I really needed this
My comfort character's are all just middle aged men who have never experienced a day of comfort in their lives.
Let's help Mohamad Smeer! :D
Everyone, today I'd like to highlight Mohamad Smeer's (@mohamadsmeer34) campaign.
Mohamad is a young man from Palestine. He is a medical student who is pursuing his education in Egypt. He is studying at Ain Shams University. He is on his first year there.
He began to study medicine because he wants to provide medical care to his people.
But ever since October 7th, Mohamad has lost contact with his family members.
Now he lives alone, away from home and family. His house has been destroyed. The future looks dark and uncertain.
But with your help, it will not be!
This fundraiser will serve to cover studying expenses. As written on his gofundme page, he promises to be transparent about the funds' use.
Donate if you can, but make sure to share! :D
$1,216 AUD/$12,000 AUD
(NOTE; The exchange rate is approximately 1 $ ≈ 1.5 AUD, 10$ ≈ 15. AUD, 100$ ≈ 150 AUD, 200$ ≈ 300 AUD and so on.)
OH MY GOD ARE YOU GLUED TO HIM
CANT YOU STAND LIKE EVEN A FEW CENTREMETRES AWAY FROM EACHOTHER
You may or may not have noticed that their split ends are actually drawn a bit differently from each other:
And this is even consistent in their HD Gallery sprites:
(there weren’t enough pixels for it to be consistent in their original gallery sprites lol)
So yeah, just a fun little design fact about the Hawthorne twins! :]
…
What to do with this information? I actually have a proposition!
I think in fanart, this detail could be used as a little shorthand to signify who is who, particularly when they’re switching places. Like if you’re making art of Iris posing as Dahlia, and don’t want to keep her hair black, or clarify 85 times in the description/tags “THIS IS IRIS NOT DAHLIA”, it could be a little way to show it’s her.
Idk, just something I do when I draw them. Have a nice day ^-^
Our children often say: "Stop the war - we are children - we want to live." But does anyone in the world hear his screams and respond to him? We live in a state of despair. This family has been living for nine months in a small tent no larger than 3 metres. Imagine spending every day, every night, and every moment in such cramped conditions. They need urgent support to rebuild our home and restore a sense of normalcy

In light of the war, another option is to replace the laughter of children who search for firewood instead of carrying books. Children who dreamed of a bright future, the war stole their childhood and dreams from them. We will never make it safe for them to return to their schools instead of to Tasdaq Square.
The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate as the occupying army reduces the safe zones, leading to the crowding of people into extremely tight spaces that lack the essentials of life. Individuals are living in dire conditions, with these places suffering from severe shortages of clean water, adequate food, and necessary healthcare.
The suffering of families is increasing, especially for children and the elderly, who are the most affected by these harsh conditions. Mothers strive to meet their families' needs amid a lack of resources, while fathers face significant challenges in securing a livelihood. These tragic circumstances, which lack the most basic necessities of life, urgently call for international action to ensure the protection of these civilians and to provide the humanitarian aid they desperately require.
We urge the global conscience to open channels of support and assistance, and to advocate for an end to this unbearable suffering. We must remember that every human being deserves to live with dignity and should have the opportunity to pursue their dreams in a safe and stable environment.
