the Hobbit and OFMD

Stede and Ed are Bilbo and Thorin reincarnated. BUT! Neither of them know of their past life until they see each other as Stede and Ed but of course both of them are to stubborn to say anything about it/ don’t know how to bring it up in fear that the other won’t remember.

And ofc full of them nearly dying and out of panic they finally reveal who they are.
