It's subjective to me. To some people, yes, to others, no. For me specifically, though, I don't look like what I find attractive but It doesn't matter that much to me because I like how I look

One thing I really don’t like in apocalyptic fiction is the heavy reliance on cars (not you, Mad Max, you’re the exception) and other motorized crafts with animals being a secondary afterthought in terms of transportation and labor. Like, gasoline expires. It degrades. And the motorways would be a fucking nightmare if there was an event that caused somewhat sudden mass human death. Horses would be able to weave around cars and onto the shoulder and also through deer trails and smaller paths. And the upkeep on horses is much easier to do without electricity and complex machinery than cars. You can learn to forge a horseshoe/oxshoe from recycled metal but making a rubber tire from scratch as one person would be nearly impossible. And you can eat a beast of burden once it reaches the end of its working life, it probably won’t taste good but it is nutritious. You can’t shoot your car and make a nutritious broth from its bones when the engine block cracks.

it is incredibly frustrating to see the non-response from westerners to what is arguably the worst natural disaster in recent memory. when the ukraine-russia war broke out, it was on everyone's blogs. everyone--at least on my dash--was trying to spread awareness of the humanitarian crisis. but now?

fucking crickets.

absolutely nothing.

this earthquake has already claimed 20k confirmed lives. it has only been 5 days. most wrecks have not been excavated yet.

we need all the help we can get, but not a single fucking person is doing anything to help spread the message. people who proudly put the ukrainian flag in their display names or in their bios are nowhere to be seen now. the influencers youtubers and tiktok micro-celebrities who shared donation posts and ukrainian refugee testimonials daily are dead silent now. why? why do you only care when the people dying are somewhat like you? do we need to be whiter to deserve your attention? or more christian? do we not deserve your energy as is? are we, turks and syrians, not humans?

im so fucking sorry if donation posts don't fit your blog's aesthetic or if the news are just so fucking draining for you. every single one of you motherfuckers living in the west should be ashamed of yourselves for how differently you are treating us versus how you treated ukrainians when the war broke out.

if this happened in any western country you'd all be making infographics on how to donate or help.

Tumblr, I come to you as a woman on the verge of fulfilling her destiny. Thanks to a viral poll by @relientk, the newest meme on Tumblr is vanilla extract, specifically the act of using too much of it. Pure vanilla extract is, of course, expensive and also strong in small amounts. Who among us has that much vanilla extract on hand and is foolish enough to attempt this?

Me.

For personal reasons, I have a lot of vanilla extract in my apartment. It was here before the meme, and it will be here after. I had all the ingredients for the horrible poll cake except for milk, so I went out and bought some milk. It is three in the morning and very cold outside. Why am I doing this now instead of waiting for the poll to finish? Two reasons: the first being how fickle the internet in burning through memes, and the second being that five days gives my better judgement enough time to convince me not to do this.

Will God stop my sinful hands before the cake makes it into the oven? Let's find out!
