Perry Chase is a certified Country Boi (tm), whomst moved to Manhattan, New York after his mum died. He moved in with his father, who owned a printing press, and became a writer for a daily column on the New York highlife.

He was very much bored with this job, when a sudden opportunity to prove his news-reporting mettle to his father (and boss) sprung up.

This event led to many changes in his life, one of which being his promotion to a “more interesting” reporting job. The other? Well, let’s just say he ended up a little more “engaged” with the news in New York than just reporting on it.

sometimes it’s easy to forget one is human

and then just kind of go about your day, make some cheap Walmart-bought ramen noodles for lunch

(you know, the stuff that isn’t really ramen and is so salty you could knock out a horse with it but it still tastes good)

and then you realize “oh hey I’m not just a floating consciousness that exists in the basis of my human interactions, I have a FORM and it is HUMAN FLESH and oh hey that’s kinda weird”

anyways point being

if we really do live in the matrix that’s a really weird glitch /j

no funny jokes for a second, this is serious

be kind to people, treat them like they’re humans

don’t endanger them

because stuff like dehumanization, not wearing a mask, not getting vaccines

all of that just gets people hurt.

and that’s a horrible thing to do to anyone, no matter how much you want the pandemic to be over already.

the dehumanization of high-risk people at almost year 3 of the pandemic is so enormously scary and painful.

“high risk people will protect themselves” how? did you think about that? are we able to go grocery shopping? are we able to see loved ones? are we able to access lifesaving medical appointments? no! you refuse to protect us!
