Summary: All lines lead to the heart.
Arisu was taking the time to think. About your and Chishiya’s plan. About what you had both said on the roof. His mind wandered back to the Five of Spades game. How everytime he looked, the two of you always seemed to be watching him. Walking around the beach was no different. He always seemed to bump into one of you. Or he’d see Chishiya standing in the shadows, watching him and everyone else. Or he’d see just you. Maybe with a friend, but always with a smile on your face. He’d seen you talk to Usagi. Hugging her. Trying to make her feel welcome. But all he could think of was that he wanted to be the one you hugged. God, he was pathetic.
He remembered Karube’s laugh when they had headed back from that game. From the game that threw him into your and Chishiya’s twisted world. From the game that had marked him as yours. He had helped Karube back to Chota. Walking the streets, Arisu’s mind had been racing.
“I can’t believe it, dude. How did you go from no one wanting you to suddenly having a couple flirting with you?” It was the question of the week.
“Arisu. Be careful, okay. They might be cute, but we know nothing about those two. If you see them again, just be careful. If you somehow manage to pull the two, then I support you. Go for it. Just make sure you’re sure before you jump into anything. I don’t want you to get hurt, and I don’t want you getting used.”
The words run in his ears. The words Karube had said were spinning in his head. He knew the two of you wanted him for your plan to steal the cards. But in what way? How was he or Usagi supposed to play into something like that? He wanted to trust you both. He always felt his mind go fuzzy when he locked eyes with the quiet blonde. Or when he saw you smile and heard you say call him all those nicknames, it felt like his heart was beating only because you allowed it to.
No matter how much he wanted to convince himself that nothing was happening, he knew the opposite was true. You and chishiya wanted him for the plan and maybe for more. He wanted to dive headfirst into this. He wanted to swim in your attention. In your sweetness. He wanted to bathe in Chishiya’s stare and smirk. He found himself searching for you both whenever he wasn’t in his room. What were you doing to him? Arisu let out a groan as he flopped onto his bed.
—----------------------
You let out a soft hum as you looked in the mirror. Your hair was brushed and styled to perfection. You smoothed out the skirt of your newest bikini. Kuina had found it for you. She knew your love for the bikinis that had skirts. Your closet was filled with them. There wasn’t a day that went by in the Borerlands where you didn’t wear one. Today’s choice with a red and black one that had hints of yellow in it.
“It screams Queen of Hearts.” Chishiya told you from his spot on the bed behind you. He chuckled, seeing the smile on your face. You turned to face Chishiya and walked over to him. You happily sat on his lap. His hands immediately found your waist. Holding you close, not letting you fall.
“Does that mean I can get a crown?” You asked him curiously. Chishiya licked his bottom lip and shook his head lightly. Of course, that was what you wanted. A pretty crown to show your status as a queen. His Queen.
“If that’s what you want, Darling, I’ll make it happen.” He told you as the fingers of his right hand moved down to play with your skirt. You grinned at his words and shook your head softly.
“Well then. We simply must get you and our Prince a crown too.”
Chishiya let out a small sigh. “He hasn’t even said yes yet. We haven’t even asked him to be ours yet.” He tapped your hip gently. He was right, you knew he was right. Arisu was taking his time to think about whether he wanted in on the plan. If he did, then the two of you could change things up and try to see if he wanted to be with you both.
“He wants us. I know he does. Every time we see him, it’s like he’s looking for us.” That was something you were right about. Arisu didn’t even realise he had been doing it. Every time he walked around the Beach, he was always looking for you and Chishiya. Whenever he finally did see the two of you or even just one of you, he always felt himself relax. He always felt the need to approach the two of you, but his nerves got the best of him. So he never did.
You stood up and held a hand out to your boyfriend. “Come on. I think we should go for a walk before we meet up with Kuina.”
—----------------------
Arisu had finally left his room. He and Usagi had decided to split up so they could explore the beach more. Usagi had ended up finding Kuina. The two seemed to get along just fine. Poor Arisu walked around alone, like a lost puppy. His big, pretty eyes searched the beach. He looked at everyone he came across. He had thankfully managed to avoid being spotted by Niragi.
As he walked down a hallway, he noticed a couple walking hand in hand. His eyes widened slightly. It was you and Chishiya. His heart began to beat a little faster as he watched the two of you for a moment. Chishiya was smirking down at you, shaking his head. You had that same bright, happy and sweet smile on your lips that you always seemed to wear.
“Hi, Pet!” Arisu blinked. He had been staring, yet he somehow didn’t notice the two of you had stopped and were looking at him. He blushed lightly, realising he had been caught. He smiled slightly as Chishiya waved at him.
“Come here.” Chihsiya told him, his voice commanding and left no room for question. But Arisu wouldn’t have questioned him anyway. So, without thinking, Arisu began walking towards the couple that seemed to always be on his mind and in his dreams.
You happily gave him a tight hug. His hands snaked around your waist as he hugged you back. Your hands rested on his shoulders. You both pulled away after a moment. You pulled one hand away to grab Chishiya’s hand. Your other hand moved from Arisu’s shoulder down to his chest. Arisu was about to drop his hands from your waist, but Chishiya grabbed the wrist closest to him, keeping Arisu’s hand on your waist. Though Chishiya didn’t let go of his wrist.
