Vampire the Masquerade Character

Hi! So about a year ago I was in a VtM game, the first one I've played, and had a really fun time. I took EXTREMELY detailed notes from the game, and was thinking about sharing them since I wrote them in a narrative style that should be easy enough to follow as a story, and I was thinking about sharing those notes here for others to read and enjoy.

As a start, I figured I'd share the backstory of the character I played for the game, Sophia Blanchard. She was intended to be a silly blonde face character, and she was based heavily on Charlotte from Princess and the Frog. However, by the end of the game she ended up going full Sansa Stark lmao

Here is her backstory:

Sophia Blanchard was the third daughter to a moderately wealthy family of the American South, who moved to live a lavish life amongst the glitz and glamor of the big cities of the northeast.

She was a socialite, the epitome of the ‘flapper girl' of the 1920s, who danced through life without a care in the world. Until she danced her way into the arms of Russel Fontaine. Their love was passionate- consuming. He promised her an eternity at his side, if she promised to belong to him and him alone. 

Being dead did nothing to impede her social life; if anything, she partied later into the night than ever. But things with Russel weren’t always pretty. Over time he became more demanding, domineering, and cruel. He judged her constantly, and was always quick to remind her that without him she was nothing. But she still had the sequins of new love in her eyes, and still loved him despite his flaws. It wasn't until Russel tossed her aside, for someone of higher standing and wealth for him to exploit, that her party came to a halt. 

At first, she did everything she could to win him back, then began to threaten him and his new belle, before finally resorting to pleading before he banished her completely from his sight. She spent a few decades in a listless haze, barely maintaining an existence. She fled her New York apartment to try and get away from the city she once loved but soon came to resent, resigning herself to a more quiet life in the city of Boston. 

However, the last few years she has been making a much needed comeback. Sophia wants to prove that she can stand on her own. It was fortunate that she had the foresight to maintain some of her wealth, and has remade her way into both human and vampire society, using her gift of gab to gain a foothold.

Mercy stared at the creature before them, the voices in their head practically humming with excitement, whispering things that could, will, won't and can't happen in their head. The creature makes clicking noises as it stares at her.

The grip of the hand around their throat was tight but not suffocating as it seemed to look her up and down almost deciding something, their green eyes dilated as their toothy maw showed itself

Alva, nocker, run away from her parents after Chrysalis. Was picked up by an old samedi vampire who later became her parental figure and probably role model.

improper use of the tzimisce blood form definitely, but a fun "prank" for sure, gotta love powers that make you near indestructible being used for other things :P needed to draw Sabrina having a little fun after the breakdown she's been going through in game atm

so while i joke about Sabrina calling a oppsie after be manipulated in to killing 6 caitiffs, shes actually really fucked up by it. not only was it the first time she has killed anyone,(knocked vamps in to torpor yes but never killed ) she was manipulated and used as a weapon for someone else's enjoyment, and the fact she could have avoided killing them just by pulling her hits and having more self control. but in this moment hearing the voice of her "farther " be it in her own mind or through sorcery him asking directly, the one thing that would hurts her the most "are you upset because you killed them... or because you enjoyed it?" (hes trying to help.... but is bad at it) and she doesn't know and now its worse so much worse

canonically when ever someone calls Sabrina a furry she hits them with "NYAN" while shapeshifting paws and the :3 face (totally not a abuse of her vicissitude ability )

Sabrina's first time using her blood form unfortunately kinda traumatizing for Blair getting your partner to a state of bliss so deep they melt is meant to be metaphorical!

Sabrian calls for a oopsie

Well Sabrina was manipulated in to true deathing 4 caitiffs and torpor-ing 2 others in today's VTM V20 game Adrian a child vampire (PC) and little psycho ( Sabrina was not informed of said psycho-ness ) came up to her missing a finger and crying saying a group of caitiffs attacked him a few alleys away from the groups haven. after Adrian pointed them out sabrina went to work, ( shes dose 8 lethal damage per hit so with these caitiffs only having 3 stamina to soak she one shot most of them) it was a blood bath hearts torn out decapitations, with only one hit landing on Sabrina for 2 bashing damage it was a one sided slaughter it wasn't till the last one that she asked questions, and realized she was baited in to attacking them to feed Adrian cos hes got the damn Methuselah’s Thirst flaw! (also he removed his own finger earlier and gave it to a ghould lion our group now has cos poor impulse control was apparently the theme off the session ) so now Sabrina has 4 bodies that she hopes the dawn will deal with (this took place 40 minutes before sunrise btw ) she would have helped him get blood regardless but she would have been selective about it at least and found some asshole sabbat and not just random caitiffs, well she knows for next time now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

so Sabrina is calm collected and outwardly monstrous, but follows a strict honor code.

so reversed would be loud, rash and inwardly monstrous with no sense of honor and will 100% stab you in the back.

reverse Sabrina would we such a problem and get the party killed the second it benefited her.

"tragic" backstories

who would have thought drawing the key moments of a OC's life when they have a "tragic" backstory would mean you gotta draw the traumatic moments, like i didn't have to make it this bad for them. but no had to be scaring and nightmare inducing for them to build "character" writing it out is one thing (done that a bunch of times ) but having to sit and draw it just hits so much harder for me. but no i had to make a OC who's life got better after dying and becoming a vamp cos no happy well adjusted person likes to be a undead monster apparently

VTM backstory comic

as ive said a few times i plan on making a backstory comic for my VTM oc Sabrina but I'm unsure how to start it. i want to grab peoples interest with the first few pages, but i don't want to do the action start then cut to flashbacks opening cliche my main thought at the moment is just single panel images of key moments of her life as a kind of prologue, till it gets to something interesting to start the more narrative parts of her story. just writing this out has kinda solidified that plan in my mind a bit more, but im still not 100% sold on it.

realized i have only ever drawn this form once before an i don't really show how scary she can be enough.

also she hates this form cos she has a fear of not being able to get her face right when changing back
