I did look in to it a bit and your not wrong but it dose seem a little inconsistent between movies and comics, like if we take all the comic statements yautja senses are crazy good. being able to see infrared naturally weather it washes out normal colors or not, (could very well just depend on the sun and if its natural light or not ) and to quote the avp wiki and central (i really wish they posted sources more but it gets the gist across) "olfactory system. This system, comparable to that of certain Earthly creatures such as insects or crabs, okay then bugs and crabs smell with antenna the closest thing yautja have to antenna is there dreads makes sense cos the dreads have blood flow in a lot of comic art when they are cut so if we low ball it to the best earth has to offer and don't even scale it up to dread size we got the " Giant male silk moths may have the best sense of smell in the world. They can smell a female's perfume nearly 7 miles (11 kilometers) away. " as for hearing "Coupled with their acute hearing, which can detect the faintest of sounds," (avp central again for that one ) kinda vague but lets put that at heart beat, using the movie predators with the super predators as a rough example. so combine all of those and a yautja has senses comparable to daredevil for the most part and that's crazy cos you can take it beyond that and make some assumptions like the little quills they have could act like spiders hair and sensing air pressure and movement and scaling up the sense of smell to account for the dread size and number of them compared to bug antenna sorry been thinking about this since making the original post and just been wanting to nerd out about it a little. also just a side not i hate that he uses "oomans" cos the jungle hunter can clearly make H sounds when he says " what the hell are you " just a pet peeve

I'm not really happy with this i am way to out of practices, especially doing colours and backgrounds. this all just came from me noticing that Yautja can see the colours of the filters in the bio masks heat and other vision types, but with the bio mask off its all just blown out shades of red, so my thinking is they can see the full colour spectrum but the IR light overlaps and washes out all other colours. did they need to be in a lesbian relationship... not really, but i did it anyway and fuck it one of them is trans HAHAHAH (damn my bi monster fucker brain making self insert OCs)

just getting some ideas out of my head for my OC clan some ancient Greek yautja. athena and zeus are still around today as clan elders and Medusa is the granddaughter and inherited the name medusa has a micro dart launcher built in to her bio mask, with a chemical that upon contact calcifies flesh turning it to bone, she likes her trophies to still have faces. tho the chemicals can be swapped out for the normal yautja acids if need be shy, likes to stay hidden and at range if she can, has never won a hand to hand combat sparing match during training, tho has the longest undetected stealth and infiltration streak amongst her generation in the clan, is often sent on gear retrieval and clean up hunts .

Athena, the typical yautja but with a bit more of a motherly side, will make you train for hours but will also cook you dinner and and make sure you rest up enough and get a good sleep

zeus, hes a big old dude, the oldest in the clan by far doesn't really have the endurance to hunt anymore (can and will lift a car to show hes "still got it" ), will shoot at uninvited space craft entering his clans territory... old man with a shotgun sitting on the porch kinda vibes but a yautja with a plasma cannon ( thats a cannon yautja weapon in the comics btw) and has the best stories. unfortunately dose take after the name sake in some not so good ways as well.

working on "wholesome" big gay yautja x human mini comic just cos the yautja fandom here is horny as hell but its pride month so why not join in little :P also as i am mid cosplay build for this Yautja drawing them actually really helps me get a vibe for poses and personality i will try to convey when i cosplay them also need to do something for my VTM characters as well soon

welp i have a predator OC now ive actually been working on a cosplay for her for over a month now and planing a Yautja cosplay for over 2 years. this is actually the first time ive really thought about her armour this is still only rough but i am really liking the vibe of it all also i really need to do a modern casual look for her cos Yautja in human outfits is just cool to me

DESIGN COMMENTARY

Lust is a hollow being given shape only by the many hands creating their form. A floating red cloth emerges from the back of their hollow head and drifts enticingly in search to confine another being; their desire is destructive, blind, and always seeking another. Their headpiece of hands resembles the sun. Physical connection can provide true warmth but their crown is of a cold and luxurious gold. It does not have the true comfort of the sun, only the shape to signal a misleading intent. Two hands cup the hollow of their head, a constant reach into an unfulfilled void. A row of holden eyes wraps around their neck and adorns their chest; their sight is merely surface level, as cold and detached as their crown. Lust does not have feet that walk the ground due to their desire to never settle for anything. They carry a sword with engraved eyes. I just think swords are cool.

