To celebrate the birth and launch of the James Webb Space Telescope on December 25th 2021, let’s pay respect to the hard working Hubble Space Telescope. Launched in 1990, NASA projected its lifespan to be approximately 15 years but as of 2021, it has actually been in service for 31 years.
