A writer and her reader <3
Ty to @/princess-of-purple-prose for writing the alt text!
Day 6: Role Reversal AU - If it weren't for that reader, I'd probably have died back then
“One more dance?” “Of course. I wish for this waltz to never end.”
Inspired by @/miilkcandies beautiful sequence of art! I fell in love with the storytelling and paneling in that piece :) Please check it out if you haven't already!
tfw you have homoerotic subtext with someone of the opposite gender. queerbait but it's not... queer...?
A short comic based on a song quote that reminded me of Han Sooyoung :]
- The Front Bottoms "Be Nice to Me"
Sometimes when people say they ship plotja the dynamic they actually mean is 1863 doksoo
huh. han sooyoung as a child had to survive her own ruined world alone. huh.
Even then, Han Sooyoung wanted to tell him. To tell him that he was definitely not at fault for this story being born…
chapter 535
smth smth parallel lines
pt2 here
genuinely cant stop thinking about that doksoo post by the way. what if you met this guy and he was everything you wanted in a reader. he treasured that webnovel the way you were desperate for but he never liked yours. and then youre thrown together by circumstance and you fall in love with him and he promises to read your work every single chapter and then he gives you 49% of himself and doesnt even include the part that loves reading. and then you discover that when you split yourself in two, yeah that other part of yourself? she loved him too. she loved him so much she wrote for him for thirteen years and that work you were so jealous of was your own and it was that quest that even made you a writer and every single part of yourself seems to come back to loving him. what would you even do
yoohankim domestic au is so amusing to me because in my mind their average day goes something like han sooyoung sitting on the sofa and arguing with her editor on call while periodically pausing to yell slurs in kim dokja's direction as he loudly reads some fuckass smut book written for bored housewives and yoo joonghyuk lies in a corner listening to knife sounds asmr on full blast trying to sleep 😭😭
royal au (not royal au that was canonically in orv) where kdj is a prince of some kingdom, yjh is his knight and hsy is his maid (also a witch) that he has been friends since teen years and yes they are all dating each other
something something yoohankim beach episode something something
"i can fix him" ok well i will try to make him realize how loved and cherished he is outside of the narrative he created for himself
it’s doksoo week and i’m thinking of how the endless loop starts and ends with kdj on a hospital bed and hsy looking over him
Honestly, Doksoo is my OTP in ORV. Like yes I am and always will be a multishipper that believes in polyamory and murders monogamy in its sleep. But I love Doksoo the best because I am both a writer and a reader. I get absolutely mad when other people assume the ship is liked for being "straight". Hell, no.
I love Doksoo because that's the writer/reader relationship of my dreams. I also wish I have a reader who comments on my every chapter for every detail that I write about, someone who supports and loves my stories. I also wish I can talk to authors in a way that makes them motivated to write even more, in a way that they listen to my headcanons and spoil me by writing about my OC. I also wish to become a writer that motivates another person to speak up for themself because I'm also a reader who wants to feel cared for when I'm reading a story even if I isolate myself away from the narrative because I don't do self-insert lmao sorry. 😅
I understand maybe more people like the protagonist more than the reader and the writer because, for one reason amongst others, they probably grew up shipping themselves with a character or just imagining themselves as part of the story. But I, as reader and a writer, just want to share stories with a special person in a way that we study the characters and create worlds out of our imagination. Dokja/Sooyoung are like this to me and if I want them married and in love like Singsong, the married couple who wrote ORV together, it's nothing about sexuality or gender. It's all about sharing stories/souls.
