Meeting Tenzo would be spontaneous not something to double take. But for him it’s the small act of kindness that get to him. Nothing that would deem to be remembered but considering he’s part of an organization where children kill each other to survive it’s hard not to remember the small selfless moments without thinking they have some hidden motive. He’ll be confused, why would you do such a thing? And to him? Was it pity? An order from Danzo? Or some secret motive to kill him? He didn’t understand, he was far too confused to comprehend your selfless actions.

He’ll follow you around, stalking you in the shadows. Eyeing every little thing you do, he’ll learn your ins and outs. What you dislike and what you like. Hell, he might as well learn every route you take towards the shopping district/the marketing district. So he does, and he grows some weird obsession over you. You were far too kind to others than they were to you, selfish and honorable. So kind and noble, someone who was pure unlike him. He would never dare to present himself to you—not yet. He couldn’t let Danzo know about you, if he did he’ll use you against him. So he results in being your bodyguard from the shadows,

If he were to be bold, he’ll drop by your apartment/house and grow small flowers around your lawn.He’ll want to make sure his interest is known in you even if you don’t understand what’s happening. You might as well take it as a courting gift. His heart flutters whenever you water the plants he’s gifted you. He’ll leave little trinkets and notes for you, hoping you’ll accept each gift he gives you.

It wasn’t long before he met Kakashi, the man who had shown the light from the dark tunnel. He managed to save him, took him form the shadows and showed him just what it is to protect a village who cares about their comrades. It wouldn’t take Kakashi long to figure out Tenzo/Yamato has an interest in someone. He’ll put two and two together and try pushing Tenzo/Yamato to the right direction, he won’t understand just how infuriated Tenzo/Yamato really is with you. He’ll grow nerves of steel and bump into you whenever he can, apologizing like the kind gentlemen he is. He’ll force himself into your life little by little, coming off as the nice kind shinobi he is. Anyone could see he’s a total catch, a flustered man who easily turns red. Who wouldn’t want him?