“What are you two doing here?” Arisu asked after he had come back to his senses.
You let out a giggle. “We live here, silly. Did you forget that, pet?” You asked him teasingly, causing Arisu to blush and shake his head at your words.
“No, I didn’t mean that. I meant, where are you going?” He looked down at his feet for a moment before he felt a hand grab his jaw. Chishiya turned Arisu’s head to look at the two of you. The two males locked eyes briefly, and Arisu felt like he couldn’t breathe for a second. Why were his eyes so pretty?
“We were going for a walk. Would you like to join us?” Chishiya finally let go of Arisu’s jaw, though Arisu instantly missed the touch. Arisu nodded his head instantly. Of course, he wanted to join you both.
“Use your words.” Chishiya told him.
“Yes, please.” Arisu’s words were on the quiet side, almost shy. But you both still heard him. This had you smiling and Chishiya smirking.
“Good boy. Come on.” You held your hand out to him, and Arisu carefully walked to your other side, so that you were between him and Chishiya. He hesitated for a moment before grabbing your outstretched hand. Chishiya moved his hand from yours and placed an arm around your waist.
The three of you began to walk down the hallways. All close. It felt natural. The three of you together. You only hoped that the three of you spending time together like this would help Arisu decide faster that he wanted in on the plan. Chishiya had already started looking for a new sacrifice for the plan. He’d give Arisu a new role. Maybe put him on lookout with Kuina.
The fact was, you and Chishiya both wanted Arisu. You both wanted to pull him into your orbit and never let go. You both wanted to make him yours. To make him smile and protect him. To get him to submit and be the obedient puppy you knew he could be. You wanted him to look for you, rely on you both. To want you both as much as you two wanted him. It wasn’t the healthiest thing to want. To meet a guy and immediately want him on his knees for you and your love. But you knew that you and Chishiya could treat Arisu the way he deserved.
To love him, protect him, challenge him. To let him turn off his mind. To hold him when he crumbles. And whilst Chishiya wasn’t the most affectionate person around others who weren’t you, a part of him was willing to extend his emotions and touches to Arisu. But only if Arisu wanted him. Wanted him and you. Because you were a package deal. Everyone at the beach knew that. Kuina got to see some of your more intimate moments, which helped her to humanise Chishiya. It made you a target when Niragi was trying to piss your boyfriend off. However, the two of you knew how to deal with the idiot that was Niragi.
Arisu let out a happy sigh. “This is nice.” He couldn’t not say it. Because it was nice. It was nice walking with you both. Your hand was smaller than his, but it fit in his hand perfectly like a puzzle piece. Like the two of you were always meant to hold hands. It was the same for you and Chishiya. The way the two of you fit together was like you were made for each other. A part of Arisu was confused because why would this beautiful couple want him? Chishiya was quiet, smart and was always watching. You were louder, flirty and bouncing between being involved in everything and watching from the shadows. It was clear that the two of you could easily tear a person apart or build a person up. That was a scary thought. Because what was he?
Was he going to be torn apart by the two of you? Were you both just going to use him as a chew toy until you got bored or found someone better? More naive? Or were you both going to build him up? Fill him was love and praise. To make him feel wanted and make him happy? Were you planning to keep him by your side forever or just for a week? Maybe he should listen to Karube’s advice. Karube had always had Arisu’s best interest at heart. But Arisu felt like he trusted you and Chisiya. It was too soon to say that. It was too soon to think about how bad he wanted to kiss you both, to wake up in your arms, rather than waking up to Usagi opening his curtains.
“Yeah, this is nice. I’m glad you’re hear joining us, pet. Chishiya and I were wondering how you were settling in here? At the beach. I know it can be a lot. There are so many people here, it’s loud with constant parties, and I know it can be easy to get lost.” You gently stroked his thumb with yours as you continued to walk.
Arisu shrugged. “It’s okay here. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this place yet. Usagi doesn’t trust anyone here yet.” He explained. Then again, he wasn’t completely sure who to trust. Hatter seemed to like Arisu. You and Chishiya were the only people that he felt safe around. That should have worried Arisu. He hardly knew you both. Yet, he felt like the two of you would take care of him. He loved how you smiled at him. He loved the nicknames you gave him and how soft you were towards him. He liked how Chishiya was quiet. He liked it when the two made eye contact, and Arisu didn’t fully understand why. A part of his brain got excited when Chishiya gave him a command.
“That’s alright. Just know that if you need anything, we’re here. If you can’t find us, then find Kuina. She’ll bring you to us.” Your voice was so sugary sweet. Arisu nodded with a small smile on his face, showing that he understood. You looked at Chishiya as you felt him tap your waist lightly. You locked eyes. You knew that look. He thought Arisu was going to crack soon. The blonde could feel it in his gut. The three of you continued to walk. Of course, you passed a few people here and there. You were sure that the word would eventually spread that Arisu was off limits.
“You know, Arisu. I’m sure you’re still unsure of the plan. Especially since we haven’t explained it fully. However, even if you say no to the plan, we’d like to still have you around.” Chishiya told him, the two locking eyes. Holy shit, did it just get hotter in here?
