School is starting anew and studying could not be more beautiful when done together. This post is for the many other students out there, learning and growing amidst differences and distances. I’ve always dreamed of a community united through this and could not be any happier when I found studyblr <33
08.21.22
The first week’s been pretty cool, the teachers can be intimidating but the experience is fun. I think I accidentally grew into those people who take cool notes with memo pads, annotations, and highlights during class hehe <33
School’s about to start in two days, does anyone have any tips for taking notes?
28.11.2024 | not happy about my productivity today
✅ full review of gases for chemistry
✅ mcqs from the same chapter
i don’t know what it is lately, but i have been very demotivated and i haven’t been really hitting my goals and to-dos. any ideas on how to solve this?
23.11.2024 |
had some classes today at school and had a lovely walk afterwards. after a facetime with my boyfriend i was ready to take on my assignments 💪🏻🤩
i finished a lesson of AP english language
i finished an assignment and a quiz for AP calculus
and ate a girl dinner (bread with butter, the ultimate combo)
21.11.2024 | today was ap lang!
i skipped school because of some document stuff and got some extra time to work on my research assignment for this class (which i was about a week late with), so that was great.
there is very little until my final exams for this semester, both for my school curriculum and ap courses. hoping to push through, but it will be a fast paced month.
hoping to share this journey with everyone! how was your day? i’d love to see some fellow studious people :)
13.11.2024 |
✅ chain rule review and exercises
✅ implicit differentiation review and exercises
✅ submitted an assignment for calculus class
today was all about calculus and i did around seven hours of math
to be honest, i had ap lang stuff to do but i didn’t get around to doing them because, you know, once that math hole sucks you in you can’t get outta there
but it was fun because i finally felt like i regained my confidence academically after rotting in bed because it’s fall break 🤩
anyways, i hope i’ll be productive tomorrow so i can post on here haha. i feel very unproductive when i don’t post here lol
04.11.2024 | let me tell you, my calc professor did not really let me get an extension for my assignments despite me telling him it was exam season 😭
so it is on guys (to be honest i understand nothing because i didn’t have time to prepare for the assignment. hmu if you are good at implicit differentiation).
other than that i will go over a few topics for my history exam tomorrow. rip. wish me luck 😔😃
••••••••••••••••
03.11.2024 | took some in depth-notes for my upcoming history and biology exams.
learning the history of the ottoman empire is almost as easy as learning the whole structure of the eye 😂
still going because i need academic validation💪🏻😭
hi everyone! my name is sabs and you have found my study blog. i couldn’t think of a better first post other than to show what’s inside of my schoolbag!
it is exam season now and my schedule has been hectic so i wanted to make this blog to inspire myself and everyone and to be motivated!
my bag is a messy place. but to list everything in the photo:
pencil case — has every writing necessity ever. it’s not even branded, it’s an amenity pouch from a plane.
jane eyre. i recently started reading and i love it, already a quarter through!
my crusty folder that has stuff that will probably bend and tear in the mess that is my backpack.
AP calc notebook where i take all the notes i need for the class
this usually changes but today i had my biology textbook.
my trusty planner that gets me through the scheduling issues when i am loaded like a camel with work that needs to be done.
card holder, as i mostly only use card instead of cash.
wired headphones from apple. the sound quality is immaculate, plus it looks more studious in my opinion haha. biased much? but they were like twenty bucks and i can never go without them.
TI-83 Plus for calc class
gum because stinky breath is a no go
wet wipes because i have to have clean hands at all times or i will freak out
spare hairties
keys with a small swiss knife from the brand columbia (awesome little thing that has so many uses)
hand cream from neutrogena — thick and moisturizing
last but not least: tiny box with band-aids and painkillers, just in case
more to come soon!

