โ Aatamixx, the Echoflower System's Introduction ๐ซ๐ชป
Hello, welcome to my blog, I'm Aatami (AKA Mishka or Snep)! Well, that's just collectively speaking. If you're talking about the whole system, you can call me (us) the Echoflower System. My collective pronouns are he/him, but kit/kitself, nya/nyaself, and star/starself are all good too. I'm pretty new to Tumblr (well I had a blog in like 2020, but I've forgotten basically everything about itโฆ also I use parentheses way too much, gosh), but I plan to use this blog as a sort of archive for all the xenogenders I've coined, as well as getting into the MOGAI and plural communities on here. I hope I can find my people on this website. /lh
(This post will be periodically edited as things about myself change, of course.)
โ So Now That I Know This Aatami, Where Can I Find Him? โ
In case you had it in you for even more rambling, you can check out my about me literature on Toyhouse (I use it like a Carrd). More things are already linked there, so I don't need to re-add them all here. I also use the account that it's posted under for posting the occasional bulletin (and storing my original characters, but those are all private and will remain as such for the foreseeable future).
โ Small Facts About the System โ
(Switching to using plural language for this was a little jarring lawl, I'm very much used to referring to myself singularly.)
โ We have OSDD-1B (recognized by our psychologist, but unable to be officially diagnosed due to not being disordered โ we've achieved functional multiplicity, surprisingly enough) and are of mixed traumagenic origins
โ We are an aceplex
โ We're a theriosystem
โ We are very male- / masculine-heavy, due to our gender dysphoria affecting everyone
โ Because we're so male-heavy, we default to using he/him instead of they/them when referring to an unspecified alter or one whose gender identity is unknown
โ We're also somewhat angel-heavy
โ Due to our maladaptive daydreaming, our system has countless paracosms (the most active ones of which being the worlds our original stories are set in, as well as our fandoms, especially ones we're hyperfixating on)
โ Our headspace is exclusively set in our daydreams, and is not something that's just there in the background โ it has to be consciously visualized and visited (or well, accidentally while zoning out)
โ We are a dreamway system of sorts, but I should mention that we don't experience walk-ins and pretty much none of our alters are paragenic
โ Our alters almost never interact in the headspace, but they can use things like the Simply Plural chat and get a conversation going if need be
โ Alter Signoff Chart โ
(I originally planned to list their roles here too, but I ended up deciding against it, since I'm unsure of what some of their purposes are and uncomfortable with sharing a few others.)

Darnell wears rose tinted glasses!
We think he might have NPD, but it's very strange because no one else in our system acts anything like that. He's also very stereotypical and exaggerated so at first I was hesitant to say he did... but now I'm starting to think that's mainly because he has no social skills whatsoever and has barely talked to anyone outside of our system. If that is the case, it's really interesting how disorders can present differently in systems!
Either way, the tinted glasses represent the unrealistic "lens" through which he sees the world. He automatically assumes he's very important and likeable to everyone, and entitled to their attention. He doesn't seem to understand why this isn't the case and gets frustrated when things don't work out the way he wants them to.
We're starting to understand why he acts like this though and hopefully with some patience we'll work it out ^^
When you struggle with identity loss so you just adopt that as your identity.
Me: Scrolling thru Tumblr
Theo: Fucking fronts specifically to make me go back and like a post I didn't care enough to like myself
And that's how literally every post on our feed was liked.
Do any other systems just... like... look through stuff they made/said before they knew they were a system and cringe so hard?
Like. Personally, we made up an entire alternative explanation for what we were to avoid being associated with alters... but uh, funny story, here we are now :]
Hiya! Iโm Mikan! I wanted to post my blog on here so you guys can follow it >:3/nf

So all this week i had been super out of it and dissociating all week and its really annoying I thought this was normal like i mean system shit but then last night it felt like my body was changing. My hands kept getting bigger and small and I kept getting taller. So then I did research on aiws and am like 90% sure i'm in an aiws episode.
New system pin goes hard ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
A few of my alters wanted to make an account so feel free to follow it do you want

i think that's where all the hate on endos comes from. ยซthey claim to be suffering like we doยป and shit... but being plural doesn't mean to suffer. it means having multiple people in your head and that's it.
i think people don't quite understand that systemhood is not always about suffering only. being a system may genuinely help coping with stress and people may be in good relationships with their alters. not always, of course, but thinking about plurality as a curse only means to stigmatize it.
there CAN be happy life for systems and we should at least try to reach it. meow :]

Okay, we love and hear you out, but, please, we beg of you, not the puns-
Please-
You donโt understand, we have a sans alter-
youโll give him iDEAS-

