Thinking about Daforge again….

Thinking about later in their life Geordi tells Data to continue to find people and make a new best friend and a new partner once Geordi’s dead so Data can continue being happy.

Thinking about Data responding that it’s statistically unlikely he will ever find someone that will be able to live up to Geordi's standards ever again.

Thinking about even later in their life Data telling starfleet that he will de-activate himself when Geordi dies, so starfleet tries to keep Laforge alive for as long as possible with all the best medical treatments they have, but ultimately, they still can’t beat death in the end.

Thinking about Data grieving so hard he has to remove his emotion chip and setting up his permanent de-activation program.

Thinking about Data thinking of Geordi and replaying every memory and recording he's got of Geordi one last time before it's all gone.

I always love how Geordi is never truly weirded out by anything Data does or specifically if he does something strange when learning human behavior. Everyone else just gives Data this look because their weirded out but Geordi just looks at him and raises an eyebrow, and yeah he could be giving him the look behind his visor as well as the rest of them but I don't think so. He's never weirded out by Data's Data-ness just mildly surprised and questions him like "What do mean Data?" in a gentle voice

Headcanon: The TNG crew at the pool!

Picard is sitting on a sunchair with a book. All he requires is to sit alone and read his book. He is wearing Beverly’s coral pink sunglasses because he didn’t bring any sunglasses of his own and is tired of squinting in order to read.

Riker and Deanna are lovingly chatting in the hot tub together with ice cream. Riker has a strawberry fruit popsicle and Deanna has a fudge-filled Drumstick.

Geordi is trying to teach Data classic childhood pool games like Marco Polo and Sharks and Minnows. Data is discouraged that he can’t play because he just sinks to the bottom of the pool and can’t stay afloat, so Geordi plays volleyball with him instead. (Data is wearing a big floppy sun hat because Beverly and Deanna are wearing one)

Worf is also sitting on a sunchair with the Captain but he is just watching everyone else do their thing because “swimming is too much like bathing” (Season 1, Episode 25 reference)

Beverly and Wesley swim for a good long while but now have joined Geordi and Data’s volleyball game, and Wesley has the classic post-swim cuisine of a turkey sandwich with the chips on it

Headcanon: The TNG crew playing mini golf.

Picard shoots with small swings and looks very tense the whole time (there are children everywhere)

Riker swings really hard but usually gets the ball in on the 2nd or 3rd try. He is mogging the whole time.

Deanna is surprisingly very good and does the Street Fighter 2 Chun Li win emote when she gets a hole in one

Data calculates the exact trajectory of the course and hits the ball at the perfect angle. He gets a hole in one every time. He fist bumps Geordi after every time because “it’s what the humans do”

Worf is terrible at golf. He hits the ball too hard and is leaving dents in the club. Sometimes he undercompensates by hitting it too softly.

Beverly and Wesley are equally fine, Beverly directing Wesley in how to play. Wesley mopes a bit after every miss.

Geordi swings a little too hard because the hole is a little hard to see. Data sometimes does the ‘stand behind and puts his hands on Geordi’s and helps him swing’.

In the TNG episode “Force of Nature”, Data asks Geordi for cat-training advice. Geordi mentions that his sister trained her cat by putting tuna in her blouse to get it to jump into her arms. Now I’m picturing Data in his quarters wearing a pretty women’s blouse with tuna in it being like “Spot. I have put the tuna in my blouse. Please comply.” I need it bro
