My middle school ELA teacher has her own mini library in her classroom. When she introduced the book to her class when she added it in. My mind said, “READ IT READ IT READ IT!”

And then I read it, and I loved it!

Then came the time when a homophobic kid in my class wanted to read it, so I came up with as many excuses to keep it in my possession. I told her she could read it online, that I was still reading it, I was rereading it. And eventually she sorta forgot about it? It was wild. I was worried they would complain to the teacher about how it was inappropriate or maybe even destroy the book.

There’s one more update before the book comes out. I’d like to do a NEW powerpoint primer that tells people about the comic??? But so much has changed. QUESTION FOR  YOU: - how did you find out about the comic - what drew you in???
