hi, i've getting into euphoria recently and i was wondering if you could write some poly!maddie and cassie with a fem!reader? it could be some time after season 2 with them liking the same girl, because y'know we love a trainwreck. reader is pretty normal, sort of like a background character but she's pretty charming and playful and just has no idea about any drama at school. she only knows these 2 as those girls who fought each other in lexi's play, poor girl has no idea what's going on. in truth, i just wanna see a trainwreck with maddie and cassie with a completely oblivious reader. sorry if it's a little long ;-;

two months ago, you didn't have a clue what was going on between maddy perez and cassie howard. as far as you were concerned, they were just two ex best friends who both happened to like you. however, it was much more than that. you knew about nate jacobs, and the fact that he has been on-and-off with maddy, but you had no clue that cassie had been with him too.

you had your own little circle, consisting of stoners who never payed any attention to anything, and people who genuinely didn't care about their education, who hardly ever went to class. so when you asked your friends what had happened, they were clueless as well.

you'd never truly tried to find out what had happened between the girls though, or why they fought, even though you were friends with lexi. in all honesty, you thought it would be better if you stayed oblivious. why? because you knew that finding out could change the way you viewed them, and you weren't ready for that.

lexi had told you about a week ago that they liked you, and you had been thinking about what to do ever since. neither of the girls had ever been in a poly relationship, and you were certain that they never would be. you hadn't been in one either, the closest you had gotten was being in a open relationship.

however, when you got word from lexi that she had talked to cassie for you, your view on the situation changed.

"wait.. so, you like y/n, right?" cassie looked over at lexi, panicking and trying to figure out how she knew. "um, what? no, why would you even think that? that's like, so gross.. like who even is she?!" lexi laughed at her sisters behavior and rolled her eyes. "yeah, okay. you know maddy likes her too, right?" cassie sighed and looked away, now upset. "yes obviously I know, lexi." lexi muttered an 'ookay..' and thought about what to say next. she wanted to get cassie to be open to at least the idea of being in a relationship with y/n and maddy, she thought that maybe it would help it actually happen. of course, she didn't think this was the greatest idea, but she would do anything for y/n, even if it meant getting her sister into a potentially toxic relationship.

"so... would you ever like, be in a relationship with her and maddy? like if you were both dating y/n... separately? I don't know if that makes sense so.." cassie cut her off by yelling 'no!' and she turned to face the wall. "well.. I guess maybe, but I'm tired of sharing everyone with maddy. I guess if y/n really wanted it then yeah.." lexi smiled and got up, mumbling a quick thanks before leaving cassies room, leaving her to yell after her in a panicked voice. "wait you're not going to tell her, are you?... lexi?!"

yeah, she told you. you were really happy, you pretty much just got cassie to agree to a poly relationship with you and maddy. both of the girls would be dating you but not eachother, you didn't see a problem. you didn't know about their past with nate, so you didn't worry about them getting jealous of one another. all you had to do now was get someone to ask maddy if she would, and then ask them both yourself.

it wasn't as easy as it sounded.

you spent days asking around, trying to get someone who talked to maddy to talk to you. finally, you had settled on rue. even though you and rue didn't know eachother very much, she found your situation amusing, and wanted to help. so, she did the same thing lexi did, and asked her if she would ever date you while cassie did as well.

maddy was more adamant about not wanting to do it, but a few days later, you had got a message from her in the middle of the night, asking to meet up at a local 24-hour diner.

when you arrived, you found maddy sitting at a booth in the back. she stood up when she saw you walking towards her, and motioned for you to follow her back outside, behind the diner, where you found cassie waiting. it was cold and raining, but the three of you stood far apart from eachother in silence until cassie spoke up. "maddy, why the fuck are we here?" maddy sighed and stomped lightly, mud splashing onto her legs. she tried to speak a few times, but only ended up blubbering like a fish. she felt pathetic. "I just.. well I wanted to.. um.. well.. y/n can I talk to you alone?" you nodded and walked around the side of the building, until you were just out of earshot of cassie. or so you thought. cassie heard everything the two of you said.

