I Have A Really Strong Headcanon That Kim Dokja Did Fully Have Friends Or At Least People Who Were Trying

i have a really strong headcanon that kim dokja did fully have friends or at least people who were trying to be his friend pre-scenarios but his self hatred fully led to a goob from meet the robinsons situation where he ignored everyones attempts to get close to him. like i do think he generally had it really rough and didn't have many people who tried to reach out to him but going off of his interactions with yoo sangah we can assume that there were at least a few who he was dodging like bullets. kim dokja fully risked his job to move security cameras so they wouldnt catch yoo sangah pranking their bosses and she knows this and likes him because of it but he's still ah yoo sangah that perfect stranger why would she ever talk to me any time she tries to make conversation. you cant tell me there werent other similar situations throughout his life. it's just all those times there wasn't an apocalypse to keep them together and kim dokja succeeded in pushing them away

A series of black and white fanarts for Omniscient reader's viewpoint - a set of illustrations with text on them combining into a single monologue.
"Sometimes, when i look at your peaceful, sleeping face..."
Kim Dokja's hospital ward from the epilogue, light and empty. It's space is broken up by frames of Yoo Sangah entering it at a different, later time in the day - her surroundings are dark.

"I wonder if you felt claustrophobic..."
Yoo Sangah's hand is gently caressing Kim Dokja's crumbling, sleeping face. On the opposite side of her hand, he is caged up by many books. Under them, overwhelmed by the word "claustrophobic" in huge font, is Kim Dokja's young, small figure.

"In mother's gift"
Young Kim Dokja, surrounded by deep black space. A single hand is emerging from above, taking a glowing knife from his hands.

"A generously painted lack of sin"
Two bloodied palms are being cradled by another pair of hands, yet unbloodied.

"Was then our world's end just a new beginning"
It's a scene from right before the first scenario, of Kim Dokja and Yoo Sangah on the train. Kim Dokja's face is hidden behind a shadow with only one of his eyes visible. He seems to be smiling, nervous and excited to an unhealthy degree. Behind him, Yoo Sangah seems shocked and worried by the way he acts.

"Or were you aching for a newer cage"
Yoo Sangah is watching Kim Dokja's back, who, in turn, is watching Yoo Joonghyuk's starry silhouette.

"The one displaying all your crimes in public"
A closer portrait of Yoo Joonghyuk. He seems hostile, with his curly bangs hiding part of his face. Above his head there are many bleeding black stars, combining into a black mass right above him.

"The one that left all those around you with no choice"
A similar composition of Kim Dokja looking at the viewer as an Enemy of the story. He seems joyful and excited, his hands wide in a theatrical gesture, but his bones broken by the snaking up outer god's appendages.

"But think of you as something cruel, evil"
He is now almost entirely consumed by those appendages, still smiling happily - a single white spot in the black mass.

"Or, maybe, you just wanted"
Several frames of visitors at Kim Dokja's ward. On the left is Han Sooyoung, on the right - Yoo Joonghyuk, both looking down, dejected. Between them is Yoo Sangah opening a book with an empty expression.

"To have a single reader for yourself".
She starts reading now, casting light over Kim Dokja's body instead of a shade.

"Aware of the crimes you have committed".
Her hand rests on the book's page. Between the pages, acting as a bookmarl, is a shining white knife. The page where the text sits, is bloody.

"Yet loving you despite your lack of grace".
Yop Sangah is throwing her hands around surprised Kim Dokja after hopping timelines.

"Alas, you never found out"
At the bottom of the page there is Kim Dokja's back. He is in his Demon king of salvation transformation with his black wings spread wide.
Above him, upside down there are many frames of his companions remembering him. There is Han Sooyoung holding a lollipop, Jung Heewon talking to Uriel about something, the kids watching a little squid swimming in a tank, Yoo Sangah walking along the bookcases, Lee Hyunsung looking at a bullet shell and Yoo Joonghyuk asking Kim Dokja to go back to Earth.