“My love and I have taken a real shine to you, Arisu. So just know, there is no pressure to say yes to the plan. But this has to be your choice. Don’t let us or your friend sway you. Okay, honey? I meant what I said. You’re special, Arisu. We knew it the moment we laid eyes on you, and if you’re okay with it, we’d like to get to know you a lot better.” You squeezed his hand gently. Arisu was a blushing mess at this point. You wanted to get to know him better.
As you came towards the main area, still on the upper levels, your nice walk was soon interrupted. Usagi came over to the three of you after spotting Arisu. Kuina wasn’t far behind her.
“Arisu!” Usagi was shocked seeing Arisu holding your hand. To see him with you and Chishiya. Had he agreed to your plan? Whatever it was, she didn’t like the idea. She was unsure.
Arisu smiled at his friend. “Usagi. Kuina.” He nodded to the taller female. He looked back at his friend. “Did you find anything?” He asked her curiously. Usagi had this look on her face. Like she wanted to say yes. But she looked at you and Chishiya, not entirely sure if she could or should say anything in front of either of you. She didn’t trust either of you yet. She didn’t understand how Arisu could.
“I’m not really sure.” She told him with a small shrug. “I think we should go.” She added. When Arisu looked at her in confusion. “I heard Hatter wanted to talk to you. So we can walk there and I’ll explain.”
Arisu’s smile dropped. He looked at you and Chishiya. “I guess I’ll see you both later.” He finally let go of your hand, and he felt like the warmth of the sun had just left his body.
“Be safe, Sweetheart. It was nice spending time with you. I hope you think about what we told you.” You gave him a tight hug before pulling away. Chishiya gave Arisu a nod. Arisu was hesitant, but he soon walked towards Usgai.
“I’ll let you both know tomorrow.” He confirmed. “Thank you for the walk.” He turned and walked off with Usagi. The two headed downstairs. You, Chishiya and Kuina watched the two walk. Chishiya smirked when he noticed Arisu looked at where the three of you were every so often until he was out of sight.
Chishiya took your hand in his. The smirk still sat on his lips. The two of you looked at one another. “He’ll be ours by tomorrow night.”

Summary: You and Chishiya notice Arisu for the first time.
It was a new night and a new game. You stood leaning against a wall with your boyfriend, Chishiya, standing beside you. His hood was up, and his hands were in his pockets. Chishiya was waiting for his taser to charge. You thought it was one of his better inventions. Meanwhile, the two of you shared your music player, each having an earphone in. Listening to the soft music.
"There are a lot of people here. Maybe one's a doctor." A voice catches your attention. You look towards the entrance and see two guys walking in. The shorter of the two, the one with the dark hair, catches your attention. You watch the two walk to the table and grab a phone. Your eyes lock with the dark-haired male. You give him a sweet smile and a wave. He blushes and quickly looks away. He took another sneak peek at you, only to see both you and Chishiya watching him. The male quickly turned his attention to his taller friend.
A finger tapped your waist, causing you to look at your boyfriend. "Hmm, found a new victim already?" He asked you quietly, a smirk on his face. His fingers ran down to toy with your bikini skirt. It was like your usual one. Just this time it was white and purple rather than white and blue. You had shorts underneath and were wearing an actual top. You also had on one of Chishiya's jackets. It was a lot like his white one, but pink. You scoffed. "Victim? Shuntaro, Dear, you wound me." You told him as you placed a hand on your chest, over your heart. He shook his head a you. "If you behave, I'll patch you up later." His words made you giggle.
A giggle that reached Arisu's ears. His attention was brought away from Karube, his eyes moving to you and the man beside you. By the gods, your giggle was like music to Arisu's ears. He wanted to hear it forever. Wait, no. He couldn't think things like that. He had to focus on the game, not on a stranger. Fingers clicked in his face, causing him to look at his best friend. "Sorry, what?"
"Registration has closed. There are a total of 14 participants. The game will now commence." "Difficulty, Five of Spades." "Game is 'Tag'." "Rule. Avoid whoever is 'It'"
You let out a soft whine. "I hate running. I should have gone with Kuina." Chishiya simply shook his head at your words.
"Clear Condition: Discover and touch the base hidden in one of the building's rooms within the time limit. You clear the game when this objective is fulfilled." "Time limit, 20 minutes. After twenty minutes, the time bomb hidden in the building will explode."
You looked around for a moment. You noticed a cute girl stretching. She had the right idea. Everyone began to wander off. Chishiya squatted down to unplug the taser he had made and shoved it in his pocket. You turned off your music and wrapped the earphones around the music player. You shoved it into your jacket pocket. Chishiya then took your hand in his and walked to the elevator. He pressed the button and let you inside first. You turned, noticed those two guys again. Both are now watching you and Chishiya. You waved at the two. Karube looked away, whereas Arisu had somehow gained the courage to wave back.
As the doors closed and the elevator began to rise, Arisu let out a hiss. Karube had smacked him in the back of the head. "Arisu, we have to go." Arisu let out a small breath but nodded. He began to follow Karube up the stairs.
Once the elevator hit the top floor, you and Chsihiya walked hand in hand to the south walkway. From where the two of you stood, you could see everything and basically everyone.
"It's just as I thought. The most important strategy in this game is placement. This spot has the best vantage point if we don't know where it will emerge. We can observe most of the complex from here; there's no sense in wandering around where visibility is so limited." Chishiya leaned one arm on the railing. The other snaked around your waist.