when there's fighting in headspace......... call that an altercation
oh my god r u a system w incredibox sourced alts too ?!?
YES I AM!!!
Wh... What?? What is?? What does this mean??
The headmate?
Wh.... I don't remember this being made or the context. Did he scream in *Innerworld* and wake us? I... Am so confused...
Last night i woke up to a scream because there was a bug in liliths room, rip
This is truly beautiful work <3
i don't know if we will leave this up, because we aren't sure if it comes across how we would like. but the alter who wrote this, yellowfang, has wanted to create it for some time, so we opted to try.
we, once again, apologize for any art style inconsistencies. the comic artwork itself was worked on by several of us.
This Aged Well ๐ญ Everyone who knows was very open minded about it. It isn't perfect, and they haven't made any attempt to learn more or recognize us as individuals but they acknowledge it and believe me, ultimately I am very glad I told them even though I was scared. I only told people I trusted at first. Then my family had a small bit of an intervention with me and with the support of those who already knew, I told the rest of my family who didn't know.
The only people who don't know are my Father, his Wife, and my step-sister. This is because I am only medically recognized not diagnosed and my father has a tendency of thinking me a Liar for attention. Also all three are very very close minded.
My advice to you, if you want to tell people you are a system, please be very careful who you tell. Only tell those you trust and never tell someone who might harm you in some way with this information. Your saftey should always come before your comfortability.
With Love, Cordelia
I'm terrified of my family finding out I'm a system now that i know i dont want to be diagnosed. Diagnosis would prevent me from transitioning and ruin a lot in my life. But ive already been too honest, and I've even been medically recognized as a system. It's terrifying and I don't know what to do
We usually say everything pre-realization is the hosts memories but the reality is that we can actually pin point certain memories and name who lived them. Before we knew we were a system fictives still experienced source memories, and when we were waaay younger we literally talked about having a 'sister in my head'
My point here is that this is true, the disorder does not form when you realize you have it
As a reminder:
We were not fully aware of being a system until around 2015-2016. I was around 19 years old (I think). And thatโs absolutely valid - this disorder is made to be covert.
But becoming aware of your system =\= it forming. Your system forms from childhood trauma. Becoming aware of it later in life doesnโt erase the other aspects of OSDDID, such as the dissociative amnesia and impact OSDDID has on your identity.

Reblogging so I can answer the question.
There are several things that I can do to influence a switch, though I would like to preface this with two things.
1: just because it doesnโt look or feel like you would expect it to doesnโt mean you arenโt switching. For us a switch is a huge personality shift even though our conscious stays mainly unaffected. Sometimes the only way weโve realized we switched is cause either our likes and dislikes donโt match the hosts, or a friend will point out something small we often didnโt realize weโre doing that the host would never do. (Including but not limited to: breathing patterns, posture, word choice, tone, and energy level)
2. As stated in previous posts of ours, forcing a switch when itโs not necessary can be really harmful to the system and your mental health. Trying to prove to yourself that you are valid by forcing a switch is one of the worst things you can do. You validity does not hinge on if you can switch when you want to or if you even switch at all. Your symptoms are valid even if they donโt fit into the box youโre thinking of. That being said, if you need it to happen it most likely will, but if you find yourself in a situation where you canโt switch, here are some tips of how to get it started.
A positive trigger is anything that can get a headmate closer to the front. Maybe itโs their favorite song or a food they really enjoy, maybe itโs as simple as talking about them irl. Itโs anything that gets them excited to front.
I personally have a hard time switching in an environment that Iโm not comfortable in unless I get badly triggered and someone else comes out to deal with it. So if youโre looking for a casual switch just to learn more about youโre system, try surrounding yourself with people who are aware of the system and support all of you. Or if you would rather do this on your own, try going to a safe space where no one will interrupt you.
Itโs possible that your headmates arenโt comfortable coming out because you are telling them they have to mask perfectly. So maybe to get them used to being in the front, let them come out when you are in a safe space and no one will judge you. Give them some time and space to be themselves. Since this is mainly a covert disorder a lot of alters very well might be great at masking, but thatโs no guarantee. So start of in a safe space and a healthy mindset.
This is a big one, if you have any communication between your different parts try using it to express what you would like. Be honest, they share your brain and may very well know when youโre lying. Explain that they are safe to come out and do as they please, that no oneโs going to hurt them (again make sure you are in that safe space and healthy mindset). This simple encouragement can do wonders, but if theyโre still hesitant for whatever reason or if the straight up just say no, respect that. Otherwise you might cause discourse or tension in the system which is the last thing you want.
I know a lot of this was more mindset stuff you can work on, but that stuff can be really helpful. Iโll end this post with another warning against forcing a switch when you donโt need to, and some encouragement that even if you donโt switch like youโre โsupposed toโ it doesnโt make it any less valid, youโre feelings are still there and theyโre real to you.
Have a good day, hope this is helpful.

Follow-up from this post here:
How do you personally leave the front? Is there any specific thing that you do that you consider important to the switching process?
Also, are there any tips you could possibly give me about switching out of the front?
the amount of censorship and ignorance regarding anything that isn't remotely 'normal' or seems 'realistic' to the average eye is absolutely disgusting and genuinely ableist. see someone who's visibly disabled? oh, no, you can never go up to them! come on! avoid them! they're too different from you. you would never be able to understand them. they would never be able to understand you. have a friend who has a stigmatized mental health condition? oh! they must be faking! nobody *actually* has that! it's too rare! we should stop being friends with them! they must be a monster! have someone tell you that you have an invisible disability? that doesn't exist! if i cant see it, then you don't have it! i know your body better than you do! prove you have your disability, then! and the funny thing is, these types of things are completely censored- viewed as 'wrong' or 'not something to be talked about'. when really, it's just an excuse to not talk about, spread awareness, or allow those who are troubled by these conditions to speak up. TALK ABOUT YOUR ILLNESS. TALK ABOUT YOUR DISABILITY. TALK ABOUT YOUR 'ABNORMALCY'. show the world that **you aren't weird or crazy or monstrous for not fitting the norm.**
