I knew there wouldn't be many icons on this series, especially as Netflix doesn't let you take screenshots smh. But I really loved the manga for this one, so I was excited when it was turned into an anime!

Remember when I said I’d post every Wednesday? I FORGOT.
Also fun fact, I’m a writer for a particular website so I’m here rn at SD Comic Con. It’s rough for a Thursday. I wanted to go to the Junji-Ito panel buttttt… there were some complications in the line.
First of all, this panel wasn’t even at the convention and being held at the Public Library which is very nice and I might consider going again. And the event was being held on the 9th floor, so wowza! Gotta be pretty fancy if they have 9 floors, right? Still not sure what happened, but they started moving people in line all the way back to the first floor and since the panel had already started after waiting for an hour, it was time to leave and make my trek back to the convention in the hot, hot sun.
Sweat continues to trickle down my back as I tried yet again to get into another popular panel only to find it has been spread into different sections a less several hallways. Tis the consequences of a popular convention so best to just cut my losses and find something in the exhibit hall.
So here I am over 2 hours early for a panel just so I can get in and reading a book so I don’t cry from the combined stress of the past few weeks.
Comic Con is awesome I swear, just the worms in my brain are saying;
“Hmm… reconsider.”

The Enigma of Amigara Fault
This short story by Junji Ito is about a fault that appears in Amigara mountain after an earthquake. The earthquake exposes countless human-shaped holes in the mountain which seem to have been made about a thousand years ago. People, intrigued by these silhouettes, gather at the site and that’s when things get creepy.
It’s about a 15-20 min read, but if you haven’t read this before, you’re in for a treat. Link above.

Yeeeeah, figured I couldn’t scan this with my puny scanner. And since my sister has the “good” camera, I had to take this photo using a potato. I apologize. I will re-upload as soon as I can get my hands on the other camera.
This is a fairly large commission for my father who is a fan of of the horror mangaka Junji Ito. This is the opening picture to Ito-san’s manga “Tomie” which also happens to be my dad’s favorite found in the series.
His request was simple: “Just make it bigger”
And since I too am a fan of Ito-san, this is a very enjoyable project. It’s nearly finished; I’m pretty excited.

Sweet Home
I recently watched “Sweet Home” and I fucking loved it! It was so good and I think there’s going to be a season two, and I can’t wait. I’m assuming they used cgi and I don’t care about cgi or practical affects, as they can both be good. The show reminded me of Junji Ito a bit if that makes any sense. In the beginning I didn’t really care about any of the characters but by the end I was devastated. It’s on netflix and I recommend giving it a watch if you like horror/gore apocalypse type stuff.
any one else into junji ito's works? my fav short story manga's from him are : remina ( that's my fav of all time, shows how humanity becomes Inhumane in such a crisis) , uzumaki , sensor, black paradox and Frankenstein. While my favorite smaller works of his are : hanging balloons, the human chair , the bully , Madonna , Army of One , The Enigma of Amigara Fault and Layers of fears ( this one really creeped me out 😭)