"Choosing an L-shaped apartment complex, what a thoughtful game." That made you laugh. Chishiya could be funny when he wanted to be. He always knew how to make you smile or calm your nerves.
"Mmm, very thoughtful indeed, dear. It's almost like the game knew we were coming." Chishiya grinned down at you. You both turned in the direction of the elevator to see Aguni and one of his militants getting off. Chishiya waved at him. You copied his action. "Hi Aguni!" The man just grunted and walked away.
"Hmm, I think we're cracking through the hard exterior. He grunted this time. That's progress." You told your boyfriend, who simply chuckled at you.
You both got back to watching the other players. "The most important tool on the battlefield is information. How can you fight an enemy you don't know? Their appearance, weapons, habits, patterns, thought process... we can observe it all from here. I have the initiative." You watched as he pulled his hood down. "You may have killed more than me... but I'm smarter than you."
You let out a soft giggle, knowing he was talking to the game. "You're so dramatic. I love you." Chishiya looked at you, placing a soft kiss on your lips.
"I love you too, Darling. Now, help me pick out some guinea pigs so I can conduct my research." The two of you looked around. "Let's start with them." Chishiya gestured to the guys you had waved at in the lobby.
You pouted. "Hmm, alright."
"The Game will now commence. The time limit is 20 minutes. Commence now. The tagger is on the move."
--------------
You frowned, hearing a door open and close. Your eyes darted everywhere. "I don't see anything."
Chishiya looked over the railing. "I can't quite see from here. The base is likely from the same apartment it came out of. It would have been nice to see that right off the bat. But I'm guessing the base must be in the south tower." Chishiya looked at you, and you shrugged up at him. You wrapped your arms around his waist, cuddling into his side.
"Hmm, that would have been too easy for you, my love." Chishiya smiled at your words, placing a kiss on your forehead.
The two of you looked at each other for a moment before something caught Chishiya's eye. "Woah, are they serious? Five of spades, I underestimated you." You turned your head to see what he was looking at. Only to see a man in a horsemask, carrying a gun. He was a big guy. The sight was kind of unsettling.
The two of you watched as the man in the horse mask shot down two guys. He then began to shoot at the stairwell. The two of you watched the two guys you had waved at run down the stairs with another man. However, as the other man continued down another set of stairs, the cute guy with the dark hair pulled his friend around the corner to the walkway. Arisu held his breath, Karube doing the same as footsteps got closer. Thankfully, though, the footsteps continued down the stairs, allowing both men to let out a breath.
You shared a look with Chishiya. "Hmm, impressive decision making under pressure." The blonde spoke. "Maybe your intuition was right."
You smiled brightly at your boyfriend. "Mmm, he's cute and smart. He could be the one, you know?"
Chishiya raised an eyebrow at you. "Are you sure, sweetness?" He had to admit, the other male was good-looking, and he was showing his smarts.
You nodded your head. "I think it's time I joined the game." You told him. You wanted to go and talk to this guy.
"Are you sure, darling? We could always talk to him later. You know I don't want you in danger." Chishiya knew very well that you could take care of yourself. But the idea of you being in any kind of danger always made it hard for him to breathe.
"I'll be okay. I need to speak with him to be sure. Besides, with you being here, you can tell me on our walkie-talkies if that horse mask gets close to where I am. I'll see you soon, my love." You pressed a soft kiss to his lips. He, of course, kissed you back. The two of you parted and pulled out your walkie-talkies.
"Hey, baby!" You turned back to Chishiya, hearing his voice. "I wanna see him quiver."
"Anything for you, my love." You winked at the blonde before making your way to the stairs and going down.
------
"HEY EVERYONE, CAN YOU HEAR ME!!?" You frowned, hearing a voice shouting out. You made your way downstairs.
"The player chasing us is wearing a horse mask and is armed with an automatic. If we can let each other know where it's heading. We can search for the base safely. If we work together, it won't be able to catch up. We can all get out alive!"
You walked towards the walkway and smiled, seeing the two guys. You could practically hear Chishiya's voice in your head. "So passionate. Also pretty sharp. Those two might become the MVPS of this round. However, will it be that easy? With this many players, why should I put myself at risk? Do I really need to go to the walkways to look for the base? Shouting out its location? Won't that just give away my own position? Can I even trust intel from another player? I don't care if we're on the Earth or the Moon. As long as we survive, I don't care how many others die. That's human right?" That's what he would have told you. He would have pulled you closer. Reminding you that his main goal was always to keep you and himself safe. To make sure you both survive.
"It's on the sixth floor, south walkway! If you're close by, run!" A female voice came.
You walked over to the two guys and looked over the railing to see a girl climbing up to another floor. "Hmm, a climber. How fun."
Your voice caused the two males to jump. You let out a soft giggle. "Oh, my apologies. I didn't mean to startle you both." You walked over to a door and turned the handle. It didn't open. You turned back to the two males and introduced yourself. You held a hand out to them.
The two looked at each other. The taller one stepped forward first, after a beat of silence. "I'm Karube." He shook your hand. It was firm yet still gentle. He flashed a charming smile your way. You let out a hum as your hands parted. "Pleasure." You turned to look at the shorter one.
