I keep seeing posts about how in WYFILWMA, Penelope sings “waiting” 8 times in accordance with how many sagas she has been waiting for our main man Odysseus to return home.

Unless I’m going crazy, Penelope only says “waiting” at the end 7 times.

I even looked up the lyrics am I just losing it???

Watched The Return. Movie looked gorgeous and the actors were good, but dear god I haven’t been this disappointed in a while.

Finally going to watch The Return. I’d like to formally apologize for the person I will become after those near two hours of film.

Odysseus really was sick and tired of Polites haunting the narrative huh?

I can only really listen to the first three Ithaca songs in full because the last two absolutely shattered every fiber of my being.

Spoilers technically⚠️

I know that Odysseus cries A LOT in the Odyssey, which is fine and ok and very healthy, but it also something hits different in Epic where we see Odysseus really lets out all of his relief and tears when he embraces Telemachus and ESPECIALLY Penelope.

Tumbles I need someone to jump start my brain.

In “I Can’t Help but Wonder”, Odysseus has a line where he goes “today you’re not alone”, and he has a little partial riff where he holds that “alone”.

Is that supposed to be a shortened version of the “Telemachus” riff or am I just losing it???

Ithaca saga spoilers technically⚠️

There’s something about those arrow sounds that just make me…really happy. Like yeah, buddy, you’re an archer. Mess ‘em up, bud. It’s like the reverse of the Polyphemus club splats.

Current lineup for favorite Ithaca Saga songs follows in this order if anyone wants to hear my opinion (if not that’s ok too)

Also spoilers technically⚠️

1. The Challenge - it’s just good. I have no comments, Penelope slays.

2. Odysseus - The suitor slaughter was done very well. It properly encapsulated how 100% done Odysseus is

3. Would You Fall In Love With Me Again - I sobbed hysterically. Need I say more.

4. I Can’t Help But Wonder - sobbed the first time. It’s a beautiful moment between father and son, and hey, welcome back, Athena.

5. Hold Them Down - Ayron slayed with that song but it’s really REALLY dark (which is good they didn’t stray away from the source material)

Please note I loved every song, it’s just that some of these will be out on endless repeat more than others.

So….hows everyone doing after the watch party?

Why is everyone so obsessed with breaking Telemachus’ bones. Boys, get more creative if you’re gonna threaten a prince, come on😂

Everyone who either has listened to the Ithaka Saga already or who plans on listening to it PLEASE DO NOT GIVE SPOILERS. Despite the Odyssey being a well known tale, we don’t know Jorge’s plans with the saga. Please please PLEASE be considerate.

As said by Mico on his twitch stream (heavily paraphrased):

it's fine if you want to wait for the livestream to listen to the Ithaca Saga so you can experience it as it was meant with the visuals, BUT it would mean a lot to Jay during all of this to see the fan support in the streams.

So please stream the songs even if you don't want to listen to them yet! Let them play on 1% volume if you're going to wait, but do not stream on mute, your streams will not count if the volume is all the way off!

the situation sucks but its out of everyone's hands; the least we can do as fans is continue to show our support and love by streaming when they're out!