Long time, no see?
Getting back on track! Life got busy, but I'm refocusing on my priorities. Studying and personal growth are back at the top of my list.
It's time for a fresh start. Balancing responsibilities and academics won't be easy, but I'm up for the challenge.
Things I managed to do today-
Revised Anatomy Of Flowering Plants from these beautiful notes of Vipin sir.
Half-Complete Periodic Table Chapter.
Here's to new beginnings and making progress, one step at a time! 🥂
01/03/2025 。・:*:・゚☆
Guess who's back , back again?
This week was super tough! My sister was really sick with a fever, and my mom had a small surgery. I had to take care of everything at home, which was a lot of work. As a result,I got sick too. But we're all slowly feeling better now, and that's a big relief!
Today was a bit productive, I managed to squeeze in some study sessions.
Half Kinematics Chapter done.
Revised Plant Growth And Development chapter.
Given how I'm feeling, I'm surprised I got anything done at all - so that's a small win, right?"
Hi all,
Honestly, I think this is the most regularly I've posted. The end of the exams are nearly in sight!
The above photos are of my frantic preparation for my Ancient History exam after realising I know less than half the syllabus—although I blame that on bad, very bad teaching this year. Also inconsistent teaching—my ancient history class has been fast becoming the real life equivalent of the Defence against the Dark Arts position at my school, with our teachers leaving after only a term or two.
What I've done in the past two days:
about 6 or 7 short answer questions
research for my ancient history exam
reading way too many academic articles for my brain to handle
If any other ATAR students are reading this, hopefully we can all end this exam season with a bang! Nearly there!
Thanks for reading, and I hope you're productive this week!
Hi all,
it's term 3, and the assessments are piling up higher than Mount Everest. Exams start in slightly more than a month, I have some heavy-weighted tasks coming up, and as the days start to dry up so too does my optimism. Hence this post.
The above pictures are of some notes I've been taking on disease, our new biology topic.
What I got done this weekend:
A practice literature essay
Literature research on Hamlet
Biology notes
Ancient history exam notes
I'm hoping to complete some maths revision later tonight, as well as a timed practice essay for literature. Also, if anybody who reads this blog has any tips or tricks for writing literature essays under timed conditions and would be able to comment that (and something more constructive than "time management") I"d really appreciate it.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you're productive this week!
Hey all,
I haven't posted in a long time, and I know that's not just a trick of the memory. It's been a long term, it's been a long year, honestly, and I'm not entirely sure when I'll post again. Hopefully soon? I know I said that last time, oops. In the meantime, here's some old pictures of a few Ancient History notes I never ended uploading.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you're productive this week!
Hi, I'm back again!
School has been intense recently, but I've (mostly) caught up with everything, so it should be smooth sailing for a few weeks now!
Speaking of sailing, and boats, and books, of course, I've started annotating my copy of Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness for school. Hopefully rereading it won't be so confusing as the initial reading was.
The other photo above are of my notes on William Blake's poem The Little Black Boy, or rather notes on the essay Liberatory Christianity and the Perception of Race in "TLBB".
What I got done today:
Literature notes.
Literature annotating.
Biology revision.
Also, I apologise for my rather bad quality photos. Whenever I write these posts (or think about writing them) I always wish my camera was a little more sharp, or my skills a little more intuitive. It always quietly amazes me how study bloggers can manage to capture such beautiful shots.
But I suppose my own stumbling efforts do have their own unique flair; a sense of personal authenticity to them, that reflects the imperfect and the mundane, mirroring back the glamourless way life (and studying) so often plays out.
Well.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you're productive this week!

If you could give the man on the tractor only one piece of information, and had to choose between the following, which would you choose?
a. the moment produced about the point at base of the tree is (-16.5i + 5.51j)kN-m
Or
b. Your distance from the tree is less than its height, if the tree falls faster than your tractor moves... you splat

Thank you so much for the support! I couldn’t have done it without all of you. A simple reblog or like will help others see these tips, and will be very appreciated. I hope these links work - feel free to message me with questions and other links!! A possible part 2 might come out at the end of august, and one for languages!!!
Good Study Habits (8 Tips)
Start
Make some time to study. Write it down in your planner, bullet journal, hand, anywhere. just make sure you tell yourself to do it and then do it! Starting is always the hardest thing to do. But once you start you will likely get into it pretty fast.
2. Make time for breaks
Being able to schedule in time for breaks is important. You don’t have to study yourself into the ground. Give your brain a break but, don’t give yourself too long of a break. Give yourself a maximum of an hour of break. If your break lasts more than an hour, most likely you are never going to go back to studying.
3. Remember to eat
Do not starve yourself but also do not eat too much. Being satisfyingly full is good, it will help you focus and help you feel comfortable. If you overstuff yourself, then you might get sleepy or you will feel too uncomfortable to the point of not being able to focus. Eat some snacks in between chapters, eat a balanced lunch, and make time for dinner. Good snacks would be: nuts, banana, yogurt, dried fruits.
4. When Studying a new topic, make time to go back and review older topics
Remembering new topics are great, but over time your brain will only remember the new information and eventually forget the old information. Being able to go back to old information for a review will ensure that you remember everything you need to remember.
5. Don’t overwhelm yourself with colors
Being organized with your notes is good! But having too many different colored pens or highlighters in your notes can get stressful and confusing. Having to focus on changing pens every paragraph or getting out more highlighters during a lecture will distract you from actually learning even though you are taking notes. Being able to take fast organized notes while also listen to what the professor is saying is a good balance. Stick with one other pen and one highlighter.
-One black pen for standard note taking (general information)
-One red or blue pen (definitions)
-One yellow highlighter. (dates and names)
6. Notes Index
If your notes have pages and pages of topics, I would make a separate page for an index. This way, you will be able to find a certain topic faster. Wasting time on finding something in your notes will not be necessary with an index.
7. Flashcards
You should make new flashcards for every new topic. That way you will have flashcards to refer to in class, and you can study on the go. It will be easier to pull out your flashcards on the bus, waiting for class to start, and while you do homework.
8. Organize notes later
Being able to sit there and listen while taking notes is important. It is more important than having pretty notes or to worry about having very organized notes. Write down what you need to write down and rewrite it later on.
Day 02/100
Today I finished up some slideshow notes for Antropology and the outline for my first essay for my English class.