"What about you, sweetheart? You got a name? Or would you just prefer it if I called you cutie?" That made Arisu's eyes too wide. Sweetheart? Cutie? Were... were you flirting with him? Holy shit! A pretty girl was giving him nicknames in the middle of a death game. But wait, didn't you have a boyfriend? Then again, he had seen you both watching him in the lobby.
Karube nudged Arisu forward, causing him to snap out of his thoughts. "I'm Ryohei Arisu." Oh, full name. A bright smile appeared on your perfectly soft pink lips. You had the lipstick tube in your pocket. The two of you shook hands. His grip was softer than Karube's. His eyes met yours. He sucked in a breath seeing you already looking at him.
"Ryohei Arisu." You tested his name out on your lips as you pressed down on the walkie-talkie button, allowing Chishiya the ability to hear the name of your target, and it sent a shiver down Arisu's spine. He suddenly longed to hear you say his name again. "I saw you by the way. When you were running away from it. The fact that you chose to go towards the walkway and not down the stairs was inspired. A really smart choice. Most people would have ended up downstairs and died. But not you. Cute and smart. You're basically the whole package."
"Thank you." That made you smile. He was polite and had manners, too. Arisu was sure his brain just short-circuited. His knees quivered for a moment. He wasn't used to this. To a girl flirting with him. He wasn't used to being praised, but it made his chest bubble with pride. Karube looked between the two of you. He was just as stunned, but he was proud of his best friend. So he patted his back. Karube then frowned.
"Wait, how did you see that?" He turned to you in confusion.
You guested over to where Chishiya stood. The two males looked up to the top floor to see Chsihiya leaning against the railing. Walking-talking with a hand, watching the three of you. He waved at the three of you. Causing you to excitedly wave back. A smirk appeared on his face.
You pressed the talk button. "Isn't he handsome?" You asked, looking at Arisu. The male looked between you and Chishiya. He nodded. "Very handsome." You let go of the button as you watched Chishiya nod at you with a small smile.
Crap, Arisu couldn't believe he had just agreed with you, but then again. He had been honest when he had agreed. The blonde was handsome. The way he stared at him made Arisu weak at the knees. Fuck, what were you two doing to him? Two total strangers, one of whom he hadn't even spoken to yet, were making his mind race and freeze at the same time.
"Chishiya and I have been up there the whole game. Watching. Shiya loves a good advantage point." You explained to the two. "That's how we say you two running away from it. It's how we saw this cutie come up with a good plan under such pressure." That made Arisu blush. He scratched the back of his neck.
You began to walk down the walkway. Arisu hurried to catch up to you. You hid your smirk behind a sweet smile. Chishiya, however, grinned. "Hmm, maybe she was right."
You looked at Arisu as he walked in time with you. "Where are you going?" He asked in confusion.
You giggled. "To look for the base, silly." Arisu's eyes widened. Oh yeah, the base. How had he forgotten? He turned and tried a door. Nothing. And so you and two males tried opening every door on the floor.
----
A sudden boom was heard. Someone had set a landmine off. You suppressed the urge to roll your eyes. You couldn't focus on that right night. Karube ran ahead, trying some doors. You and Arisu ran after him, trying the doors that Karube hadn't tried. You didn't have a lot of time left. Around ten minutes were left.
Karube banged on a door. "They're all locked!"
"The complex is too big. We'll never search everywhere in time." Arisu muttered. Karube continued to run ahead, though Arisu came to a stop, panting. He tired.
"Not much of a runner either? I hate running." You told him.
"What are you two doing? You can't just stand in the middle of the walkway!" Karube shouted at the two of you. He was at the end of the walkway, by the entrance to the stairwell.
You took out your walkie-talkie as it crackled to life. "Baby! You have to run. He's coming to your floor. West stairwell." Your eyes widened. You turned to Arisu and grabbed his hand. "We have to go, now." You told him. You shoved the walkie-talkie back in your pocket. Just as you got ready to run, the tagger stepped onto your floor.
"Fuck."
Arisu knew you two wouldn't make it to Karube in time. So he pulled your hand as he sat on the floor against the wall. Thankfully, the doors were in little cutouts in the walls. Giving you and Arisu a corner and a place to hide. He pulled you so that you were between him and the door, keeping himself the closest to the danger.
Cute, smart, sweet, polite, a little shy and protective? Interesting.
Chishiya's breath felt like it was caught in his throat. He could see the two of you. Huddled on the floor as the tagger got closer and closer to your spot. He couldn't believe it. He should have just kept you by his side. He should have told you you could talk to Arisu after the game. But no, you both got cocky and wanted some fun. Now you were in danger.
He watched closely. He watched as you placed a hand on Arisu's mouth. The male was panicking, but you whispered something to him, making him calm down a little.
"Breath, pet. Stay quiet, stay still. Press yourself against the wall, sweetness and keep your head down. Breathe, honey." You had whispered to the male.
Chishiya watched as Arisu seemed to melt into your arms. How he seemed to relax after your words. Hmm, well, that certainly was interesting.
The three of you froze as the masked man walked into view and then walked right past the two of you. You waited for him to leave before you breathed.
You looked at Arisu and smiled. "You okay? Arisu?" The way you said his name made him gulp. It was like cotton candy. So sweet.