You know what I can't stand about VtM?

Camarilla apologism.

The Camarilla are monsters with rules, and they will use those rules to justify slavery and exploitation and abuse and control and murder, for ever. And people tell me these are the good guys. They're absolutely not. The Beast is sitting down at table and wearing a pretty dress and her table manners are ever so lovely and her dinner conversation sparkles, but you're still getting eaten alive. And you have to love it. They have made you love it. Nothing in their rulebook says they can't.

I have never actually run a Camarilla game. Not properly. I think it's because that level of authoritarianism makes me urge. It's weird, because I love Dark Ages Vampire with all my soul and those are the same rules, but Dark Ages Vampire doesn't have the "default sect" phenomenon, the expectation that you the players are going to be aligned with this side and therefore that's the right side because you the players are on it.

Woobifying the Sabbat and apologising for the Camarilla makes the real default protagonists of V1 - the Anarchs - even more toothless than they already are, burdened by their writers' failure to imagine a way out of the status quo (not blaming them for that, progressive politics are hard and it's only a bloody game, innit?). And as the game drifted more and more into Camarilla-as-default-vs-Sabbat-the-Anarchs-are-also-there... I don't know where I'm going with this, I was just confronted by the monstrosity of the Camarilla before I'd even had a cup of tea this morning and it's great horror but don't ever tell me they're the good ones. Don't you dare.

Society has progressed past the need to play as a Ventrue let me play a Tzimisce.

so i could lie and say something like the colour and more complete the images represent how free she feels in that moment and while it fits its kinda just a happy accident and i just wanted to test colours for the beast forms and transformation effects but here is Sabrina first time using Protean beast forms, shes locked to bat and wolf cos shes a tzimisce but those are the forms she would have chosen anyway also her first magic transformation, well at least one that's not body horror also i still don't know if she can here her music in the beast forms, cos clothes and stuff disappear and come back dose the music keep playing in her ears magically or is it just gone ?

so ive been working on that first time using Protean sequence for my Vamp OC Sabrina, and this is my first time drawing a bat that wasn't just a black shape in the background for scale on a landscape. and i blame all the bat Astarion art for why shes so cute, i haven't even played Baldur's Gate III but fan art of him is everywhere and he's perfect

This kind of helps describe my preference towards the Sabbat rather well. Ultimately, while they are the traditionally “Bad Guy Group”, the books that got put out for the longest time helped expand upon what the Sabbat was and gave them a proper culture and ideology. They really aren’t the nigh-mindless murderhobos that the writers seem to be pushing nowadays, they are a people unto themselves, who have accepted what they are and built something to help ease the burden of unlife on a personal scale. In fact it’s quite annoying that a lot of the traits that made them unique and set them apart from the other sects was eventually given to the Anarchs for the fifth edition, especially since it makes the latter a sort of Sabbat-lite while the current Sabbat is sinking closer into The Usual Adversaries trope. Considering Werewolf’s current incarnation allows for the redemption and possible playability of a Black Spiral Dancer, it’s kind of amusing at the almost arbitrary designation of who’s irredeemable and thus unplayable and who isn’t these days.

i couldn't get her to look good in my "style" with the original template so i just used the pose. might spend some time trying to do it in a more anime style with the template

So ive started thinking about Sabrina's extend family recently, through the sire connection and being actually adopted by Mina and vlad. but the first of her family im roughing out, Luiminta a 12th gen tzimisce who is focused on Koldunic sorcery and is very good at it, tho shes isn't very good at any physical disciplines or Vicissitude a traditionalist but Sabrina has got her kinda addicted to the internet its all quite in the village till you start hearing Lumi in the distance singing meme songs, Red Flags by Tom Cardy was a real problem around Tzimisce that can actually make human centipede
