do thatboy a favour! No one would know, he had said. Nothing would happen, Waltz had promised!

“I thought better of you… Butit seems, I need to remember you, who you’re owing your place… And how easilythat gift is taken away.”

The room was dark. Cold. Somewhere underground.Layered with something that kept magic just out of his reach.

No light. No warmth. No power. Hunger gnawing at him.Thirst burning in his throat.

How long had he been in here? How much time hadpassed? He wanted out, he felt so powerless and weak and he didn’t want to feellike that again -pleaseletmeout!Ogodthedarknessisdrowningme!Pleasepleaseplease!It'schokingme!IpromiseIwon'teverdoitagain!Pleaseletmeout!

He didn’t remember the darkness taking hisconsciousness away.

“Look at you, you learned yourlesson so well! Lets see, if you’re a good student after all.”

The words were somehow in his mind when he woke up. Asif someone had said them just before he woke up.

The whip marks on his back were bandaged, the softlight of the dawn was streaming inside the room through the window, a meal onthe nightstand next to the bed.

It took a few days for him to get over himself and askWaltz about what happened.

Nothing had happened to him.

Nothing had happened to him.

NoThINghaDhapPendtOhiM!

Myth found himself hating Waltz.

Waltz, who got his queen’s personal attention, despitehis disobedience.

The prodigy, who never took his lessons serious.

The one favourite, who never even got punished!

He deserved nothing!

Myth would prove it. He would get his queen to look athim. He just needed to make up for the first slight.

He would prove that he was worth it!

There were new scars on his back, now.

His thoughts were kind of hazy to grasp.

He remembered darkness…

Right, he had been studying by himself, topics notassigned by his teacher…

He hated Waltz.

He wouldn’t disobey his teacher again.

He was a good student.

Pain. Darkness.

He hated Waltz.

He wouldn’t question his queen.

He was a good student.

Pain. Darkness.

He hated Waltz.

His queen’s decisions were absolute andwithout fault.

He was a good student.

Pain. Darkness.

He hated Waltz.

His queen was perfect.

He was a good student.

Pain. Darkness.

He hated Waltz.

His queen was perfect.

Pain. Darkness.

His queen was perfect.

Pain. Darkness.

His queen was perfect.

Pain. Darkness.

His queen was perfect.

Pain. Darkness.

His queen was perfect.

Pain. Darkness.

She was perfect.

Pain. Darkness.

She was perfect.

She was perfect.She was perfect.She was perfect.Shewas perfect.She was perfect.She was perfect.She was perfect.She was perfect.Shewas perfect.

Shewasperfect.Shewasperfect.Shewasperfect.Shewasperfect.Shewasperfect.Shewasperfect.Shewasperfect.Shewasperfect.Shewasperfect.

He would give her everything.

myth and fritz drabble?

Have a small piece.

Sometimes Mythwasn’t sure how the knight was able to be so genuinely good.

It wasn’tthat the boy was trying to be charming or trying to woe her. He was… way tooobvious for that.

But in away they were the same. Bound by their oaths, their duties, their promises. Theknight was just way more open about it, his promises and oaths known. His dutiesnot needing to be hidden.

Both oftheir duties would be dangerous under specific circumstances. And none of themwould simply abandon them. It was just how they were. Even when they haddifferent reasons for it.

In the end, they were both just doing their jobs, driven and motivated by personal agendas.

71 - Obsession :)

071 - Obsession

The crystal was slightly glowing, just like always. His queen was safely enclosed, sleeping like she had for the last months. Months he had spent busy to assure the success of the task she had given him

There was no way, he was going to fail. Failure wasn’t tolerated. He was the only apprentice now. The loyal one. He would work on freeing her and succed and she would praise him, acknowledge that he was the better student.

His loyalty would be rewarded. Him fulfilling his task would be reward. These rewards was all he wanted. Only serving his Queen was important.

34?

034 - Mechanical

Over theyears the action of renewing the glamour on himself had become an automated actionof his body he didn't even need to pay attention to. He could do it halfasleep. Had done so multiple times already. It had become a mechanical actionto him, when it had started out as a must to stay hidden.

Now it wassimply a mechanical action of him, build into a routine. Just like sitting downon the desk in his office and stamping and/or signing papers.

Time wasgnawing at him, at his mind, lulling him into a sense of secureness. But asmechanical as it was to him, as ingrained as the action was, it didn't meanthat it would work forever. He was a witch and the princess was going toinherit the Tenebrarum. And then it would only be a matter of time until shenoticed the witch in the palace.