"okay, fuck. I like you. kind of, like a lot.. and I want to be with you. and I know that cassie likes you too so I just want you to pick one of us and move on. please." you stared at her for a moment, but in your head you were bouncing off the walls and running in circles. maddy just told you that she likes you. holy shit on a stick. that was not something you were expecting to hear.

you opened your mouth to speak, but stopped when cassie came around the corner with her arms crossed and a baffled look on her face. "are you fucking kidding me? you brought her here to make her choose between us?" maddy sighed as cassie walked towards the two of you. "listen, its not going to work out if we do it any other way, I just figured we could get it over with." you stood there in silence as the two went back and forth, praying to god they wouldn't break out into a fight.

you backed up a few feet as the girls started to get closer to each other, and they noticed immediately. the two of them turned to you and stopped with their argument, before stepping away from eachother. cassie licked her lips and took a deep breath before gathering her courage to speak. "can't we just.. both date her?" maddy looked at her with wide eyes and her mind immediately went to rue. "wait, did rue talk to you too?!" cassie looked at her with a confused frown on her face. "..what? no, lexi di- nevermind."

you tried to hide the smile that was forming on your face. cassie actually just suggested that you be in a poly relationship. maddy sighed and looked around for a minute, before crossing her arms and speaking. "well.. I guess we could.."

and so, after a few weeks, you all got comfortable. it took maddy and cassie a bit more time than you, but you eventually made it work, even if you still have your ups and downs. now, you couldn't be happier.

you and maddy had been together for a while.

9 months, one week, and 5 days, to be exact.

you knew she was yours, you knew she would never do anything to hurt you

maddy was the same, as far as you knew

but one day, when you two were at the mall near your house, you ran into an old friend

"oh my god, y/n?! is that you?" you looked around, initially not seeing anyone you knew, but stopping when you saw a taller man that you recognized. his name was caleb, and you knew him for 7 years before he moved away. you smiled brightly before quickly walking towards him and embracing him in a tight hug. "oh my god, I never thought I'd see you again, caleb!" he smiled at you and hugged you tightly, rubbing your back slightly. "yeah well," he paused, pulling away and shifting his feet, looking to the ground sadly, "my mom got sick and my dad got into a pretty mad accident at work so now I'm here. I have to take care of both of them for a while before I can get out of here again."

you smile at him before laughing softly and shaking your head. "yeah, hopefully I'll be out of here too, pretty soon." he smiled at you and placed his hand on your shoulder. "maybe we can go together!" you chuckled at his words and muttered a 'yeah yeah', dismissing his flirty behavior. "well, I have to go, my girlfriend's waiting for me". you watched his face drop slightly as you turned around and made your way to maddy, laughing at the man.

you saw the look on maddy's unhappy face, and your smile turned into a concerned frown. "what's wrong, babe?" she rolled her eyes and turned around, leaving you standing there confused as she walked away.

maddy was super clingy for a couple days. holding onto you wherever you went, whining when you pulled away from her, and yelling at you when you called her clingy. "well If it weren't for you eye fucking that caleb guy!"

you got into a fight about it, you told her you were laughing at him for flirting with you, and she told you that she wouldn't doubt it if you had been in love with him when you were younger and still loved him.

you definitely didnt, he wasnt your type.. like, at all.

you tried to tell her that you only loved her, that you were head over heels for her and you'd never leave her, but she didnt believe you.

she stopped begging you for affection and attention, instead showing up at all the parties you went to and getting affection and attention by dancing with other people. you were upset, obviously, you two never broke up, you weren't even on a break.

you ignored her attempts to make you jealous, sitting on the couch with fezco, high as heaven, instead of giving her the attention she wanted.

you could tell she was upset, but you did nothing wrong.

right?

anyways,

it was midnight. you watched maddy dance with a girl named michelle. that girl was a monster from hell, she'd hated you since you got with maddy, you always knew she liked her. you were the first girl maddy had been with, and the one that made her realize she liked girls. it broke your heart to see her dance with michelle. you sighed and looked down at the joint in your hand before taking one last hit and handing it to fezco, standing up and walking to maddy. you smiled when you saw maddy look at you with a smile on her face, but your bright smile was replaced with a look of anger and hurt when you saw her grab michelle's hand and lead her to an empty room.

"are you fucking kidding me?" you quickly walked towards maddy and grabbed her arm, pulling her away from an angry michelle. "y/n, what the hell?! what are you doing?" you scoffed at the dark haired girl and dragged her out of the house, into your car. "what the fuck maddy? what was that?" she looked at you weird, like you were speaking a foreign language. "what was what? I was just dancing." you scoffed, chuckling lightly, you were really getting pissed off.

