Hiiiii. I did a thing.
More of my human Bill Cipher. I made him sad. >:]
I tried something new. I pretty much had a completely different drawing process for this which is why it took me so long to finish it. I hate it. Okay, that's harsh. I don't hate the drawing itself, but I absolutely NEVER want to draw something like this again. Maybe.
He's just a silly little guy. Also, today I learned how to use gradient maps, can you tell?
Close up of each dooodle below:
Forgot to color in the cane in third dooodle. Why is it always the cane? WHY IS IT ALWAYS THE CANE!?
I'm okay.
Idk about anyone else but Bill strikes me as the kind of person who will say “cool beans” as a response to pretty much anything, even if it doesn’t even make sense in the context.
I finally decided to draw a full body picture of this guy. I know I technically already did, but it was in my sketchbook so it wasn’t in color, his hair was shorter in that one, and it was in a way more cartoonish style than I usually do. Plus I remembered to draw his cane this time. I kind of like what I did with the background, I was originally just trying to make a brick pattern with some stripes, but it looks kind of optical-illusiony now which is cool and also very in character.
(Also I put a question mark next to “human” in the title because he’s still not really human but he’s humanoid so I didn’t know what to put.)
Can you tell I'm going to post as many pictures of my human Bill design as possible yet?
Forgot to include Bill's cane in the top right picture. It feels wrong.
My human Bill in some alternate outfits. :P Also I gave him a braid to manage his hair, cuz I imagine it's basically always getting in his way or being a problem. Why is his hair so long? In-universe-explanation: Bill hasn't actually inhabited his own body in a very long time, so he couldn't exactly cut it, and although he's back in his body, he hasn't bothered to try cutting it. Out-of-universe-explanation: Bill's hair being so long and his neglect at cutting it represents his attachment to his past and his unwillingness to let go or move on. He can't ignore his past, and that continuously gets in his way and causes him problems.
Some sketches of my human Bill. Actually really proud of the last one. :]
Unfinished and will likely never finish because I don’t feel like rendering water.
Another drawing of my human Bill Cipher design. I have the final drawing at the top, plus the flats and sketch underneath. Hope you enjoy!