The male nodded his head after hesitating for a moment. "I think so."
You pulled out your walkie-talkie and pressed the button. "Thank you for the heads up."
"I noticed him too late, love. Are you okay?" Chishiya's voice came, making Arisu look at the device in your hand.
"I'm okay, thanks to Arisu-" Arisu shook his head. "If you hadn't helped me calm down, we would probably be dead by now." Humble too.
"We have eight minutes. You two need to get a move on." You nodded at Chishiya's words and stood up. You turned to Arisu and held out a hand to him. "Come on. We have a base to find."
You lifted the walkie to your lips and pressed the button. "Let me know when you're on the move." You put the walkie back in your pocket.
"Wait. We can't keep running blindly. We need to think of this differently. How would I play the game if I were it? If I were it, I'd use the central stairwell because it's connected to everything. So it would be the most likely place to encounter players." You pressed the button, letting Chishiya hear Arisu's mind work.
"We're in the final minutes of the game. The last half. So that would leave me with the most athletic players and those who are smart to stay away from the likely places. At least that's how I'd think if I were it. I'd be worried about some players possibly fighting back. Like animals backed into a corner. So.." He trailed off for a moment.
Chishiya chuckled, hearing your voice come throw his walkie. "Don't leave me hanging, Arisu. Tell me more. Show me how smart that pretty brain of yours is."
"I'd be expecting them to fight back. The prey becomes the predator. If I were it. My biggest fear would be running out of bullets. Knowing that, if I were it, I wouldn't bother with reloading. I'd have more than one weapon ready. We're approving the final of the game. If I were it, I would- I would..." He groaned and pulled at his hair. "I can't think."
You let go of the button and took your hand out of your pocket. "Arisu, it's okay." You looked up, hearing multiple gunshots. They were stopping.
Chishiya placed his chin on his left hand as he watched the other players. He could hear the gunfire. "Did someone poke the bear? You can't go breaking the rules. If you chase it, it's not tag."
------
Arisu looked over the railing. His eyes widened, noticing some bullet holes near a door. "Bullet holes? Why are the bullet holes at that angle? It shot across from the south walkway? That must mean- that means he was shooting for another reason. It's an L-shaped complex. But shooting from that far away would just be a waste of bullets. Why just there?" He asked.
"To deter them." You told him, arms crossed over your chest.
Arisu nodded his head. "The base is on the fourth floor, west walkway!"
"Arisu! You had me worried. You're okay!" A voice called from the sixth floor. It was Karube.
You and Arisu rushed off to the fourth floor, ready to finally end this game. You pulled out your walkie, Chishiya's voice coming through. "I'm on the move, gorgeous. We need all hands on deck." You grinned at his words. "I see he finally noticed the bullet holes?" Arisu looked back at you in confusion as you laughed.
"Yeah, we're on our way there now. Be careful." You told him as you ran.
Chishiya smiled as he walked. "You too, Darling."
As you and Arisu approached the fourth floor, he frowned. "We have under a minute left. If I were it, I know exactly where I'd be." The two of you walked into the walkway. There he was, IT. He was blocking your path. "He's guarding the base."
Out of nowhere, Karube jumped onto the man. The two tumbled down the stairs. It gave you and Arisu the chance to run to the base. So you did. You ran to the door and opened it. Inside were two buttons. Two buttons that had to be pressed at the same time.
----
Chisiya made his way downstairs. He was just in time to see IT. The man in the horse mask had his gun aimed at Karube, who had attempted to move down the floor via the outside, like how Usagi had been moving around, rather than going down the stairs. He took out his gun and fired. He missed. "That was my first time shooting a gun. It's harder than it looks in the movies." Chishiya turned and headed upstairs.
----
You and Arisu ran towards a button each and pressed it. There were mere seconds left.
"Game Cleared."
The two of you stayed there for a moment, sitting on the floor. Both tired and processing what had happened, before Arisu got up. He offered you his hand. "Come on. I need to check on Karube, and you need to find Chishiya." You smiled, hearing Arisu say your boyfriend's name. You placed your hand in his, and he pulled you up.
----
Chishiya made his way to Karube.
"You have a gun?" Karube asked in confusion.
"Yup!" Chishiya chuckled. "It was my first time shooting at a person, though."
"Why did you save my life?" Karube panted. He let out a sigh and grabbed the railing to help himself up.
Chishiya smirked. "This is a race. To win these games, you need to bet on the best horses. I may call in a favour one day. I'll ask for my favour once you're more accustomed to the Borderlands."
"Babe!" There you were. Hand in hand with Arisu as the two of you made your way to Chishiya and Karube. Arisu let go of your hand, rushing past Chishiya and towards Karube.
"Karube. Are you okay?" Arisu asked his friend. Karube leaned a little on Arisu. He was hurt.
"My name is Shuntaro Chishiya." Chishiya and Arisu locked eyes for a moment. Chishiya placed one hand in his pocket and the other wrapped around your waist.
"Shuntaro. This is Ryohei Arisu." Arisu looked between the two of you. He wasn't sure what to say or do, but he melted when you said his name. So he said a quiet, shy. "Hello."
