what came first the chicken or the egg except it's "was this OC based off an alter i didn't know about or is that alter an introject of said OC"
Headmate 1: I wanna watch this show
Headmate 2: I want to start learning sign language
Headmate 3: Well I want to learn new art mediums
Headmate 4: NO, practicing our digital art!
Headmate 5: We should really be finding a job
Headmate 6: Hey remember those phone calls you need to make

cringe system culture is having 5 introjects of the same (not a) guy but slightly different each time. it feels like a spot the difference in here. we all hang out in the middle of our headspace void and chat its fun in here
Cringe System Culture Is
We have a separate sort of pocket dimension we call fragspace that's full of loose fragments, and that's generally where headmates form. They're not entirely mindless but they're relatively simple-minded and can generally be reduced to a personality trait or two. They are all managed by two people but it used to be one until we managed to get her to coax some fragments into forming an assistant for her. They're essentially waiting for a "foundation" to build on which is why we have so many introjects, so they kind of do take suggestions. I think it'd be more accurate to say it's an invitation? If I scrolled through a bunch of "build a sysmate" type posts we would probably get a ton of them.
Our original fragment manager is slowly going insane managing what are functionally a bunch of rowdy kids (from the little I've seen and heard at least) and we really need to strongarm her into taking another break... the last person to take over for her barely lasted a few hours.
Since they have basic personalities and tend to think out loud there's somewhat of a way to tell what kind of person they'll be. I remember her saying she stopped some from forming JD (Heathers) because their reasoning was wanting destruction and violence which isn't great.
Kind of wild to think most of us formed like that, since nobody remembers fragspace. Well, no one I've met anyway.
Questions for systems: What's something unique about your system?
I did it two months ago, but I was afraid to show it
Exactly like man I don't like Harris either, and if it was safe to then I would not vote for her. That being said, anyone who knows basic mathematics should understand how splitting the vote works against the people's best interest. So I get it, I really do. But trust me, you are not proving anything by voting third party. Even if you were, now is not the time. If you really want to prove that point, then you can still be loud about how much this fucking sucks! You can say it's bullshit because it is! You can demand that the system changes and advocate for ranked choice voting so you don't have to do this again, but this is where we are right now. Bite the bullet with the rest of us.
Overriding anon's opinion by saying GET THAT BAG PUKI
God just open an ebay account or something, I didn't follow you to be advertised to
A. I never requested you to follow me, so I don't OWE you any fucking funny post quota. You do not own me, you little content-gobbling imp.
2. Everything I do is free, so if I wanna try selling something, you are free to not feel as if you're owed more content from me.

I need money, and we're all hobbyists, I wanna trade with other hobbyists. Ebay is informal and slow, and I have a big audience here that I can offer good mutual deals on - and have done just that many times in the past.
D. Once these lenses sell u don't need to worry about puki market any time soon.
Love your art! What's your shading process / any tips? I really like how vibrant it is
Thank you!! also sorry this is a long post
I usually start painting the character after I already have a background, super sketchy or with a placeholder (a photo usually), just so i know what colors to use
I fill the character with a color from the BG or a similar color and use the multiply blending mode
then i paint the lights on another layer with the "add glow" blending mode (i also pick the color depending on the bg).
I add another multiply layer for anything that needs to be darker, like stuff under the characters clothes
I paint a line with a saturated color between the lights and shadows, for example i added a bright red for the cape and light purple for their skin (? this is subsurface scattering, it doesnt happen on every surface but i like how it looks so i use it on everything lol.
Then i paint the lineart a similar color to each part of the character or you can paint it all red and use multiply
that's basically it
some tips (these are just things that work for me)
I think is better to paint the lights, not the shadows. it helps to see the shapes of the thing/character you're drawing better (its what i did with lambert ⬆️)
Draw backgrounds, i think it makes every drawing look more interesting and its easier to decide the lighting for the character, if you dont want to draw anything detailed you can paint something simple and blur it
i really recommend to start with a thumbnail, experiment with colors, perspective, composition, etc. before actually starting the drawing thumbnails of this post
this tip is something that everyone has heard before but use references, real life references like photographs for perspective and lighting, 3d models for anatomy and perspective, paintings to see how other artists stylize objects, bgs or characters. use references for everything
this tip is super important for me: check the values of your drawing, (lower the saturation, with the lineart hidden) if it isnt readable/ doesnt look good in black and white it most likely wont look good with colors (this depends on artstyle and personal preference tho)