"That you were loved as just a liar in distress".
A composition similar to the previous page, but now on the bottom is Han Sooyoung with her legs crossed, sitting on the floor next to piles of filled pages, writing. Behind her back there is Yoo Joonghyuk hugging a space helmet, looking up, at the top of the page. There, above them, is a little white window in the starry sky. That is a window into the train, showing a head with horns - Kim Dokja's head.

An 8 page digital comic for Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, drawn in black pencil and colored in with a flat, watercolor texture. The comic is monochrome with scanned pieces of paper incorporated in the work. Lines of text are dispersed through the comic.

Page 1: A white backgound. A pair of hands is typing on a keyboard. An IV is connected to the right hand. On the monitor, a snippet from Ways of Survival is visible, reading: "Yoo Joonghyuk stood before the vast, endless calamity pouncing on him and spoke, "Until I witness the end of the scenario, I shall never give up. That's why... You shouldn't give up, either."

The text of the comic reads: "Live. Even if you must crawl your way out of the grave."

Page 2: A white background. The text continues: "and even if you must burn every page of this book to keep you warm."

A young Kim Dokja sits on his chair, his back facing the viewer. In front of him sits his mother, Lee Sookyung, in a prison uniform. Only part of her face is visible through a tinted screen. The rest of the screen is covered with pieces of paper, all including snippets about the characters of Ways of Survival.

Page 3: A white background. A young Dokja types away at an old computer. Below him, an older Dokja is wearing business clothes and typing at a newer computer. Both are visible from a top-view, and only the tops of their heads and their arms are visible. They are positioned such that they're facing each other. Young Dokja has a blanket of paper on his shoulders, while older Dokja has a coat of paper hung on the chair behind him. Both pieces of paper include snippets from ORV. For young Dokja, it is about the characters of Ways of Survival. For older Dokja, it is about his guilt for reading this story.

Between the two monitors the text of the comic reads: "You can consume us to sustain you through the winter and we will still be there when spring arrives."

Page 4: A white background fades into black. A tree branch and leaves cover the top of the screen. The branch and leaves are all made of pieces of paper. Behind the leaves stands an older Dokja, wearing his white coat. He is looking at something with a horrified expression on his face. The background fades to black. At the bottom of the page, the outline of young Dokja is drawn in white pencil. He is hugging his knees to his chest and looking forward. In front of him stand the characters of Ways of Survival (Uriel, Hyunsung, Jihye, and Namwoon) drawn in a loose, sketchy style. They are all looking at him, and Uriel and Hyunsung are leaning over as if to speak to him.

The text above these sketches reads: "The moment you love a story it becomes immortal,"

Page 5: A black background. At the top of the page the text continues: "Neverending." The rest of the page is covered in a piece of paper with the top cut out to resemble grass. On top of the grass sits an older Dokja drawn in white pencil. He is on his hands and knees, sobbing while covering his face. Next to him, the figures of the Forgotten Ones (the Outer Gods) are shown as blob-like shapes cut out of paper. They are made of repeating texts, such as: "Kim Dokja" "Who are you" "You know us" and "Give me". One of the blobs is reaching out to the sobbing Dokja.

The rest of the page is the scanned piece of paper. It is filled with snippets of the Forgotten Ones' memories. They are the last words the companions spoke to Joonghyuk in his past rounds. The text fades in opacity as you go down, and the contents become more and more scrambled. At the bottom, two words are bolded and outlined in pencil, representing the text of the comic: "Take it."

Page 6: A black background. The scanned page from Page 5 is now zoomed out to be a square on the top half of the page, with some creases visible. Some words are circled in black pencil and shaded in, colored white on the black background. They read: "Take all of it".

Below, the piece of paper is further zoomed out. It is folded into some sort of origami shape.

Page 7: A black background. A continuation of page 6. The piece of paper is gradually zoomed out, folded further and further with a shape resembling a spiral at its center.

Final page, page 8: A black background fades into white. At the bottom of this page the final product of the folding is shown: a paper rose. Dokja's hands are cupping the flower. The final line of text of the comic reads: "We don't mind." /END ID
