Can we stop arguing over whether keep inventory on Minecraft is cheating or not? Who the fuck cares if you're cheating or not in a video game? It's not even a competitive game. It's so stupid seeing grown adults get mad because someone doesn't want to lose everything they got while playing. I've literally seen people send death threats over a SANDBOX GAME! Everyone shut up and just play how you want.
Me on tumblr.
I was in Minecraft, just started a new world. Spawned right next to a large structure like some kinda dungeon building. It was surrounded by iron fences and had tinted windows. I could see a ton of hostile mobs inside. I made plans to set up some kinda pit trap around the building so I could just break a wall and release them all into the trap to kill them. There was a new entity in the game, which was a large pink egg that would float and move around. You could capture the egg by surrounding it with blocks. It hatched into a Spritzee eventually. You could tame it with flowers and it had the effect of luring mobs with its scent.
Baldwin is a cool name. It is the opposite of Hairloss
which is more culturally significant the renaissance or youtube shows created by 12-17 year olds playing with children’s toys.
I would make the best Apperture Science test subject because I have, like, a monkey brain that makes it so when I see a puzzle I physically cannot help but try and solve it. A little while ago, I was playing a game with a puzzle where you had to move a bunch of boxes around so you could reach a door on the other side of the room, and I didn't even notice the door for the longest time I just saw boxes I could move around in a confined space and went "oooo box puzzle weeeeeeeee" and started pushing things around without having any idea of what the end goal was supposed to be. Like, I wouldn't even need the incentive of "cake" I would be content with my reward being more puzzles for all eternity.
I just love starting off a new video game by wandering around a small, open, flat area for thirty minutes because I received the first fetch quest and immediately forgot what the character asked for. Just... in one ear, out the other. And it took me way too long to find where the quest log was, despite it literally being on the first page of the pause menu. And also despite almost immediately receiving a tutorial for collecting the resource I needed because it's right there when you first enter the area. Nope, I just... ran around... for thirty minutes...
Off to a great start! :)
This is the fucking reason for my disorder
i find it so interesting how people act like "critically examining a piece of media" is the opposite of "enjoying that piece of media." rip to you but i actually find it really enjoyable and compelling to dissect and think through the art i engage with