"maddy, that wasnt dancing, she was all over you. why were you even going into that room?" maddy sighed and looked down before speaking. "I asked her for help.. we were trying to make you jealous. youve been ignoring me, so.. I thought it would be a good idea." you frowned at her and shook your head. "maddy, why the hell would that be a good idea?!" you looked at her and you immediately felt bad for yelling at her.

"I dont know! I just.. missed you, I guess. I felt like you didnt care about me anymore.." you felt tears well up in your eyes, why the hell were you crying? wait, was maddy crying too? shit. "maddy, of course I still care about you! I'm fucking in love with you, for christ's sake!" your eyes widened, you had never said that out loud before. she looked up at you with wide eyes, they were red from crying. "oh, maddy.." you put your hands on her cheeks and kissed her gently, swiping away her tears with your thumbs, before pulling away and leaning your forehead against hers.

"I'm sorry... I should have talked to you about it instead of going to michelle." you pulled away, shook your head and let out a quiet 'no'. you couldn't stay mad at her. "it's fine, I'm not mad anymore. are you alright? I didnt mean to yell at you.." she sniffled and nodded. "and.. y/n?" you looked up at her in anticipation before she continued speaking. "I love you too."

in the end, you and maddy got over it.

for as long as you could remember, you had hated maddy perez.

and as far as you knew, she hated you too.

every day, she would go out of her way to shut your locker as soon as you opened it, humiliate you in front of the whole school, and say horrible things to you. she would call you a slut, a whore, and.. a fag.

it hurt. a lot.

she made your life miserable.

and the truth is, you didnt really even hate her

"I um, I'm really sorry.. the only reason I said those things is because.. well, I really like you, I guess. and, like, I guess I was just really jealous of all the other girls you've been with. I didnt even know I was... gay..". you stared at the side of her face with wide eyes, you couldn't believe what she was saying. "you're lying, maddy. I don't believe you." she looked at you and frowned, seeming to be thinking for a moment. she replaced her frown with a slight smile before placing her lips on yours, pulling you closer to her and kissing you gently.

it was winter, the week before christmas and maddy was sick. it sucked.

you and cassie had to sit at maddy's house every day taking care of her, making sure she ate enough and making sure she was hydrated

but you weren't allowed to kiss her.

it fucking sucked.

every day you would try to kiss her, trying to convince her you wouldn't get sick because of one kiss

the least she could do was give you her sweater.

so she did!

it was cold out, really fucking cold. you were sitting on maddy's bed with her next to you. your hand was placed gently on her thigh, rubbing small circles with your fingers. cassie was next to you, playing with the ends of your hair and humming a tune. maddy coughed into her elbow before groaning and falling back onto her pillows. you didnt mind winter, but it wasnt like you 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 the cold to travel through the walls and attack you. you were freezing. the heat was on, but you could still feel the cold air from outside. sure, it was only around 50 degrees out, but it was way too cold. you weren't ready for the cold weather that this year brought with the winter season.

the next day at school, you couldn't stop sneezing.

but cassie was worried

she couldn't take care of the both of you on her own!

"y/n, I mean it. you need to drink something, 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽!" you gave her a look and turned away, not wanting to admit that you're getting sick. you muttered an 'I'm fine' before getting up from your seat at the lunch table and almost falling over, before walking up to a vending machine and getting two bottles of water, one for you and one for cassie. you handed her the water and "got you a water". you sat back in your spot next to cassie and leaned your head on her shoulder.

a couple days later, you, cassie, and maddy were on your bed, the girls laying on either side of you with maddy on your right.

you were all high, each having smoked a joint (that you didnt share, dont share a j with sick people!)

you and cassie were laughing at something maddy said when cassie started coughing

"I'm not sick! I swear, I got checked at the doctors the other day!"

yeah right.

you believed her, but the next day, it happened again

you and cassie were on your bed, maddy was sitting on the floor in front of it, facing away from you. you were braiding her hair and cassie was laying next to you on her stomach. suddenly, she sneezed a couple times. "jesus, cass, you sure you're not sick?" her eyes went wide and she shook her head. "I'm not, I keep telling you!" you laughed at her behavior and rolled your eyes playfully. "yeah right, 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿."

soon enough, maddy gets better, then you, and then cassie.

it took you forever but you got better. very slowly, of course.

maybe dont take maddy's sweater next time.

you were maddy's closest friend growing up, you would share everything and you would tell each other everything.

through the years, maddy began developing a crush on you, even if she didnt know it. she was confused about her feelings towards you, thinking she was just your platonic soulmate or something