Chishiya smirked. "She's right. You are cute." That had Arisu blushing like crazy. Karube looked between the three of you, because what on earth was going on? Why was there a couple standing in front of him, flirting with his best friend?
"Come, Darling. We need to get going." Chishiya told you as he took your chin between his fingers, getting you to look at him.
"Can't we take him back with us?" You asked hopefully.
Chishiya chuckled and shook his head. "Not yet, sweetness." That made you pout.
The two of you turned, ready to walk away.
"Wait!" Arisu and Karube both spoke.
"Where are you going?" Arisu asked curiously. A part of him wanted the two of you to stay longer.
"What do you two know about this place? You called it the Borderlands. Do you know if we can get home?" Karube questioned.
You and your boyfriend shared a look. You both turned back to look at the duo. You smiled sweetly and nodded at Chishiya.
"What do you think? As you can tell, we're in the future. We've likely been brought here by some futuristic entity. Or this could just be a bad dream. Perhaps when we die, we wake up from this nightmare. Or perhaps we've all gone crazy. Or this is an alien science experiment. Maybe virtual reality? I choose to believe a different theory. I think we've simply stumbled into something. Nowhere and no place in particular. A strange fantasy land we read about as children. That's why I decided I just need to become the protagonist. As long as I'm the main character, I'll find a way to get me and my girl home."
That left Arisu and Karube quiet for a moment. You looked up at your boyfriend and shook your head. "You really went through all the theories, didn't you?" You asked him, causing him to shrug at you. "Wait, if you're the main character, does that make me the love interest? The damsel in distress? Female lead?" That just made him smirk at you.
"And what exactly does that role entail?" Karube asked as he took a step forward.
"Sorry, information isn't free." Chishiya put his hood up. "But I can give you a hint. Even as the world sleeps, radio lives on. I recommend the taxi driver channels." Chishiya began to walk away, and he paused, noticing you weren't following.
You turned to look at Arisu. You walked over to the male and took his hands in yours. "I hope we meet again soon. Come find us, Arisu. Just know that if I see you out and about on the streets or in a game, I'll be bringing you home. But for now, sadly, we need to wait." You explained to him.
Arisu frowned in confusion. "What do you mean? Where are you going?" What was going on with him? Why did he feel the need to keep you and Chishiya around longer?
You gently took his cheeks in your hands. "Don't be sad, pet. You'll see us again. Just find a radio and come find us. We can't make it too easy now, can we? You're smart, Arisu. Just know, we'll be waiting for you." You placed a kiss on his cheek before making your way to Chishiya. Chishiya wrapped an arm around your waist. You both looked at Arisu and Karube.
"See you two around. Take care, cutie." And with that, you and Chishiya walked away. The two of you walked towards where the body of the tagger was. Chishiya reached into the tagger's pocket and pulled out some cards and a piece of paper. He then turned to you, pulling out a handful of cards.
"Six cards from eight players. Not the best haul. But we're one step closer to leaving." He told you as he shoved the paper and cards in his pocket. He held you close as the two of you walked back to the beach.
A small sigh left your lips. "So. What did you think?" You asked him curiously as the two of you walked down the street.
"I think you might be onto something. If he can find the beach or if we encounter him again, then we'll see about taking him for ourselves. You were right, though, Sweetheart. He's smart, adorable, and he seemed to be on the more...submissive side. Easily flustered, too. I think you may have found our perfect match."
The two of you shared a passionate kiss before continuing your walk to the beach, both ready for what the future may hold. Especially if that future involves Arisu.

Hi everyone. So I've decided I wanted to make a third collection of stories, this time for Arisu x Reader x Chishiya. Just like with my Love Line Collection and Life Line Collection, this is its own little universe.
This was almost called the Heart Line Collection, but Heart and Diamond won the poll, so Heart Line will be the title of a chapter instead.
I have a lot of ideas, and they are listed below in two sections. One for stories I have a link, and the second for stories I'm writing or plan to write. Now, each section will be split up into its own sections. So stories that fit into Season 1, then Season 2, etc. If there is any you wanna see sooner rather than later, let me know.
Now, in these, the boys, in my opinion, might be out of character.
Warnings for some of these fics: Blood, Death, Cursing.

Arisu Ryohei x Reader x Chishiya Shuntaro

Summary: You and your boyfriend may have found the missing piece.
Chishiya's plan was slowly falling into play. He wanted to get far away from the beach and never come back. He, of course, wanted to take you, his beloved girlfriend, with him. And with Kuina being a part of the plan and your best friend, he had agreed to make sure Kuina could leave with the two of you. He had grown fond of her.
Chishiya had been keeping a close eye on Arisu. Someone whom the two of you had played tag with. Someone who held the key to possibly getting the cards. Arisu could easily be the perfect sacrifice. However, the more the two of you watched him, the more Kuina told you. The more you two thought that Arisu could hold the key to a different role in your lives.
-------
There you stood on the roof of the Beach. Looking out at the bright blue sky. Next to you was your boyfriend. Chishiya. Hands in his pockets. Kuina, your best friend, was across from you. However, in the middle was Arisu. Chishiya had noticed how Arisu and Usagi had been talking to the members of the beach.
"Arisu. You and Usagi seem to have collected a vast amount of information. What are you both planning?" He asked.
