what if he hadn’t? what if he had kept his mouth shut like dustin told him to do? then max would be okay, not in a bed, wires strapped to her body and needles pushed into her veins, arms and legs in caskets. but lucas had asked. he invited max into this world and now here were the consequences and lucas can’t bring himself to know who he hates more, vecna for doing this to max… or himself, for the same reason.

You ever think about Will being grateful that El saved him more for the sake of his loved once than for himself? Like he’s just so grateful that his loved ones don’t have to grieve him and would give the (his) entire world to El for that alone.

Even if he sometimes wishes El had never saved him at all, and that everyone would have been better off without him anyway so he keeps himself out of the narrative as much as possible. A ghost in his own life. Because that way everyone can move on from him instead of carrying his death with them forever.

always thinking about how season five is going to end with mike and will hugging everyone goodbye before hopping into their car and driving off into the sunset together and how mike's going to glance over att will who's going to be painted in the most gorgeous golden light (like he always is from mike's point of view) and feel his heart beat steadily in his chest because he never thought they would ever get to this point but he's so grateful that they did because he loves that boy more than anything and he knows that will loves him just as much and just as they leave hawkins behind them mike's going to reach out and lace their fingers together and they'll share the softest smile and then it'll pan over to the 'see you soon' sign as the background music fades in and the screen will fade to black and that's the end like i am constantly thinking about this