The routinewas safe, but only for the moment. Working like a machine was only useful whenthe setting stayed the same.

He simplyneeded to make sure that the situation was in his favor when the machine becameuseless.

how do you think a myth route would go, if it was canon?

Well…

Starting atthe beginning, I don’t think the prologue would change much, at most maybe thechoice to talk with Mythros a bit more than the short greeting in the hallway. Iguess the real first bigger change would happen in the Marchen, when you’resupposed to make a choice, who to ask for help.

In Fritz’sroute Lucette doesn’t ask anyone, but still ponders how to break her curse. Icould see her start doubting that Delora even spoke the truth about thebreaking conditions of the course, together with the trustworthiness of theother Marchen inhabitants. They trust Delora after all and Delora cursed her.

Resulting fromthe distrust she may strife to leave the Marchen more often, to get away frompeople, even without any protection -be it via magic or by having a bodyguard-and people are looking for her.

Someone mayapproach her -Myth has a big reward out for her- or maybe Fritz stumbles overher or maybe it gets late one time and Varg finds her. Or maybe she ends upnear the palace and Genaro sees her for some reason and gets scared, becauseshe does look like Hildyr and fromafar…

It would beenough for Myth to take a personal look at the surroundings.

In any caseLucette would learn pretty quickly that Myth has magic, because he remembersher. And also notice quickly that he is a witch, because a fairy wouldn’t behiding and you would need to have a good reason to hide being cursed.

Maybe hepretends that he is in the palace to prevent racism via laws by sabotaging them, maybe he finds another excuse for being at the palace. Maybe he even mentionsher mother to establish himself as more willing to share information than the peopleat the Marchen.

Despitethat Lucette may still need to return to the March at times. Parfait is abearer and still much stronger than Myth and Myth can’t afford being unmaskedas a witch.

Maybe heoffers her a fake job as an excuse to get her out of the palace. As a princessshe is educated after all. (Secretary, translator for something, administration, take your pick, in any case better than sweeping floors.)

Lucettewould maybe learn more of the Witch Hunts than of the Great War, interact withmore witches -Myth would have needed to be in contact with many of them to gettheir assistance in Rumpel’s route- and getting taken seriously instead ofgetting pestered about good deeds may even calm Lucette down a bit.

Being inMyth’s company would be an excuse to enter the palace as well and the two woulddefinitely have quite some time to talk. Maybe Emelaigne would start playing a biggerroll as well, I can see her being pretty interested into a new face at the palaceshe could talk to.

I couldimagine that Varg would also be present regularly and Myth may twist his reasonfor cursing Fritz a bit, as in it being better than the alternatives Alcastercould have done.

Myth wouldsurely also have a way to deal with Alcaster (I can imagine him poisoning theman or simply letting evidence be found after removing evidence pointing athimself. Or he pulls something similar as in Rod’s route.)

Improvementsin a relationship with him may be done by acknowledging that he has quite theskill with magic. Or simply not comparing him with Waltz. Seeing him as a talentedindividual may also help there. Getting this kind of positive attention mayvery well be what makes him split from Hildyr in the end. Maybe he puts Fritzinto a coma to keep Varg from drowning Fritz’s personality, maybe the two mergeand the curse breaks.

In a goodending… well, if they get together, people would in any case learn of him havingmagic, which would result in less hiding. He may simply claim he hid it toguard the Tenebrarum better. People may have panicked and tried to dispose ofthe late queen sleeping inside, destroying the crystal in the process. And theking was openly unapproving of witches, which may play a part as well.

In the badending… a lot of people die, I would say. Hildyr gets free. I don’t know if shewould kill Myth for his involvement with Lucette or if she would do somethingelse. Maybe Lucette ends up willingly following her mother’s lead once more, having learned what people did to the witches just for fearing them doing thehunts and remembering what people were like to her, when she didn’t even havepowers.

Or maybe Hildyrgets free in both endings. Maybe they double cross and dispose of her in publicto make sure no one doubts Myth’s loyalty despite having been her apprentice. Inthe bad ending as the ice queen, distrustful of human goodwill and unforgivingto people. Maybe there is a choice for her, to take the throne by force andmake herself queen by force, fighting and winning against the people of the Marchen. In the good ending she would let everything get sorted out and maybe even letit go piece by piece, having learned about human and magical evil.

I would atleast guess that we would see a lot more story about the War and the Hunt, Hildyrand magic in general.