"Nothing much." Arisu shrugged as he looked between the three of you. His eyes landed on you. You gave him a sweet smile and a little wave. Arisu quickly looked down, his cheek starting to blush.
"I'll cut to the chase. How will you live in this world that's full of despair?" Chishiya tilted his head to the side, ever so slightly. His eyes looking Arisu over for a moment.
"How?" Arisu asked, a confused look on his face. He looked between the three of you again. The wind was blowing gently, though it was enough to make your blue and white bikini skirt dance. "I just want to know the answers to my questions. The ones behind this crazy game. And who killed Karube and Chota?"
There was silence. You had never met this Chota guy, but you had a brief encounter with Karube. He was charming and seemed nice enough. Tall and handsome. You knew what it was like losing people you were close with in these games. So you could understand Arisu's pain.
You and Chishiya locked eyes. He gave you a subtle nod as Arisu looked at Kuina. You stepped closer to Arisu and gently placed a hand on his arm, in a way to support him. Arisu looked down at you and smiled shyly, but appreciatively. He was blushing again.
Arisu took a breath. "I thought I'd be able to survive and return to the original world with everyone. If that's not possible, I want a least Usagi to return. This is the only reason why I'm still alive."
Chihsiya smiled and looked down before looking back at you and Arisu. You gently squeezed Arisu's arm. "What a tearjerker." Chishiya commented with a small chuckle.
"Darling, that's not very nice." You spoke softly. A small pout on your pink lipstick coloured lips.
Arisu turned to the blonde and frowned. "Your dream..." Chishiya walked forward. "It's nice, but it's not at all practical." He moved towards the edge of the roof, looking out at the view. His hands never once left his pockets.
That caused Kuina to let out a giggle. "You'll have to win all the games and become the next Number One, but that's impossible." She walked forward before turning to face Arisu.
"It has nothing to do with you guys." Arisu stated as you finally let go of his arm. Taking a few steps back.
"We think you have potential." Chishiya turned his head to look at Arisu.
"What?"
"That's why we came to meet you."
"What do you mean?"
Chishia raised an eyebrow at the dark-haired male and turned to face him. "What if I said there's a way to change the status quo all at once?" He asked. "Hatter is trying to keep the militants in check, but it's only a matter of time before they retaliate. If that happens, this place will be controlled by the militants. Who don't know how to use their brains. Then there'd be no point staying here."
"What are you planning?"
"I'm planning to steal all the playing cards and leave the beach." The air was quiet after Chishiya finally revealed what he wanted. Arisu once again looked between the three of you.
You stepped forward, smoothing out your bikini skirt. Arisu's eyes watched how your hands moved, not noticing the smirk on Chishiya's face as he watched Arisu snap his eyes to meet yours.
"We've thought this through. Carefully. We saw how you played during Tag. You were the only other person to figure out where the item was. You're smart, Arisu." You said as you stepped closer to him. There was that sweet smile again that made Arisu gulp.
"You were pretty good in the Light Bulb game, too. You figured it out even with all that pressure on your shoulders. We've seen how easily you've approached some of the people here at the Beach. You're special, Arisu." You reached up and gently took his chin between your thumb and forefinger. His big doe eyes looking into yours. Your faces were so close. "Hmm, you're adorable. Smart and cute. You have a lot of potential, Arisu. Hatter wants you to be an Executive. Chishiya and I want to help you unlock your potential. But only if you want us to." Your voice was dripping in honey.
Arisu thought his knees were going to buckle beneath him. He watched as Chishiya walked towards the two of you. He took his right hand out of his pocket and wrapped it around your waist, pulling you close to him. You looked up at your boyfriend and smiled brightly at him. Arisu couldn't help but watch the two of you for a moment. You were a beautiful couple. Smart and pretty. Both of you were a mystery that Arisu desperately wanted to unravel.
"We'll give you some time to think over if you'd like to take part in the plan. Talk it over with your...friend. When you've decided, come to us or find Kuina." Chishiya told him.
Arisu was quiet for a moment. He nodded his head. He looked over at Kuina before looking at you and Chishiya again. He sucked in a breath before walking away.
Kuina stepped forward. "I'll leave you two to it." And with that, she gave you a hug and then walked away.
-----------------
Chishiya turned you to face him. "What do you think?" It was just the two of you on the roof now. You could free talk about exactly what you were thinking.
"I want him." You told him as you placed your hands on his chest, underneath his half-zipped jacket. "I think he's the perfect match for us."
"Hmm, I thought as much. He's pretty and clever. He's a bit of a hero." Chishiya knew that it probably wouldn't take long to have Arisu on his knees for you both. He did seem like the submissive kind.
"He has heart, too. He seems to understand people better than he realises. I want him to be ours." One of your hands moved up to play with Chishiya's hair.
Chishiya nodded his head in agreement. His eyes locked on yours the entire time. "I want him too." He gently rubbed circles on your bare skin. "He couldn't keep those pretty eyes off you."
That made you giggle up at him. "He did seem to like my skirt. It's a real crowd pleaser."
Chishiya smirked down at you. "Alright, baby. I told you I'd give you everything you want. Change of plan, I'll find a new sacrifice. Let's make Arisu ours." And the promise was sealed with a kiss.
If this becomes a series, this is the moldboard I'd probably use for it, unless I make something better.
