any mention of black lives matter has disappeared off my dashboard so i thought y'all might want to know that police stormed a peaceful vigil in memory of elijah mcclain, attacking mourners with pepper spray. families were there. children were affected. this movement isnt over just because it's no longer trendy.

to my friends in red states, please stay safe and watch out for each other. stay inside and avoid going out if you don’t need to. not to stir up fear in the wake of victory, but there are numerous watchdog organizations warning people — especially black and trans folks — to expect a sharp uptick in violence and tension. the naacp has issued a warning to black people in missouri to STAY INSIDE, STAY TOGETHER, STAY SAFE. check on your friends. stay informed. if you aren’t following them already, check out the naacp website and watchdog organizations to keep an eye on things in your area.

to white folks, this is a time for you to celebrate as well, but things are far from over. reach out to your poc and trans friends, particularly your black and trans friends, and check on them and make sure they feel safe. DO NOT STOP DONATING TO PAYPALS AND GOFUNDMES. CONTINUE SHARING RESOURCES AND INFORMATION. CONTINUE PARTICIPATING IN COMMUNITY AID. electing biden did not simultaneously wipe out the issues many marginalized communities are facing. i love buckys short hair because for so long, he grew it out, and most likely not by choice or it was by necessity. under hydra they didnt do it, and then he was on the run or busy with other things like staying under the radar, not dying, and just generally finding himself again and enjoying some damn peace and quiet.

the hair cutting could very well be buckys choice. his own grasp on his life and his body. he didnt have a say in his arm really. hydra put it on, tony blew it off, tchala handed him the new one when he was needed… but the hair…

when a woman has something in her life happen, what does she normally do? like after a break up or to get some control over their own life? they dye/cut their hair.

bucky is HEALING. this hair is a fresh start.

also i bet those of you crying about the short hair on bucky also were the ones who cried about the destroyer haircut too. its hair. pretty sure it was a wig half the time anyway in like, civil war or IW/endgame so chill and let the man free himself from the wig and use his own hair. you all are too tied up in his looks and dont actually care about his characterization.
