It always pissed me off that Ron didn’t believe Harry didn’t enter himself into the Triwizard Tournament. I mean, this is the guy who defended him from Malfoy in the Express, who fought a troll and smuggled a dragon with him, who shared what he saw in the Mirror of Erised with him, went through the challenges to save the Philosopher’s Stone from Quirrel and that’s just in first year! And that little shit had the gall to turn to him and call him an attention seeking liar and a glory hound? I still can’t believe Harry forgave him. That kid has no self-esteem. If it was me, I would have kick Ron in the balls and refused to even look at him again.
I agree with almost everything except the part about Draco. Just because he didn't someone himself, doesn't mean he doesn't hold the same beliefs. If you can persecute Snape for calling Lily a mudblood at 15, then you can’t lower your standards for other people. Draco used the same word since the Chamber of Secrets. He threatened other students based on blood since he was twelve. He gave Harry death threats on the Hogwarts Express, in first year. He gloated about about a whole group of students being hunt down and petrified, to their faces. He bullied, attacked and harassed students based on blood for years. He was blatantly disrespectful to teachers that didn’t meet his purity standards. When do you draw the line about when Lucius’ influence start and Draco’s character begins? Not having the stomach for murder doesn’t make him any less than of a racist, bullying bigot. He’s willing to poison and curse but can’t face his victims? That doesn’t excuse his behavior.

that’s the fucking thing tho he never really stopped?? he just stopped allying himself with a very specific group of people. his issue wasn’t with the rhetoric or the ideology, it was with the people, and he never stopped mistreating muggleborns! so like ! he was a blood supremacist thru and thru and before anyone tries to get up my ass because “but so was draco”: draco was a teenage boy parroting his father’s beliefs who acted as an agent of genocide only when forced and who eventually refused to act and to take a life, not because he was particularly invested in that specific life, but because it was the right thing to do.
