i can never make a blanket statement of “i recommend this movie/book/show/game”. what i CAN do is tell you the appeal of it, and what personal preferences one would have that would make them like it, and let you decide for yourself if you’re the right audience for this movie/book/show/game
I gotta be honest, I don't understand why any video game would ever include licensed music. What is the benefit? Why wouldn't you just make new original songs for the game?
"Oh that's expensive" SO IS PAYING A LICENSE FOR A RL POP SONG?? And it's a much better longterm investment since you can sell an OST that way, the license won't ever expire and impact your ability to rerelease the game, it doesn't negatively impact streamers who are basically your marketing. Why use licensed music instead of original songs?
I! *flips table* LOVE! *kicks wall* VIDEO GAMES! *chugs carton of orange juice* THAT! *throws lamp* EXPERIMENT! *sets couch on fire* WITH! *dumps whole bag of jelly beans into mouth* DIFFERENT! *stabs knife into coffee table* STYLES! *does backflip* OF! *gently moves potted plant* GAMEPLAY! *knocks over bookshelf* TO! *rips stuffing out of pillow* TELL! *topples trash can* THEIR! *breaks window* STORIES!!!! *explodes*
you should get the orange soda, it’s amazing
Why is Smart Shuffle even an option? If I wanted to listen to songs that aren't on my playlist I'd listen to songs that aren't on my playlist. Who gave you the right to come into my nice, organized, perfectly curated playlists and fill it with random crap?
no you have to contribute to your fandom if you don't want it to die. most fandoms die because people say 'it's so sad watching the fandom die when the hype dies' without doing anything about it. I'm not saying you have to push out 100k word slow-burn fic, I'm not saying you have to make fan art or gif sets or edits or anything. I'm just saying we as a community should contribute to our fandom if we don't want it to die, and by contributing, I'm talking about giving kudos, commenting on your favorite fics, reblogging your favorite art and just talking about your favorite characters. that's enough to keep a fandom alive. that's the most effective way to keep a fandom alive in my humble opinion.
fandoms die because people stop talking about it, fandoms die because people stop engaging with fan content once the hype is gone. what I'm saying is, mainstream media's hype may be gone, but our fandom can stay alive and thriving if us as a community don't let it die.
I wish all the time I could read or watch something for the first time again. I chase the thrill of having my mind blown and then long for it once I’ve experienced it because I can never do something for the first time twice.
I think one of the dumbest things people do is complain about video games not being “Hard Enough” for other people.
Can’t stand someone having fun? Having a good time? A good fun time playing a game?
I just love starting off a new video game by wandering around a small, open, flat area for thirty minutes because I received the first fetch quest and immediately forgot what the character asked for. Just... in one ear, out the other. And it took me way too long to find where the quest log was, despite it literally being on the first page of the pause menu. And also despite almost immediately receiving a tutorial for collecting the resource I needed because it's right there when you first enter the area. Nope, I just... ran around... for thirty minutes...
Off to a great start! :)
